Regarding the ending of Dead Body Road 6:
How was the female lead pregnant? Was it because of her hacker boyfriend who died at the beginning of the series?

I have to admit, I'm not digging the Batman Zero Year arc as much as I thought I would have. Still fairly early into it though.

I did get Futures End at the comic shop though, thought that was pretty neat.

I've never really gotten too deep into the SHADE part of the DCU (nor the Firestorm), so Future's End, however it turns out, has been a way for me to explore areas that I normally wouldn't. I don't know if it will be successful in the end but I'm glad to have been given a reason to check them out.

As to issue #4; Lopresti is normally an artist I really adore but his linework here feels rushed which is extremely unfortunate. His Amethyst in Sword of Sorcery was gorgeous and she doesn't get anywhere near the justice she deserves. I do love the facial expressions on some of the characters, though, Father Time in particular. Lopresti can draw cheeky quite well.

I just discovered there's a big convention here in Indy this weekend - Pop Con. It's all gaming and comic related. I guess I'll be going on Saturday/Sunday. Could be pretty rad.

Also, I picked up Uncanny X-Force and have decided to use that as my springboard into X-Men. From there, I plan to read Uncanny X-Men. I have a long road ahead of me...

That anger! We see Bruce has always had a thing for setting symbols on fire. Also, the flashbacks are perfectly conveying that young Bruce suffered from PTSD.

Zero Year is really adding to the mythos of the origins of The Batman.

Agreed, as I'm reading it I find myself wishing they'd give up with the weird hodgepodge current day timeline and just carry on from this point. This should have been how the nu52 started. Although saying that you can see how far the team has come now, they couldn't have pulled this off at #1

Five Ghosts is definitely worth $5. At like a dollar a ghost, you can't beat it.

I didn't find Trees in print, so I read digital. It's interesting and I want more. All the while I was hunting I was smirking about the idea of walking into shops asking if they had any trees.

I think my favorite of yesterday is Chew/Revival. Deadly Class and Rover Red Charlie were also damn good.

and Lumberjanes is the Comixology free comic of the day. e:beaten :)

Was pleasantly surprised to see Guillem March did this latest issue of Batman Eternal <3 I wish DC would give him more than just Phantom Stranger covers.

And, yeah, pretty much don't want Batman:Zero Year to end. Is there any reason to be excited about the creative team coming on after this arc ends?
