Nothing for Summer looks interesting to me outside of Tokyo Ghoul and Terror in Tokyo, so I think I'm gonna be watching through Darker than BLACK.

The Light of El Cantare
Do those other shows have ROCK AND ROLL CRUSHING THE TYRANNY OF THE IDOL INDUSTRY!?

I dunno, man, the protagonist is kind of a feckless doofus and the shinsengumi actually have their shit together and can put on a show. Mixed signals on who to support here!

I'm pretty sure that Sengoku Basara isn't above having an idolgroup as big antogonist.

Should've gone that route with Tsuruhime.

Haha wow. I thought it was intentionally making the viewer think it was Satsuki. Looks like I gave them too much credit lol.

Love Live s2 9-13 -END-

A poor man's K-on s2 "we're graduating and therefore leaving a stage in our life behind" but still weirdly entertaining for whatever reason. Flashes here and there of some pretty entertaining comedy amidst the ridiculous (yet somehow genuine, yet still overblown) melodrama.

CG dancing is a curse upon our world.

Hahaha! Even the first time around, really? And Ryûko somehow thinks that was Satsuki?
Should have gone with a black silhouette, à la Conan...

Right, that would have solved all their problems. What they've done here is just admit that it was really stupid to begin with, but they haven't really solved it.

Isn't it just great that we're at the point where your show doesn't just not have to be fully-animated by air time, but not fully-written either?
Yep. They should just let it be and said "yep, totally what we planned". Now it just looks dumb. I already posted it in the KLK thread, but the other bad thing they "fixed" was Gamagoori fangirl.

WHY?!

Well, there is an original character voiced by the main singer of the series...
Hype rising :D

Even if not, GitS is a legend. All people should at least tried it.

Apropos, I don't feel Arise yet. It's nice and all, but something is missing. Also I dislike the artstyle. Not that Motokos torpedos were appealing in SaC, but the faces in Arise are weird.

Yoko Kanno is whats missing

Looks like other companies are following SHAFT's lead in making their BD releases worse than the TV release.

Truly SHAFT is a trailblazer in this stagnant industry.

But of course, as you could expect from Sengoku Basara, it's a dude.
(Guess there would have been Itsuki, but...)
Well, I'm fine with that as long as he gets an epic choire that sings german without any reason.

You're right.
But that's not all. Maybe it's just the slow progress of the team. GitS was fine with the team already assembled.

SHAFT is making things worse? I can only remember some Madoka pictures that were hillarious, because the trench of the school grew bigger with every fix.

I just finished watching Seirei no Moribito. It was so good, having pretty much marathoned the series I hadn't realized how much attached I had gotten attached to these characters. It was tough saying goodbye at the end...

Reading up on it I learned that the series continues in novel format but was dropped by scholastic after publishing the sequel. There are currently 10 additional untranslated volumes. It hurts man.

i still dont understand these shitty bluray redraws.
Well, the most fixes make sense. Some poorly drawn stuff happens while airing. Also gotta remove them steam and lightbars.

I know that feel :/
I love this show, got it all on DVD, but no hope for a sequel despite almost everything in this show was fantastic.

The Nisekoi fixes were weird as shit too.

Haha, oh my god. "Shit, guys, we're not artsy enough!"
Well, SHAFT has difficulty to shock me, after I watched Akiyuki Shinbo's hentai without knowing about his involvement.

Makes sense when you didn't have time to add all the details you wanted when it aired on TV.
Manga artists do the same when they release volumes.
Except Togashi. He at most finishes his doodles.
TV, BD and then those movies I assume?
Yes.
The picture is from before the movie was released, so it's from some trailer. Maybe they changed it in the movie again, never saw it.

Shaft takes redraws to a whole new level.

I hope they redraw like 75% of Mekakucity Actors for the bluray then. I actually enjoyed the show but it's super rough looking by Shaft's standards lol

You gotta be fucking kidding me. That's fucking ridiculous.

Oh Shaft. The left looks like the enhanced version LOL

WTF is wrong with this studio

Just finished watching episodes 4-10 of Log Horizon.

That R
ound Table turn around.

One of those moments that leaves me with a wide-faced grin for the rest of the episode.

They tend to get a lot of shit over that, but while there certainly are rather questionable changes and even some downright detrimental ones (introducing new continuity errors, really?), I still think it's an improvement overall. I mean, they do fix a bunch of off-model drawings:

I'm waiting the result of Ping Pong BD redraw btw, if the result are great then...
Aren't they releasing the whole thing as a box fairly soon though? Will they have enough time for that?

XBLAnnoyance
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers Episode 14:

Okay, I can see why people don't like the middle portion of this series, it is getting dragged down by some poor pacing and its own internal politicking which as much as they try to justify isn't making a whole lot of sense to me. I mean I can see where this is all heading but the internal logic isn't working since there is a lot of contradiction going on at the moment, Then again that could be a very unintentional bit of poignancy on the nature of government by this program. Also, this program needs to stop insulting my intelligence with that Fate and Nanoha are "best friends" shit
when they share a bed and just adopted a kid.
Seriously, this like one of the most progressive anime couplings I have ever seen and they have audacity to try and maintain ambiguity?
