Ok, so i have 10 euros to spend on the eShop, and i am considering these games:

Cave Story (Haven't played it)
Steamworld Dig
3D Galaxy Force II
Jett Rocket II

Which one do you think has more longevity? I would like a game that would last me a bit without getting boring or repeating. I'm leaning towards Cave Story, but also 3D Galaxy Force II seems very cool, and i'll have 5 euros spare to get another game. Any recommendation is appreciated.

Getting fit and funky, is that your desire?
Get down, boogey till' you catch fire.

Dancing shakes the soul and makes you feel alive
Shakes up your body *high five*

Dammit, this song has been stuck in my head for the past day because of you two.

Galaxy Force II is probably more replayable, due to being an arcade game. It fits short bursts of play due to its nature of being an arcade game. You also go over the game again and again until you can beat it, so it might fall into the "repetitive" category at some point.
Cave Story is a game you sink more time into, with more substance. It's not as massively replayable as Galaxy Force II, but it's not "repeating" as Galaxy Force II.
They are both great games, but I think Cave Story will fit your request more.

As much as I love Galaxy Force II and the other Sega arcade games, it's not a game you'll get hours out of, though it still comes recommended. I'd go for Cave Story out of those, especially considering you haven't played it and it has multiple endings for the replayability factor.

Do we know what to expect for next week in EU aside from Scram Kitty? I hope the GB Mega Mans are not too far away.

Welcome to my life. I wasn't even a big fan of DIY.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
No, I don't hate you. I mean, I'm disappointed, but...I guess I'll get over it...one day....I'm sure....

I just got that $50 card on Friday too so I have $50 sitting in my eShop account. This just doesn't do much for me. Sorry Max Doge. :/

Wish all of those game they showed off at the indie section at GDC as well as PAX were actually coming out. At least we know Shovel Knight is basically done and in cert with Teslagrad being wrapped up.

It's cool, Doge! I hope you've got your eye on Nihilumbra, The Fall and Aban Hawkins and the 1,001 Spikes, too!

The Fall is gonna be legit.

TBH my most anticipated game hasn't even been shown yet other than a name and that's Fast Racing Neo. Need it NAO Shin'en!!

Personally, I can't wait for Dex. 2D, stealth WRPG?

Sign me up. (Glad I backed it)

What's releasing in the next couple weeks that looks interesting? Scram Kitty and Swords and Soldiers HD are both day one.

Surely Ittle Dew, Wooden Sen'sey and Nihalumbra are done and ready for release, right?

Yeah, hopefully we'll get a trailer at E3!

Yep, I've been wondering about those for a while, too. I'll email the PR guy at BeautiFun games, I've corresponded with him briefly in the past. Maybe he can give us an update on Nihilumbra's release date.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/feature/37249/where-did-all-the-eshop-games-go

This article was posted a couple of weeks ago and talks about when all the delayed Wii U eshop titles are coming. It says Ittle Dew is aiming for May and Nihilumbra is only listed as 'ASAP.'

Zonic

Gives all the fucks
Wii U has it as well, as I use that feature a lot on both systems, especially 3DS. Shame other systems don't do that (PSN kind of does it if you're over $5 short of the item/total price you want to spend).

& I swear, I have the feeling if I buy Picross e to try the series out, it'll finally go on sale not long after I try it. Though I guess I could get that & then wait & see if e2 & e3 get discounted.

Do we know what the Wii U game will be next week on the eshop that isn't a VC game?

Alongside the aforementioned Scram Kitty, we're getting a port of a cellphone puzzle game called Color Zen. The trailer is worth a look if only because I don't know how to describe what is going on in that game at all.

So by accident (don't ask) I added 100 bucks to my account, and I want to spend some of it on digital exclusives, what you say gaf?, Child of Light, Unepic or Stick it to the man?. I was getting CoL for sure but that edge review killed my full price interest pretty bad D:

Not sure why no one talked up Stick it to the Man. It's a pretty simple point-and-click adventure game but the presentation is worth the price of admission. If you liked the trailer and think that sort of humour and art is up your alley, by all means buy it. It's short and a little expensive but since you've got $100 to chew through, that might not be the biggest problem.

Attention if you are playing Grinsia!

I figured I would just let everybody know, there is currently a game-breaking bug in Grinsia for 3DS. Approximately 1/3 of the way through the game there is a town called Harva on a western island (the first town you encounter after completing the
sunken ship
). If you enter this town the game will completely lock. Even the home button will not work and the only way to exit is to hold down the power button and hard reset the system.

This town can be skipped, but you will be missing a portion of the game. Also, be careful to not enter this town if you have not saved recently, since you will be forced to lose all data since your last save.

Apparently NICALiS is working on a patch, but there doesn't seem to be any solid information at this time.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what happened there. Aside from a couple small typos the game has been great so far. There are other complaints about this issue out there (after doing a quick Google search), but not many people are talking about it right now.

Pretty good week for me, with Kirby and Conception II.

I'd be tempted by Scram Kitty, but a genre I'm totally unfamiliar with + 10€ + already busy with Child of Light + limited time on the Wii U = skip for now. Still wish the Dakko Dakko guys good luck :)

Still got to finish Senran Kagura Burst on the 3DS. Based PQube Japan for the agressive pricing for this awesome game :)

Didn't expect Mr. Driller 2 so early. Is it good? I only played the DSiWare Mr. Driller game, which was nice, but is this one different enough to buy it, too?

I wonder what this years Platinum club Nintendo reward is. First time in 4 years I have platinum. I'm hoping it's nothing lame like those cards from some years ago.

NoE interviewed Dakko Dakko about Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails

NoE: It sounds like the difficulty is flexible and adapts to the player’s skill – is it something anyone can play?

DD: It definitely is. We tried to make it so the Lazy cat, where you just need to get to the exit, is accessible to most players. But the Scaredy cat, for example, is designed for people who want to work out special routes to find shortcuts, or who think, “OK, instead of killing that enemy, I have to navigate its very-difficult attacks quickly, and just get out of there fast,” so that’s a more advanced level for people who really like to speedrun things. Or there’s times that it’s just really dangerous to deviate from the main route and collect all the pennies, so you have to play a whole stage much more carefully, and, of course, sometimes you may be taking different routes to avoid, or find, a tougher enemy. So we made it in such a way that, hopefully, everyone will get different things out of it and then players, as they go through, will become more skilled and will go back to the earlier stages and save the more advanced cats.

That reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy 2 comets a bit. Sounds like a real fun game. Here's the launch trailer too.
