I beat it by listening to you guys. You take 10 steps, baby giggle. Listen to where you hear her last crying and haunting. when music stops you go to that spot. When music comes back and you hear more noises start yelling or talking into your mic. Second baby giggle happens and you stay ABSOLUTE STILL. then virbartion and phone ring.

I thought so too at first, but it just feels like that because the right stick actually controls the flashlight, with the camera lagging behind slightly. The problem is that you have no flashlight at the start, so it just feels like there's tons of input lag. Once you get the flashlight it feels good.

this worked.

What I did:

1. stood by the radio until midnight. (just looked at it, did not press R3)
2. stayed there until the noise from the ghost started, and then stopped. room went back silent.
3. walked to the phone. heard the first baby laugh.
4. waited by the phone. noise started again. did not move. waited till it stopped. heard second baby laugh.
5. controller started to vibrate. baby laughed again, phone rang.

I got the first laugh spot on but I'm standing by the phone and nothing yet. Hmm

I've been playing this game in a dark room with headphones on Vita remote play. I've shit myself quite a few times. My mum heard me and was asking me what I was screaming about lol. I rolled my eyes at those "real reactions" at the sony conference. I believe them now.

Getting possessed seemed to work as well for me. I could trigger the first laugh from HELL -> radio -> phone, but nothing past that. Having her possess you and then selecting any of the other objects (radio, fetus, clock, phone, etc) seemed to get me the 2nd trigger. Then it was just a matter of hitting up the phone for the end.

OK I just did it using the advice by glottis8 but it was a bit different.

Walked straight to radio and waited for bells.
Straight after bells walked 10 steps to phone.
Got first giggle after the 10 steps then I just waited at phone not moving for 2 hauntings, during third haunting I got second giggle vibration and phone ring.

oh.. that one? there is a random encounter where she will just get you... she doesn't posess you that time tho.. she breaks your neck and then eats you lol... you restart in the empty room before the hallway, there is bag to the right that talks to you, and it moves you forward to progress in the game.

FINALLY AFTER SO MANY HOURS I CAN RELAX. Can't wait but please don't do this final sequence kind of gameplay in the final game Kojima.

Ended up using ten steps for first giggle/going to where she was haunting and letting her disappear then just standing where she was. I'd say ten seconds after got the second giggle(haunting music hadn't even started yet)let the controller rumble thru followed by third giggle then phone rang. This was what worked after trying every other method I've seen posted(sitting at pause screen/walking back and forth/etc)

Well after playing for 5 hours last night an only being able to trigger 1 giggle, I finally put my controller down around midnight. Had to get up at 6 am this morning, and feel like ass. Damn you kojima lol

Posting this again. Saying stuff is not needed, all that you need is the mic to be on. But if it adds immersion go ahead. What we should be focusing on now is narrowing down what triggers and what is extra stuff that does nothing, saying stuff I think is extra stuff.

So I got the telephone to ring about 7 or 8 times, found a pattern that worked 100% of the time still dont know exactly why.

For sure mic on, I had done this for 8 hours with no mic and never got anywhere. With mic on I finished it 7 times in like an hour. I even turned the mic on and off inbetween loops, every time mic off nothing, mic goes on I get the second giggle somewhere.

THERE IS NO NEED TO SPEAK, MAKE NOISES, NOTHING. Just have the mic on.

Ok there are two giggles, let us not refer to them as 1st and 2nd cause there is no set order to them. Instead there is the 10 step giggle and the waiting at a lisa spot giggle. 10 step giggle is super easy, after the bell walk ten steps from the phone or radio back down the hallway, stop and stare at phone or radio. Works 100% of the time.

The next giggle seems to happen during a haunting most of the time (though I got it between hauntings once). Basically some spot where Lisa haunts will trigger a baby if you stand still at that spot during a haunting. What spot that is is still a mystery, believe me we tried every theory, we think maybe it was where lisa was last spotted but I think that is too inconsistent.

Basically the spots are:

1. The loop entrance
2. The phone
3. The mirror
4. The radio

And perhaps the basement, outside the bathroom and near the photo though that seems far less common than the four above.

It doesnt matter if you got the 10 steps giggle before or after, sometimes during a haunt stand at one of these spots, wait. If it doesnt happen go to the next spot and wait. Keep doing it you will get the giggle.

It worked for me every time. Some took quite a few hauntings, some where the first spot I picked.

So that is what I got.

I do think there is some pause method maybe, but again all you need is two giggles. I wonder if there anyone that beat this with no mic on. Also I have read wAy back of people that beat it with no telephone, anyone have details on this?

You mean kill you? I think it's failing at puzzles. The first area she kills you is when the radio says look behind you, if you don't do the gouge out thing she will kill you. Also after loading a save in the infinite loop the first time she possesses you she will kill you if you wander around a bit.

The 10 steps is whats bothering me too. If it was looking at something, that makes sense, since the HELLO! puzzle uses a similar player viewpoint trigger.

But 10 steps and stop is too specific to not be hinted at somewhere. Where else have we heard or seen 10 things?

And I'm beginning to think that maybe the "Haunting Spot" giggle is an accidental trigger of the 10 steps giggle.

Finished it in under 10 minutes (last sequence) doing the 10 steps for the first laugh, then randomly walking around constantly saying "hello" into the mic (stopping all movement when the music and groaning starts) got me the second laugh shortly after, then staying completely still after hearing the second laugh waiting for the 3rd laugh, and while the controller vibrates not moving, then came the phone call.
