They only put the single player on PS+ before, and this looks like it's the same thing so you still have to pay for multiplayer. You don't need to buy the DLC map packs though, they made that all free.

Take PS+, it's free in EU, has bee for a year (like Gravity Rush and Uncharted Golden Abyss for VIta) :

PS+ has monthly games that rotates, and had yearly games too. Grab it fast as I think it updates next few hours and they cancel yearly in US PS+ this month so...
.That's how it works. The singleplayer is technically DLC for the F2P multiplayer. It downloads a bunch of different stuff, actually: 3D movies, language packs, etc. Some of it is optional, so the actual download size should be smaller than 40 Gb.

I would do that right now but I had EU PS+ for so many years now and I would lose all the games if I switch to US PS+. I should clear my backlog and then switch over, but all these games man.
But what if I already downloaded the F2P multiplayer? Will it compound eith redundant data and just TA up memory space on my PS3?

You can't get the platinum trophy with this because one trophy requires you to complete a co-op game and you must pay for that. All others are obtainable.
See the pick above. I think you need to download 2D movies (3D is optional), single player experience and you're good. I actually did that myself a year ago when it went free on PS+.

I'm downloading everything right now it seems. Is there a way to choose what parts of that I download? I mean, all I really need is the "Single Player Experience" and "Single Player Exp. 2D Movies", right? I'm just worried that this thing will shit the bed halfway through and be like, "Sorry, no more room."
They are all separate downloads, you can cancel them separately, via webstore or on the PS3 itself. You don't even need to start all of them at once.

I even downloaded Killzone: Shadow Fall a few weeks ago because they messed up and made it free. My account is just fine.

Also, while I will "buy" it, no way I'm downloading it again. I already made my way through the game once, and there's no way I'm downloading this massive thing again.

You can play any games you download to your system on any account, so you don't really lose anything and you can choose which account you want to keep your trophies on.

But I meant switching PS+ from EU to US. That means canceling PS+ on the EU account and subscribing on US instead. Canceling the account will make me lose all the games and new ones will start piling up on US account instead.

Ah, I see. Well, I though "main account" referred to the one you played games on lol. EU PS+ is usually superior anyway, so I wouldn't sweat it.
