North America Virtual Console has 150 3DS releases, 100 Wii U releases.

Europe Virtual Console has 144 3DS releases, 102 Wii U releases.

Of course, you'll find a way around this and/or baby cry about something else entirely, but I thought I would just put the numbers in front of your face.

Also, as everyone has said, it's getting really old Top Hat. Rather than constantly complaining about what we don't have to folks who can't do anything about it, go and bug Nintendo on twitter or something. It's not that we don't disagree with you that the VC output is oftentimes crappy, but that you seem to think VC should be prioritized over new indie games or actual development. The indie game output has actually been pretty good lately (since April or so), so I'd say Dan Adelman has done his job quite well. If VC was already making more money than these indie games, they'd probably pursue and focus on that route, and Sega and Konami would be releasing tons of titles on VC. That's not the case, so it's not a high priority for Nintendo. If you'd like that to change, bug Nintendo, not fellow fans.

It's like, geeze, we got Ufouria the other week - which is an awesome game - but apparently that doesn't count, because it wasn't that game, and "it was only one game." Yeah, but it's a fun game - go play it.

I noticed the eShop music is different. Does that happen every month?

Not sure if every months but it does change regularly. I wish there was a soundtrack of that muzak (there are youtube videos etc).

Problem is, I already have that US account with several games.

All users on a Wii U can play all eShop purchases so you don't even have to give up playing on the US NNID (or you could make a third NNID of a South America country whose flag you enjoy and the system lets you set up as...).

Indeed. You'll just need to make a judgment on whether it's worth the inconvenience of juggling two accounts for the convenience of using a credit card. Even if you don't use it, it doesn't hurt to have one anyways. I'm in Canada but I keep a US account as well.

They've done physical releases of the Colecovision games they've done, so I'm inclined to believe they have the know how to do physical releases.

So, here's a question: I recently picked up a Japanese 3ds, which has me interested in the fact that its VC seems to have stopped. It's certainly got a nice line up, but its not without its holes. So I guess my main question is what worthwhile releases are still missing, and is there anything preventing them from being released?

Off the top of my head, Mother, the Dragon Quest games, the Gameboy Wars games, and whatever's left of SMT: Last Bible (maybe because 3 is on Super Famicom? And then that isn't on WiiU yet?) are all unreleased.

I have some generic classic controller for the Wii. The quality is pretty poor, especially the D-pad, but it's usable.

Whoa. I'll have to pick up both of these on cartridge.

I wonder if the eShop versions will be released on Virtual Console, since they are being developed for original hardware. That would be the first case of something like this, which would also open the doors for other indie Virtual Console releases (such as Battle Kid or Super Bat Puncher [if it's ever finished]).

My daughter just saw me playing the 360 game the other day, and wanted in. But I only have one controller. But, she does have a 2DS...I hope it makes it over.

I ask because I want to buy them (I love Layton, have all the other games and the movie), but the following months will be hard to me because of so many games coming out, so I thought about waiting for a sale or something like that, even if I think that I never saw them on sale before.

Neither 3DS Layton has gone on sale in NA. The closest we got was you could get Donkey Kong Original as a download when it launched.

No, we're getting Mega Man, 5, 6, X3, & Battle Chip Challenge this month. Battle Network 2 & 3 are coming eventually, but most likely won't hit until sometime next year.
