Gosick 16-18

Though 18 comes from a different book, it flows nicely enough from the end of the previous two episodes. All the storylines, all the background elements, starting to come together now. Wouldn't be a mystery series without at least one case on a train, either. Looking forward to the final batch of episodes, since these felt more like setup for the endgame, if anything.

you could just post in the ot instead of all the meta talk to keep them alive if you care :b

the only ots that can survive on their own over there are the latest fads like attack on titan or kill la kill, nothing this season like those except maybe aldnoah after a while longer, we'll see or big known older properties.

Decided to marathon this since I didn't pick this one up last season. Gotta say though, this is probably where I'll be getting off. This shit is a terrible walking cliche that's almost painful to watch-from the borderline Sis-Bro incest to the walking Gary-Stu protagonist, this shit is just awful.

The guy has the personality of a burnt piece of toast-bitter and rough to the core. And the surrounding cast just so conveniently goes along with whatever our Rambo-Einstein-Tesla-Sherlock Holmes-Deadly Ninja does. Dude is worse than Kirito. It's a shame too cause I don't even mind Gary-Stu's when done right like Iron Man.

I think at one point this shit even tried to justify elitism, and plebs should just be plebs and shut the fuck up, all the while victim blaming them. That's too much for me.

Black Butler - Book of Circus 03

Fuck Tokyo ESP, seriously fuck Tokyo ESP.
This is the adaption I am looking for. Book of Circus captures every important aspect of the arc, be it content, be it fun or be it the general feeling of the original. And it adds very useful scenes that explain the setting and the characters to those who didn't watch anything else of Black Butlers. It's perfect to get in and enjoyable for newcomes and enthusiasts of the manga.

It was incredible to see how much fun Sebastian has in teasing Ciel and in performing on ridiculous high levels. Joker is super fun too, the way he talks is too charming. "Suits" dead serious appearance in this colorful circus cloth was super fun too.

I am so gonna die when the last episode hits :,(

Is it me or was the camera moving ever so subtly during this scene? It's a nice effect to show the heat, but it really hurt my eyes for those few moments

The episode seemed alright. Although so far the weakest link is easily Lisa. I hope she plays an important role later on, because as it is, the story would move on just fine without her.
Although I guess she'll eventually find Nine or Twelve and convince them to let her stay with them.

Well yeah, if I were to do a rewatch it would be in chronological order.. But to experience it the first time, broadcast seems pretty mandatory. Otherwise it ends on...the videogame episode?

And I was told to skip Endless Eight.

Yes, I noticed that too. At first I thought it was my lack of sleep, but it was pretty easy to confirm by concentrating on the subtitle.

Just watch all episodes at once.
In this case the dub is so much better since it is so difficult to read 8 subtitles at once.

I watched in DVD order and enjoyed it. Don't skip all of endless eight. Try to watch all if it if you can stand it. :p

maybe that's for the best, I don't think viewers can relate to any of those characters even if they focused on them more now, it's not meant to be, they are messed up people and drip feeding it is probably better, lisa's mother just looks insane, whether that's her view on her we're seeing or she's really like that time will tell. they briefly teased a new character too this episode in the flashback, it wasn't all wasted

on the other hand detective is way easier for viewers to side with, I think it was the smart thing to dedicate the early episodes to that and keep the viewers hooked. the others are not likeable or supposed to be, I don't really care about that but I see it matters to a lot of people, no characters to attach to -> drop out, understandable.

Remember to watch the 3 OVA episodes too! Really loved how everything comes together very slowly in this, but still much of it comes together perfect by the end

That was a good episode. It contained a more difficult riddle that helped showcase the Detective's skills. And we get a bit of a flashback of Nine, Twelve, and another character that will come to play. Visuals still look great and can't wait for more of the cat and mouse dynamic.

I think the police force just beat out Lisa as the least interesting aspect of the show.

Hm? The previous episodes made pretty clear, that the police don't have any man - except Beardy, that is - that can handle our favorite terrorists. But I think that the meetings and talks of the police made clear, that they are not passive waste. They have knowledge, manpower and other ressources that just have to be used in the rightway. I loved the police meetings and the analyzing of the information they have.

I can understand wanting to own a copy of EoE, but don't drop that much money on the North American DVD from Manga Entertainment. The video quality is terrible. I'm glad I only paid $5 for it at a Blockbuster.

Figured it would be a battle of wits anime. Still pretty solid. Kind of funny that they said the first one was too hard and gave an even harder riddle. I wonder how Lisa is going to get involved in this battle. I'm thinking she'll eventually join up with 9 and 12 but I want it to be something a little less predictable.

Yeah like I said, I considered it just to own it. But that price is insane, I doubt I would even watch it again for a couple of years since I only did watch Eva earlier this year.

They're re-releasing as an anime classic on Sept 30th.

I missed the first run so I could only find it from other sellers who charge a premium on amazon.ca. It sucks being Canadian and buying anime. I've missed out on a lot of anime and I would have to import from the US which isn't cheap and then customs charges me again.

Buying from rightstuf is also bloody expensive as shipping can get up to 30$ for one bluray. :\

I disagree. I actually like Rise japanese voice and her english voice actually bother me a long deal.heck i guess i must don't mind her at all as long as she doesn't do the generic tsundere role.
( she is also great as Iori in idolmaster BTW )

Tokyo Ghoul Episode 4

That was an enjoyable episode. I mean we got to see a guy orgasm multiple times over food, so good and funny. Though I really can't wait for some real battles and I want to see more of Toka. I'm definitely gonna get BD from Funimation when they release it to watch it uncensored.

I have the limited edition Baccano. The show looks amazing in blu-ray, almost like water colors.

Yeah I really want a Blu-ray re-release of Baccano. I mean on amazon it costs like $114 to $300, so expensive.
