gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Does the list of countries that need a vpn for activation count for all games on nuuvem marked as region-locked or only for mg rising? Would be good to know for future purchases.

If only it were so easy, but I mean, you could...

He probably pulled that from SteamDB, you have to go there and dig through the subs for every game separately.

...just ask. Saves you (as in the nondescript user) the trouble. ;)

Edit: Added the smiley so my post doesn't seem condescending.

I keep going to the REmake store page to admire it.

It's so fucking cool to have a legit copy on PC finally, feels like a dream. Hope everyone picks it up.

Any legit place with CS:GO cheaper than Steam? I really regret not being able to get it that time it dropped lower. I wonder why Valve is discounting it less than previously now, other than because they can.

Well, there don't seem to be that many reviews. Its a visual novel and the background plot is a pretty basic one of cyborgs and the meaning of humanity. You work at a "nanotech" company which should really be called a cybernetics company. I can say that the voice work isn't bad, and the plot twists are very interesting. You have to navigate your work and your relationships with real care, because there are several "bad" endings.

Tom and Helen (your best friend, and your GF, respectively) are pretty vanilla characters so far (1 hour in). But Tanya
and Julia seems interesting, but I nuked the lab right after meeting her.
is really interesting and has much more of a personality.

There are 24 endings! I've already gotten 5 of them and I've only played an hour. You get a real sense that your decisions add up. I assume the later endings get more and more interesting.

Oh, thanks for the impression! I'll give it a go. :)

For you.

They don't want to drop the price further because of cheaters and their alts.

in short not right now

traders are selling for 3 keys and if you buy keys off the market, you save like ~.20-.30 USD

and my guess for why it isn't 75% off like they've done in the past is that there is a problem with smurfing in the game

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
They don't want to drop the price further because of cheaters and their alts.

Also, don't underestimate the power of "because they can".

The last time it was 75% off the game was still struggling to gain traction over TF2 and even consistently fell below the player counts of other games like Skyrim and Civ 5. Now it's the 2nd most popular game on Steam besides DOTA2. They really have no reason to discount it below 50% - it's already at the top of the top sellers list.

There are traders with Counterstrike Complete for 3 keys + 2 ToD tickets. If you need or want the rest of the junk thats a good deal.

Yeah that sounds like a good explanation. If by cheaters its meant people then using throwaway accounts, well I'm not sure the price is the issue there...

The Buy order system is an amazing thing for games that hit bundles a little late like Bionic Heart. Instead of listing my cards and just watching the price plummet and them never sell, I was able to unload all three at a reasonable mid-range value to someone's pre-existing buy order from when prices were high. Which will also in general keep the prices from dropping as fast, as people like me aren't sitting there relisting and undercutting repeatedly. Pretty much a win-win situation all around.

Edit: Curiosity - yesterday people were reporting that they could get Defiance cards without owning the game, is that still true now that they "fixed" the f2p stuff?

Grabbed Counter-Strike: GO so i can play with GAF soon, and man, i suck so far, as some others have also said. Fun game though, worth the 7.50

Edit: Holy crap, i just saw they are charging 21 bucks for that Kick-Ass 2 game. That seems...excessive.

Thank you Chinzo for being such an incredible guy. He just added me on Steam and gave me a battle-tested Asiimov P90. the skin I wanted for so long but could not bring myself to pay so much for it.

I'm at lost for words. Such an amazing guy.

The gun is worth around $16.50. I mean... like damn.. <3 I barely even talked to the guy. but wow. He knew I've been going through some bad stuff and he just gave it to me.

No problemo man. You have given SteamGAF a lot, so I thought it would be nice for you to be on receiving end for once.

I did play some games with you guys during the GAF CS:GO Nights, but I can't stand playing with 100+ ping on NA servers, if you're used to <20 ping here in Europe. ;__;

You can turn off re-tweets on a per-user basis. I do with about 99% of users I follow, because if I was interested in the people they're retweeting, I'd be following them myself.

I did not know this, and I feel the same way. Thanks man.

I chuckled to myself when I read the price. $25 would have made sense if the game were released alongside the film itself, but a year after the fact? Just as well the Autumn Sale is three months away.

Edit: Let the record reflect that I did not in fact chuck to myself, haha.

But they totally went all out on the port, with steam achievements and cards and everything! That's significant for a console port I suppose. Somehow the distributor is the same company that sells the terrible joke simulator games though. Maybe it will get bundled. I love the series but the game looks pretty terrible.

I've heard that buying the Operations for CS:GO usually pay for themselves via drops and stuff, but does that still hold true if you can only play for maybe 45 minutes a day?

Yes and you can just join an idle server twice a week

Could you explain idling to me please? I joined an idle server today for about 45 minutes. I got two drops. I idled while I was gone, probably an hour to 1.5 hours, and I got 0 drops. The first two drops were the first drops I have ever got. Is there a limit on # of drops a week? Do drops depend on the # in the server? What all affects the drops? I was in an idle server with 3 minute matches, but I don't know if that affects anything.

They are random, normally 4-5 a week. Idle servers are just regular servers that dont kick for being afk

That's a lot of endings.

Your impressions seem good...putting it higher up my wishlist.

What exactly happened to explode? There was a disparity between 1.6 and source players before all of them going to CS:GO?

And Brazilians being able to use their currency on Steam probably helped.

Idlemaster is probably increasing sales of indie games dramatically if I'm anything to go by. All out of funds now but still got 130-odd games left to idle, I'll support a few more indie devs yet!

So, is it safe to get Fable Anniversary from Mother Russia?

Sure is, I did!

Maybe you guys can help me out: I forgot the name of an upcoming action 2D platformer, inspired by Megaman X (maybe?), sprite-based, 16-bits look... I remember a video, the two main characters were battling a boss in a circular room, the boss was like a mechanical snake and the characters had to shoot the head to defeat it.

Anyone remembers the game I'm talking about? I would be very grateful! :D

It's Rex Rocket and it's awesome.

It totally has a snake and its definitely Megaman inspired. I'm not sure what the other game is you're thinking of.....

Still hasn't come out, IIRC. The video was a work in progress. Two main characters (a girl and a boy) and they had banter before battling the boss. The sprites were closer to Valdis Story than the cute blocks in Rex Rocket.

Mighty No. 9 is the Megaman inspired game that got funded through Kickstarter, is that what you were thinking of?

nope, it was sprite based.

Totally drawing a blank. If you figure it out let me know it sounds like something I'd be into.
