PC Drivers for Xbox One controller are out.

Just picked up the controller with a play and charge kit in a great deal at target. Really like the controller the little I spent with it. The sticks are so much better than the DS4, Sony really messed up there. What's great about the play and charge kit is I can game from my couch without buying another cable. All those other miniusb cables that come with other gadgets are pretty short, the length on this cable is perfect.

It's cool that it's plug and play and works instantly, I didn't even see a install drivers message, my controller just turned on and vibrated and everything was working. :)

Thanks for finally bringing this guys.

Just tried it, it worked well but I had a hard time to resync the controller with the console after unpluging it from my PC.

I only tested it on Pinball Arcade, but they work just fine. The triggers feel too sensitive, though. Even a little press on them is enough to activate the flippers.

idk how much play and charge kits cost but you can buy 3ft and 6ft micro usb cables online for 5-7 dollars.

Worked fine yesterday. Now I get a runtime error and "Xboxstat.exe stopped working" whenever I plug it in and the sticks don't work.

This is fantastic news. I hated going back to my 360 controller on PC after using my XB1 controller. I underestimated the XB1 controller at first, but I love the finish of the controller (stays dry in the hands) and have gotten used to the sticks. The dpad, while still not great, is also a welcome improvement.
Hmmm, that part has me more interested. 360 controller gets greasy feeling quite easily.

Played some Watch Dogs PC with my X1 controller...felt great. Glad MS didn't forget about this.

Yes, just came home from my local electronic store and test my brand new Xone-Controller on Watch Dogs too.

And then I suddenly realized I can now destroy the space-time-continuum.

I'm so funny.
NOT, please do not ban me!

Honestly it is a nice controller and you can pick it up at around 40€. I think that is a valid option for PC-Gamers.

Ok that's weird, RT and LT are not recognized on the arcade stick :/

Can't seem the see any input from those

The back of my XB1 controller is shifting about, as if it's going to peel right off the controller. It's a Day 1 controller. Anyone else experiencing this?

I also don't like how there are vertical stripes on either side of the back of the controller, etched into the plastic. It's abrasive when you're gripping the controller up.

Lastly, for my big-ass hands, the shoulder buttons are too far away to simply allow my fingers to rest on top of them as they did on the 360 controller. I found it really noticeable while playing the UFC demo which makes use of all of the available buttons. I was literally reaching for the shoulder buttons.

Controller's sub-360 imho.

So, it seems the headset doesn't work for voice? Unless I'm missing something. Hope they patch that in. Was ready to ditch all my 360 controllers, but that's what I use for voice chat on PC so this kind of sucks.

Damn, I was getting ready to ask about that. Sucks the headsets don't work.

Might buy a controller for this, since the PS4 controller sucks on PC (no official drivers) from what I know.

I have only tried the controller for a short amount of time, would you guys say it's a considerable improvement over the 360 controller?

I think it is. Very, very ergonomic, much better d-pad, better triggers.

I personally prefer the sticks but that seems to be a bit of a divided issue.

I would recommend it.

So there's still no way to use xbox one controler wirelessly on PC? Hm, they should have done drivers and wireless adapter at the same time :/

Easily. Any concerns you might have about it (maybe after having held it or played a kiosk once or twice) melt away and you realize it's the best controller out there. The triggers are perfect (bumpers are a little off, but easy to adjust to) and the d-pad is awesome. I love the click.

Get it.

Not really, I like it more but it's more of a refinement (to me :P) than a considerable leap forward. You do get more rumble though!

OH, the dpad is better though so yeah that might be considerable to people.

It feels strange at first with smaller, looser sticks but yeah, it's an improvement over the 360 pad. The bumpers are the main point of contention amongst users but everything else is pretty sweet.

If you have a 360 pad already then you may as well keep using that, otherwise you can't go wrong with am xbone pad unless you absolutely must have a wireless controller.

Was considering getting a xbone controller PC to replace my 360 one but since there isn't a wireless method I went with a PS4 controller and it works perfectly with Ds4Tool and Bluetooth.

Got myself a X1 controller for this today, my 360 pad is pretty worn out!

Didn't have to even manually install the drivers on my 8.1 PC. Just plugged in, and Windows pulled down the drivers from the internet by itself.

Tried with Dirt 3 and Rogue Legacy and it works perfectly.

button wise, nothing.

shape and trigger designs are different, pad feels a little lighter, sticks are looser and smaller.
So, nothing, then. Just another controller. Well, I've already got an X360 controller, and it works fine, so I think I'll just be sticking to that.

Alright guys, thanks, I really appreciate the answers.

I'll probably pick one up on Tuesday. My 360 pad is pretty beat up, so I was back and forth between buying another one of those or this one.

Glad they put out the drivers. Hopefully there's a wireless solution in the works as well, since I'd rather not give up my eneloops.

For the life of me wish the Mic worked through the controller, I felt pretty stupid playing games last night

360 controller with a mic in 1 port, Xbox One controller in the other, just so I could Skype voice chat with my friends/teammates

cant they get X1 pads working with the existing 360 pc receivers? What could be the difficult part in such a process?

Is the dpad on the xbone controller as good as it better than on a wii classic controller pro? I use a 360 controller for most stuff, but the wii controller for fighting games and the like, but it would be nice to just have one controller for both.
