I would imagine since June is the beginning of the summer holiday at a lot of schools/universities in the US. Numbers tend to drop back off in July.

I cannot imagine streaming taking off when OnLive seems to have stalled and outside of Minecraft, all the recent notable mobile and PC titles are F2P. If consoles and handhelds are compared to PCs and mobile respectfully, and PC and mobile is winning, then the obvious future is not a service which requires a monthly fee to access, but instead games which are free, but focused on selling digital stuff to be used in-game.

shinra-bansho and I's angle don't leave another option besides 87K. If 3DS was significantly wrong, then the other numbers would be off, too, and that's not the case. Maybe creamsugar missed a bundle to add together to get his number?

I'm suggesting the total hardware sales for this month are greater than originally thought. What did you use to determine total hardware sales? 60k for Wii U? that's been corrected to 61k

Hmm I suppose that would naturally change everything else too though Hmm

So with June being a 5 week month... could both the 3DS and Wii U top 100K next month? I actually could see Tomodachi Life & June in general pushing hardware a little bit so that WoW the 3DS stays about the same at this month at worst putting it over 100K.

I seriously do think the Wii U will at least do 100K next month. It just needs to have a 25% WoW which MK8's continued sales and their pretty good E3 showing should provide imo. (Just was at Target and apparently their MK8 bundles have been sold out constantly throughout the area according to an employee. I only brought this up because he just got a call asking about it =). It got worse after the E3 week apparently too. Purely anecdotal but still).

I suppose it would imply either we're measuring it wrong or CS was incorrect with it as it's 2-1 against what we get with his method

Exactly. One being significantly off will affect the rest, too. The best guess would seem that creamsugar's number is different than what others are seeing, and since creamsugar adds up the different SKUs to get his numbers (I think), it's possible he missed a SKU that sold 10K or less in his 3DS total.

I like round numbers. 95K okay? Or does it need to break the 100K barrier?

Speaking of, anyone know where the PS3/100K version of this GIF is at?

May 2014: Nintendo 3DS: 82K~100K (I'm taking a liberal range since we haven't figured out what it is yet.)
May 2013: Nintendo 3DS: 113.5K (NPD added that the 3DS was basically flat to last year, which was a 113.5K result. Presumably it was up slightly as it was over the Xbox 360's 114K.)
May 2012: Nintendo 3DS: 113.5K (+17%) (from MoM)[Comes from Anita Fraizer statement below and last year's result.]
May 2011: Nintendo 3DS: 97K

It took 4 years but the 3DS is roughly where it started out as....

i wonder what are the xbox one and ps4 numbers are. I hope we get something this month because I want to see how much of an increase the xbox one without Kinect will be.
