Seems like it works with both the PC version and PCSX2. Essentially, you can switch styles during missions/mid-fight now, rather than having to select your style at the start of the mission or use statues. Like DMC4, basically.

Hooooooly shit.

the game wasn't balanced for this though

also, the pc version of dmc3 is terrible. i wish they'd just give it a proper remake or something. even the ps2 was better than the pc version last time i tried it and i doubt they could mod it into something decent

Holy shit dream come true. There are so many new possibilities opened up just by allowing QS/DG to be used along with other styles.

DMC4 is dead to me.

Which makes it awesome, because you're limited to how well you can play. Royalguard got ultra nerfed in 4.

Damn, this is really cool. Going to have to try the is out. Talk about breathing new life into a game. Not too worried about it breaking the game, it looks like it would be a ton of fun.

Guess it's time to look into those improvements on the PC port and install it to see this.

Though having SIX styles over the FIVE DMC4 had seems like it'd be an issue (switching between Quick Silver and Dopplerganger)

DMC3 Ultimate PC Edition and DMC1 ported to PC.

Nah, DMC 1-3 HD collection, it prints money.jpg when put on Steam.

Just remove the stupid "SD filter" that DMC3 has. Going back to the title is rough after DMC4 due to the SD-resolution wanting with grey blur "filter."

The King is back, and better than ever.

Now for someone to mod in Nero, the bosses from 4 (sans Sanctus), and replace the enemies of 3 with the ones from 1, and we'd get probably the closest to a proper DMC5 we're ever likely to get.

DMC4's on the fly switching was insane (especially with Dante). Shame that DMC3 PC ver. is mediocre.

People have been playing the balanced version for close to a decade. This can be a breath of fresh air.

This is a cool novelty but I actually preferred DMC3's combat to DMC4's. The game is better balanced with just one style at a time. It is nice to feel like a walking death machine every once in a while though.

Fuck, this might make it better than Bayo now since that was literally the thing holding it back.

Well, DMC3 was always better than Bayonetta, so obviously yeah.

This would also make DMC3 have better combat system than Dante in DMC4, since now there is really nothing holding DMC3 back.

PC version sucks though, make you get the mods and fixes to clean it up.

You're mistaken because the holy trinity of action games is DMC3, Bayonetta and NGB. There is no better or worse.

I like DMC4 more than all 3 of those games.
Also Character action games need me to like the protagonist, I do not like bayonetta so thats docking some points.

3 I'd agree with, probably my GOAT.

4 had great combat, but it wasn't a very good 'game'.

Bayonetta was a better game than 4 imo.

I thought 4 was a very good game. Little light on the content part, then again I liked a lot. And I like Uncle Dante and Nephew nero more than Catwoman McTrish.

Seems awesome, shame it's the PC version tho, I've heard that runs like shit.

DMC4 may be disappointing in some ways (well, backtracking mostly) but the combat is so sublime that its easy to look past that (if you are into this genre for the gameplay).

And you get not one but two different characters to play as who have two very different, yet fully developed, play styles that absolutely rock.

Its the character action game I see myself coming back to again and again.
