Rumor: 3 more Wii U exclusives hinted by the one who hinted at Devil's Third

As Reggie said (about Devil's Third) in an venturebeat interview:

Reggie: It’s the same thinking that has us securing Bayonetta 2. For us, it’s important to have a range of content. Our developers know the developers of these various series. For us it’s a great business opportunity.

So we "just" have to seach for those connections and we might get the answers.

Was Vanquish 2 ever real or is it just a pipe dream?

I can actually believe Darksiders 3. Problem is: who would make it? Nordic would just contract out the IP.

Crytek Austin? :/

The point was that clearly the E3 build wasn't early in development. The game has been around for a long time.

Yeah, apparently Sony-owned ones too.

I always thought Ninja Theory owned the IP.

well MML3 won't for sure

and Mistwalker has a mobile focus now
Yeah, but they don't need to do the games all by themselves, just as they did last time, and if they have any chance at making another console game, it's with Nintendo on their side. Sakaguchi did show interest on the WiiU in the past.

After Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon, I don't think Sony is ever going to allow another company to own an IP they've invested millions in. Which is to say, Heavenly Sword is owned by them.

As others have mentioned, Lily Bergamo became Let it Die.
Could have been split in two, with the old gameplay concept becoming Let it Die and the concept designs and characters used in a (spiritual) successor to No More Heroes. Throwing away all that awesome Kozaki art would be such a waste.

Rodea would make me happy. Naka basically said it's what he would have made NiGHTS 2 into. At least gameplay wise.

Cry-On would be awesome. Nintendo really should be on the line with Mistwalker to make an RPG on the Wii U. Nintendo could capitalize on the low number of JRPGs on the other consoles and would benefit in Japan.

We'd need Shikamaru Ninja for that :p
I don't think it's small titles so we can probably exclude Q-Games already. Don't know enough "independant but not that much" japanese studios to make other guesses, other than partnerships with the usual suspects as already said (Tecmo-Koei, Namco, Capcom, Sega).
Suda51? We also need to remember that Nintendo hired guys that worked at Square-Enix or other companies in the past (like some from F-Zero GX, some from Capcom...). It's really too hard to find a good connection.

I heard Sakurai is friend's with a janitor working at Sony Japan Studio, what could that mean?

Lily Bergamo lives as NMH3 : Shinobu (and her new friend) :p

I think you're on to something

No More Heroes Gaiden with Iroi Tae and Shinobu as main characters. Travis Touchdown is retired as a character.

That or just give us Lily Bergamo as an actual game and not this F2P monstrosity.

Such wasted art and potential.

It does feel like Nintendo should announce another big JRPG before Xenoblade releases if they want to sell consoles to that crowd.

Yes we know that. We want a game that has the art and the main character.

The gameplay may have become Let It Die, but Lily Bergamo is still it's own thing with it's own characters, lore, and gameplay.

It had a freaking No More Heroes cameo in it and it would be a waste if they didn't utilize the art at all.
Ah, sorry I misunderstood. I'd love to see Lily Bergamo reappear one day too. It becoming Let it Die was such a downgrade and disappointment. :(

That sounds plausible. I remember Suda saying that he wanted to make a new No More Heroes game, so maybe Nintendo could help fund the spiritual successor.

I really hope Cry-on is true. That would be the news of the year to me. But for some reason I thought MS owned that IP?

Yeah, it's such a waste, atleast they should reboot Lily Bergamo and it's art as a traditional action game.

Was Eurocom working on an original IP before they were shut down?

Edit: screw it, I'm going with TimeSplitters 4. CryEngine was up and running on Wii U according to Yerli, shame to let it go to waste.

If Devil's Third cleans up nice it could be the perfect storm for shooter fans, together with Splatoon.

Cry On was cancelled a decade ago. Why would you believe that Mistwalker would go back to it ?

And why do you think that those two exclusives are revived canceled games ?

Just saw the trademark for it was cancelled in march of this year also.

Nintendo is going to do a lot of second-party, nothing surprising here.

And lol at funding Devil's Third, with that money they could've made Hotel Dusk episodes.
(I'm not joking.)

And yeah Megaman is almost definitely happening.

no idea what eurocom were working on though i think it was a dumb of nintendo not to buy them when they went under

i'd be surprised at timesplitters 4 as aren't crytekUK gonna be too busy with homefront 2 (which was pretty much a certainty for wii u but not coming anymore)

I wish they did this kind of thing with 3DS titles as well. 2015 es looking quite dire and it could use some Megaman Legends 3, and Rodea Sky Soldier.

It is a clever way for Nintendo till fill in some holes. Low cost, low risk ventures that they can show as expanded offerings

I'd be difficult to narrow down with Sakurai in the mix. He's the Kevin Bacon of Japanese game development.

My grandpa's heard from his butcher that half life 3 is going to be a wii u exclusive. Apparently the guys who developed it are in dire financial straights.
