So now that we know ND is watching, why no Doughnut Joel and Ellie?

For those of you who say "If you want 30fps, play the PS3 version"... well there's a couple things wrong with that statement.

1. The PS3 version is 720p and also exhibits some texture loading issues in some areas.

What's wrong with wanting to play it with crisper graphics at 30fps?

Do you guys honestly think a game like The Last of Us should feel like Call of Duty? Because I don't.

60fps feels like an arcade shooter to me, but 30fps helps engross me in the game where I almost forget it's a video game. It's less video-gamey.

It's all about presentation.

By the way... just because these consoles are strong enough now to do 60fps, doesn't mean they'll stay that way. Devs are going to keep pushing for bigger and better games that no only look better, but have more realistic physics and these once-strong consoles aren't going to cut it and they'll HAVE to either cut corners to get the 60fps update or they're gonna want to drop down to 30fps to have a great-looking but still fully playable game.

You guys act like the PS3 wasn't capable of 60fps... when in reality, the PS3 was perfectly capable of 60fps, but as games get more demanding, you'll see more 30fps games. That's the reality of the fixed hardware.

i don't think that playing at 30 fps will make the game look better. The option for 30fps is there for people who want to play using this framerate, but the visual enhancements are there for both versions.

In general, if you want to play in 30fps, no problem with that. I would like for you to try out the 60fps option though, maybe you will be impressed by how good it can look.

not a jab at you, but i've seen a lot of people say "videogamey" like if this is some kind of negative thing when playing videogames.

i mean, i never went to a movie and saw someone say "that movie is so moviey"

I disappeared to play the Destiny beta and was so surprised to see the gif chain still going XD Glad I made you guys laugh.

The Destiny beta will make the wait for TLOU so much easier.

Has there been any word on whether or not they'll make that customized audio preset available to download for the Gold headset that was previously issued for Pulse?

To be on topic and randomly gush about this game I'm going to ramble about my love for it:

I played the PS3 campaign 4 times... still dying to replay it again on PS4.
I played both multiplayer campaigns to finish, and then played a few hours-worth more.
I Platinum'd the PS3 version.

Even with all of that I'm almost literally itching for this game. I plan to Platinum it again.

I'm also looking forward to dipping into Left Behind for the first time; I sold my PS3 right before the PS4 came out (and thanks to this remaster, and the forthcoming PS4 version of GTA V, I don't regret getting rid of my PS3).

I think all of Gaf is going crazy on this thread. I blame the lack of gameplay screenshots and videos. Like, everyone is losing it. Hilarious
