What is the infinity thing? Is it a game demo?

Its just the game, but you need a base and toys, its mostly for people who are upgrading from Wii to WiiU, but you can find a used base and toys for cheap.

Japan did get a demo for Disney Infinite, NA has not gotten a demo on any game in a long time

I hope they do this for Disney Infinite 2.0 Marvel, since I only care about it for Marvel game, and I hope they put NFC inside the toys so I dont have to buy a base

Nano Assault EX for $7.50 eh. Time to try out the demo and see how I like it.

Might be a good excuse to use my new Circle Pad Pro LL since it's only being used for M3HU right now.

I don't know...even if they smash naked beaver into the screen, the game itself looked pretty bad.

Heh, I hear ya.
But it's actually pretty OK. Art style is really nice and clean, and the gameplay is pretty OK too (similar to Plants vs Zombies I guess). You can also upgrade your monsters and mix them in research to make new ones.
That being said, localization kind of blows and I wish the 3D worked. It's also a bit dark, colors should be more vibrant.
Overall though, not a *bad* 4 bucks spent.

By the way, you can't do anything in the free version of Disney Infinity without the base. After booting it up it asked me to link my Disney account (which I did), then goes straight to a prompt to connect your base to continue.

I suppose I'll need to find one of those, hopefully I can get it for cheap.

Yeah, also there was no sound at all, did this happen to you as well? Strange.

Also the game is 10 fucking GBs! Clean out yo fridge! Sorry Basic owners. :(

Also, during the download of the main file, my internet was interrupted and it said there was an error connecting to it, but resumed downloading from where it was, that does no harm to the file does it?

I ask since on my Vita I had to pause and resume many big downloads since I was out and they were big files for my then small bandwidth (got over 3x the cap since!), and Gravity Rush in particular got buggy and kept freezing on me and the CS rep said to rebuild the database which fixed it all up, citing that as the reason.

Just curious if I should just attempt at redownloading the whole file without accidental interruption.

Not certain but I don't think there were any audio issues. Nothing seemed awry anyway.

and pretty sure download interruptions are harmless

But why is it rated M? From the trailer it doesn't seem any worse than Disgaea.

Hah, I had no idea what this game was. I watched the video, saw that and said hmm. I'll give it a shot
Any impressions? Because the description on the site:
- Intense battles that can only be won through strength and skill.
- Expansive demon world with diverse locales to be explored
- Various demon heroes reveal their personality through captivating voice-over work.
- A gripping storyline.
I can't help but to laugh because there must be something they're not saying.

Chip battle focuses on the battle system of EXE and does away with the overworld. It centres around tournaments and alows you to choose different characters.

To be more accurate, doesn't it focus entirely on deck building? IIRC you're moves in battle are controlled by a CPU. It was definitely a weird little game, and I'd certainly recommend pretty much anything from the normal series over it, assuming I'm recalling correctly.

Wii U.

Original GBA is best GBA anyway.

And why? The games might look somewhat dark on the Wii U, at least that's what I gather from the eShop screenshots and trailers. Same as the NES games, only on a lesser scale. Not sure about the original GBA, I only have a couple of SPs (AGS-001 and AGS-101 which is vastly superior).

If anyone was curious, Layton vs Phoenix Wright digital is little over 11,000 blocks. Embargo lift is next week.

Embargo is a bit excessive at this point, as the game has been out here in Europe for a fairly long time.

Embargo in this case is being used to make sure all the reviewers can finish without rushing because some reviewer played it during the European release.

Well, I understand, but I guess that nothing is stopping people from publishing import reviews of the PAL release or something (or reposting their older publications from around that release's time).

So I did a side-by-side comparison, bought Fire Emblem for the VC and fired it up on the AGS-101 at the same time. I thought that the latter did look better, although not by much. The colors were just more more vivid on the GBA SP's screen and everything looked somewhat paler on the Wii U gamepad. Might record a video later, although I'm not sure how capable my iPhone 5S is of performing such a task lol.

Almost piqued my interest.

I would be interested in seeing that video.

Oh, so you can't pay this Disney Infinity thing without something else? Should've read more closely, I suppose haha. I'm downloading it now, thought I'd give it a shot. Oh well, hope I will get some coins out of it.

Because:
1) You can take the GBA outside with you
2) You can actually use the original GBA outside
3) The system design of the original GBA is the best

Normally I would agree with you, but then I remember how horrible the GBA was without any back light.

Backlighting killed the ability to use handhelds outside.

Was at the beach with my wife a couple of years ago, and we were trying to play some DS games, and we simply couldn't see a thing on them.
So, I ended up just going back to my beach-standard GBC.

I beated Turtle Tale last night and I think I can say this game is pretty bad. It's just so badly designed and pretty ugly to boot too. I think the physics are about the best thing about this game and they would relatively fine if the attacking wasn't so shoddy. Your only attack is a pitiful water gun fired at about chest high. The water rarely kills things in one shot so you are constantly stopping to fire your gun and kill the enemies. Since the water fires in a downward arc, you are at a big disadvantage against flying enemies. What's worse is that one kind of flying enemy is homing as well so you can easily get hit by them without being able to hit back. While each stage does introduce something new, most of these gimmicks stop your momentum so you must regularly wait. The fruit collectable is a poorly concieved idea since they are almost entirely very easy to collect and they serve little purpose. There are far too many per level making them hard to keep track of. You should avoid this game and its eventual Wii U release

Does anyone know why NES games looks so great on the 3DS ?

I´m playing through the Mega Man games right now and I´m having a blast.

Is it because they are native res. ? (240p ???)
