RE: Revelations 2 spotted on russian retailer's site (PS4/ONE/PS360)

cw_sasuke

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
Considering they moved the game to home consoles pretty quick I don't see any reason to have expected any sequel to be on 3DS tbh.

Moved ? lol Consoles got a HD version more than a year after the 3DS version, your post makes it sound as if they cancelled the 3DS game in development to put it on consoles instead.

How accurate is that russian website?

Usually they are quite accurate. As far as Russian releases are concerned.
They probably get info about RE:R2 and DMC remaster from Russian distributor of Capcom 1C-Softclub. AFAIK they translate games so there are chances that they know something beforehand.
Here they answer some concerns telling customers that the game is to be released later this year, its a new entry into the series, and they do not have further information since the game has not been yet announced.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It's good to have factual information instead of dumb replies.

Guys, a Soviet spy told me the following:

- RER2 is set in a gym. Someone has removed all of the doorknobs, so Jill is unable to escape.

- Jill is wearing really, really, really tight yoga pants, because she's in a gym.

- The monsters are tall gangly creatures with "wandering fingers."

- Every other chapter, the game jumps to Chris, who has taken up Turkish oil wrestling.

- Chris is trapped in a sauna with burly monsters. The doorknobs have also been removed.

- Most polarizing plotline is Parker's. He's lost weight and is mistaken for Russell Crowe. Cast into "Gladiator 2," he fights zombies from a chariot.

I'll report back when I find out more. I'm using Bing Translate to understand this guy, so there might be some inaccuracies.

Throw in some tank controls and a couple strategically placed camera angles and I'm there.

I wish it would have come to the 3DS too.

Part of what made Revelations as impressive was playing it bite sized on a handheld in 3D...

Oh well...

As a Russian and regular customer at this store. If it is there - it's most likely true. They knew about AC IV: Black Flag announsment couple of month in advance and they are never, and i mean NEVER put up a preoder before they have received specification from distributor.

That made a lot of parts of the game forgivable for me. I just can't get excited about this if it's a similar quality release and not on a portable system.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Russian retailer? Obscure Russian retailer? Yeah, not buying it. There are so many out-of-nowhere SKUs that many obscure retailers put up to preorder and that, then, never come truth.

There are other retailers that, when a SKU of a game is up, you can say there's a quite good chance it's going to happen, though. Even non-mainstream ones (there's that Spanish retailer - Xtralife or something like that), but this doesn't seem the case.

Again, not buying it.

EDIT: Wait, a little posts above me, lol XD
WarrenMax007: Did they literally know about ACIV: Black Flag? I mean, the exact title as well?

I believe it.

Now that I think about it, do we know when the page was created for the game? I mean, if it's old, that would mean it could be not that true. Anyone who knows how to do that?

I asked the guys from different retailers in Moscow (I mean my friends and acquaintances in management). Most of em haven't heard about these titles. But the guy close to 1C Softclub told me that, yeah, he knows about DMC remaster and that there's new RE for nextgen which is probably gonna be announced very shortly. He bets on Gamescom for both announcements.

Probably yesterday, 12 July.
The block on the right shows New releases and the first comments regarding sudden "announcement" of these games appeared both on store pages and on videoigr's social media only yesterday.

Mmmh...at this point, I suppose we'll have to wait and see. There are elements that make this much more believable than what I thought initially, I can't deny it :p

Thanks.

If you think about it Revelations 2 is pretty damn plausible.

RE7 sure as hell wouldn't be the first current gen Resident Evil. At least one spin off would have to come first.

It's a Revelations sequel, and the game was clearly made with at least a sequel in mind.

It's for PS3/PS4/X360/XB1 (probably also PC) which makes a lot more sense that a 3DS exclusive, either timed or not.

Dead Rising 3 aside Capcom has released nothing on the new consoles. They are the masters of multi-as many platforms exist on earth-platform. DmC upport and Cross-gen Resi Spin off both make perfect sense, timing is also perfect.

I believe.

As much as I love Revaltions and am now enjoying the HD version, I can see why sales are kinda low for the HD version in comparisons. Most casual fans just instantly see a 3DS game with a minor visual upgrade and immediately think it's a cheap experience. Plus many series regulars already own the 3DS version and there wasn't really anything new in the game. Like others have said, the existence of the HD version is very telling for the 3DS sales.

Yep, I miss Claire too, her design in REUC was quite good.

Don't ever say such blasphemous things. Pink and black shorts > blue jeans shorts and brown bag.

I'd be okay with this. Outside of the cutaways from Jill's campaign to the awful action sequences, Revelations was a decent throwback RE game, if still too influenced by RE4. I'd be pretty excited about a sequel if they are willing to go all the way and make it a full-fledged survival horror game, and not dumb it down as much as Revelations' design was. Even if it's just like the first one, though, I'd prefer that to a continuation in the RE6 direction.

Wanna bet that it's fake?
No PC, sequel to a spin-off and also coming before the much rumored mainline RE are all red flags to me.

Now I'm hyped for TGS.
