Has anyone seen anything about Guacamelee getting an update on Steam for the Super Championship material? Sort of annoyed that it's out on all the consoles but there hasn't been news on the PC side. I replied to Drink Box on Twitter and they didn't respond.

Sorry if someone's asked this recently.

To be honest, living in London I should have it be a raincloud raining pizza down, but I'll try and stay optimistic about the weather for a while longer!

oh god ... BROFORCE all the way ... Mercenary Kings is just boring, grindy and repetitive as hell imho

Mercenary Kings has a bit more structure to it, and you can craft new weapons/armour etc, and there's more in the way of missions, but Broforce is really, really fun. Plus it's already good and they're going to be adding more. I'd go with Broforce to be honest!

Edit: I should point out Broforce is Early Access so they're still adding lots to it - it may get more features as it continues development.

I think Broforce will grant you more fun over time, but Mercenary Kings is a great game too.

Agreed, really disappointed with Mercenary Kings, wish it was more Metal Slug like how Broforce is and less...uh slow it is.

Broforce, having tons of fun with this game already even though it's early access. Beat the campaign and still looking forward to playing more

Thanks a lot guys, definitely going with Broforce then! Love the premise of the game as well. Can't wait!

Ms. Modbot! That's an awesome name, haha. Just use Modbot 1's avatar with a bow on it. Who drew the avatars, anyway?

m0dus, who did the graphic design for GAF's last theme circa-2009 or whenever, did the drawings based on photos of me, gromph, and EviLore in order.

Its hilarious when you get traders adding you to buy your games, even though they have multiple copies of the game in their inventory, and they straight up tell you they want to buy it off you to sell for profit.

Also, one hour left:

Wow thanks, been wanting to try this game for a while now!

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
That's... pretty terrible to hear.

Yeah, sometimes humanity disappoints me. I don't give in to bullies easily, and I hope that everyone knows to only get software like Enhanced Steam from trusted sources anyway.

What? It's possible to make addons that enable remote access to the Inventory?
I am glad you're a trustworthy person.

Yes, a lot of Steam's functions, since they've been ported to the web, are javascript based. For example, someone could write an addon that sends a trade offer to the author that contains everything in your inventory and gives you nothing in return. Someone could also potentially write a script to purchase games using your Steam wallet funds or associated credit card, store them in your inventory, and trade them away. All of this can happen transparently in the background without you seeing a single dialog.

Honestly, it's one of the reasons I decided to release Enhanced Steam as an open-source application. I want people to be able to see the source code for themselves (if they'd like) to know that there isn't anything funny like this happening. For those that don't understand javascript, I want you to feel safe in knowing that enough people have checked over the code (and that enough people use it) to know that something like this isn't taking place.

And after looking over that other script, I can't say that I would personally trust it enough to install it, ever.

Your avatar is beautiful!

Haha, thanks! I have a little template thing now, changing it for the summer sale has given me the bug to customise it for other events now. I'm looking forward to Halloween now, ha. It's from Hawkeye, the Marvel comic, if you didn't know and wondered where the art is from. They did an issue from the perspective of his dog, coloured in the spectrum that dogs can see:

He also only has one eye. Aw. And now I feel like I've derailed the thread with lots of discussion of my avatar. Back to Steam talk!

Ha, yeah, I recognised you and EviLore, didn't know gromph though. I know m0dus's stuff from the wallpaper threads and his awesome artwork. That's funny. He's a talented guy.

SteamWorld Dig completed.

Game was short and sweet and addictive as all hell. Definitely one of my better pickups during the sale. Do recommend.

I am getting an error .

"Error loading Enhanced Steam Data. "

If you press Ctrl + Shift + J it will bring up the console and will show you which page errored out. I'm working on adding this information to the dialog in a future version.

Installed Guacamelee recently but it really didn't captivate me, although this is based on a 5 minute first impression. From screenshots and some user reviews I thought I'd like it from the start, but in general I'm not enthused. Feels sparse and loose.

This may just be the effect of coming off of Shovel Knight though, which felt more satisfying from the start. May give it some more time sometime later but idk.

I really liked it but wish it was twice as long. i felt like there wasn't much exploring other than "dig straight down to the next cave"
Yeah, I agree. I was actually surprised it had an ending. I would've been happy with just digging and upgrading as long as the game could have thrown new items at me.
Gosh you people are old
Just turned 40 here. I...don't like it very much.

The game takes off after about 90 minutes. The first hour or so is kind of boring. But the ride for the rest of the game is great. I almost quit on it as well but I am glad I stuck with it. One of my favorite indie games from this past year.

I really enjoyed it myself, back on 3ds. I surprisingly really ended up liking the universe/story as well. Plus the developer replied to me in comments somewhere, and was super nice, so I support them whole-heartedly! :p

You are not alone. So much praise that I expected to love it, but I played for maybe an hour and didn't feel like it did enough to set itself apart gameplay wise. As far as indie light metroidvanias, I much preferred Dust: An Elysian Tale.

I didn't find it that boring at first, but yeah, there's a lot of abilities you get later on that add so much more, at the start you tend to just run from place to place. It does get better though.

I get this :

What should i do to fix it ?

It's trying to get your wishlist, but it's basically saying that you're not signed in to the Steam Community site, so it can't.

Try opening your wishlist, and make sure you're signed in there as well. Then go back to the main page and it should work.

It does get better after getting through the tutorials and getting more skills, it also starts out a bit too easy

Thanks ,now it works .

Still strange that you also have to log in there as well .

Is this simply a bug ?

Oh gosh this is awkward.

I wrote a negative review about Ballpoint Universe sometime ago, saying that while its visuals are wonderful, its controls sucks.
Now I got an answer from the dev itself suggesting me to change control scheme in order to find one that fit me.

It's already awkward enough to know that the dev actually read (and bothered answering!) my negative review, but here he missed my point... I could move from gamepad to keyboard as much as I want, but here it's the actual gameplay that is lacking. :(
Don't feel bad. If anything, your situation makes me curious enough to want to try the game. I'm sure I'm not alone. And because it's in a Humble Bundle, he'll probably get additional buyers this week.

Yeah it's a bit of a bug. I've got a fix in place for the next version, where rather than using Steam's "/my" url moniker, it will get your SteamID from your cookie data and use that to build the URL. The difference here is that if you're not logged in to the community site, and your profile is public, it'll still work as intended.

There is like no decent AA solution for the Witcher 2, huh? I tried using an SMAA injector but nothing came of that and whatever the fuck the AA setting is in the configurator doesn't do anything noticeable. Ubersampling is still pretty rough on my setup so that's out of the picture. Meh.

Also, the parry system never really seems to work for me. So, first you block an attack, then you wait for the prompt to show up before the enemy strikes again. problem is is that i never see the counter prompt on the second attack attempt. Meh.

Still, the battle system seems better than the first game, i can use a controller now (YAY), and the game's pacing so far in the first two hours or so i've put into it is leaps and bounds better than the original. I might just see this one through.
