Aldnoah Zero episode 1

I really enjoyed it. There are obviously holes in the consistency of the exposition as others have noted, but I'd still take that over how Fate Zero handled their first ep. Yech. I also found this much easier to grasp in my mind as far as the initial premise goes.

The political aspect was thankfully easy to understand, and I feel like I got a good sense of the world the anime was trying to portray.

The first half is totally a history lesson in disguise but I found it all easy to understand and pretty interesting, personally.

Wasn't sure what exactly I was in for other than Attack on Titan music and Urobuchi, but this is a pretty strong prologue of things to come.

It kinda gave me Last Exile vibes. Maybe it's the colonial martian clothes thing. But it's all good things.

RightStuf always does DVD only. This isn't a problem for me when it comes to stuff that either doesn't have a BD release in Japan, or stuff that is only upscaled on BD. I think it's pretty terrible when it comes to stuff that has great BD versions in Japan though. Like Utena. SO pissed off about that right now.

Maybe if the budget DVD collection sells well, they'll consider the BDs then. Ugh.

DEATH GUN is a fantastic name for a villain, i love that he doesn't even have an insane gun like a BFG just a simple pistol lol i am suitably entertained.

New OP is alright, but I saw something of interest in it and that was a MECHA WITH A CHAINSAW WHAT
New ED is generic. Both seem to have pushed the incest-o-meter up a couple of notches.

Looks like Onii-sama will step into the action next episode, hopefully it will be less dull then the rest of these matches

Yeah Im aware of that. I have serveral RIghtstuf releases.
Have any of yall seen The Third- girl with the Blue eye? I actually bought it on a whim a few years ago but only watched the first couple episodes. It hadnt really gotten anywhere to that point.

I think it's safe to say this show met my expectations. It's has a very relaxed yet cheerful atmosphere. Naru's voice actress definitely stands out, It's not perfect but it's very charming. It reminds me of the first time I heard Chiaki Omigawa.

Naru is TOTES ADORBS! This is probably the closest thing to an animated Yotsuba so I'll take it with a smile :)

This is surprisingly watchable despite the slow pace. The characters are animated well, and actually speak like people, so the whole thing actually feels somewhat lively. Not good, but not bad either. Though who knows when the studio will blow all of their budget, then we are left with just another slide show.

Director for worst boy.

Ugh, what am I doing? Why am I watching this? Why would you send Kirito into a world with a pro gamer killer? You just know he'll be earning the esports dollars on his first day. Why not send in a government agent, someone who's experienced with undercover work and firearms? No, I guess that would make too much sense. Also in this epsiode, watch Kirito and Asuna hold hands for 10 minutes and talk about...time and space? What the hell were they even talking about? A park in Japan is the centre of time and space? What? I'll admit that the GGO world seems potentially cooler than the generic fantasy environments of the first two. It also looked potentially like there would be a lot of gross cg mud, I don't know why they thought that looked decent. Also DEATH GUN does appeal to my adolescent inner self. He's got a cool fuckin robot skull helmet, a badass cloak and sweet bandage arms and he can shoot a bullet through an ethernet port! I hope he pops one in the side of Kirito's head. I bet DEATH GUN is the kid in the ED, the friend of blue haired girl.

I actually have two copies now. the really old boxsets and the newer Nozomi releases.
You might as well wait for this value collection since the whole point of getting the other set was to get dat ring.
Its a nice ring.

The show improves enough that by the end you may catch yourself enjoying it. Do not be fooled by this. This is the entertainment equivalent of the Stockholm Syndrome. This set is so long, has kept us its whimpering mind-dead prisoners for such a chunk of our lives, that we are pathetically thankful for every decaying morsel of substance it throws our way. So thankful that eventually we start thinking it's not such a bad show. But it is. It is an awful show. I could type until my fingers got gangrene and still not be done enumerating its abuses. Watch it if you want to know what Yoshiyuki Tomino was reacting against when he made Mobile Suit Gundam. Watch it if you want to see the mecha traditions that Hideaki Anno drew on for Neon Genesis Evangelion. Do not watch it if you want to be entertained.

Mahouka Episode 14: Nine Schools Competition Part VII

Great new OP though kind of spoilery, imo, but at least confirms three more books will be covered in the remaining twelve episodes. Change probably came too soon for the OP.
Tatsuya flying in that battle suit, the mechas for Yokohama Disturbance, and a bit more, too early
They also love showing upper bodies for some reason, Tatsuyas and Crimson Prince even.

Ed was nice too with Tatsuya's pose at it came on, though made him look OOC with the two CAD like that looking obsessed with power, and his friends getting moments but kind of liked they displayed the popular pairings.

I wish they had shown more of Morisaki and co in Monolith Code as they had to endure that match and were overmatched by Battering Ram. More action could have spiced it up and helped showed more of the event, than just a roof collapse.

This seems like it will be a comfy and fun series. Putting it above Aldnoah Zero for best first episode yet.

Wow. What a fanfuckingtastic first episode. I'd argue that alongside Aldnoah Zero, this is the other strongest opening of the season.


The characters so far? Amazing. No joke there wasn't a single character I hated and I laughed pretty hard with the town chief.

The lead guy? Great as well. A flawed character with a temper, but has a cynical sense of humor and sweetness to him. When he pushed the kid because she pissed him off I swear I lost it. Too good. Love this guy.

The lead kid? I gotta give props to the VA. Gave her an amazing personality with the tone changes and pitch alone. Few times a small kid in anime is actually a small kid and not a loli.

Gonna say that's a matter of when not if Stardust Crusaders comes to Toonami, heck I wouldn't be surprised if it aired there as early as this fall. Attack on Titan and Bleach are currently ending on the same day, we know that DBZ:K will be replacing one of them so the block needs another big name anime to start off and Jojo would fit that spot nicely.

The match between the sister and the flat chested freshmen was completely pointless

And of course Onii-sama will take part in the combat game against the other gary stu who's also a trained soldier despite being a freshmen in high school.
