And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Wrath CE is nowhere near 400 dollars :p More like, $100.

I really wish they'd reuse some more WC2 motifs in the new music as well. There's some great stuff in there that they have yet to tap into. Seems more appropriate now than ever before.

I can't even roll any new characters on live right now because I have no clue what they will end up looking like after 6.0 hits.

My biggest problem right now. On Live? I would never roll this dude, but his WoD face is intense. But how would you know without beta? And it's not like these faces aren't subject to change.

Which raid is the most profitable to solo nowadays?

I think I made about 500g last time I did Black temple solo. Hyjal will net 500+ due to the waves and the trash epics that drop.

Sunwell is a good money maker as well because of all the epic gem drops. Eachone is a quick 5g

Yep, unless they've nerfed them significantly (or buffed the crap out of heirloom gear) dungeon leveling in Cata is not advised.

The quests in the 84-85 Dungeons give a pretty significant amount of EXP.

But it does drop off after that.

After you do the quests in the Cata dungeons, there's not a lot of point running them again at that point unless you really need gear.

Warlocks are my second favorite caster behind mage.

After leveling a Mage then a Warlock, I agree.

Plus, you get lots of fun stuff. Pets, Lock Portals, Teleport Circle, Healthstones, and Summoning!

Gruul was nerfed before the vast majority of guilds were even attempting him, but he wasn't THAT bad. He was basically designed like complete bullshit, and you could cheese it in a lot of ways. The fixed some of the cheese and ALSO nerfed him at the same time (Purification flasks, certain spots you could stand, etc). We still always did him with a very rigid positioning strat but they made him super manageable quickly. Magtheridon was absolutely harder even pre-nerf.

Yeah, Gruul wasn't really THAT bad, but the fight had some stupid stuff.

I never did Mag pre-nerf, but I remember reading up about it back in the day while running Kara/Gruul, and it was pretty damn crazy.

Good news and bad news

Good news: The 'warrior' PVP tier is one of my favorite warrior tiers in a long time. It's not technically warrior exclusive, but it matches the warrior PVE tier, so I'm calling it warrior tier.

Bad news: I'm pretty sure the new Orc Males have a slight case of the Worgens. Their lower jaw is jutting out more prominently, and it absolutely ruins that particular helmet. Basically any helmet with an open bottom is fucked. Even the DK hood kind of has the issue

yeah i did black temple the other day and made about 1k in the run plus auction house. i guess the gem drops are probably the best money makers now that the bosses barely give anything...

plus i guess its not a bad idea to run BT for the glaives even if i am a hunter lol

i tried naxx and it was okay, but i think i made about the same. i think it depends on the Auction House spoils how much you make overall.

If any of you who are still playing have not tried out the Brawler's Guild, GO NOW. I resubbed a few days ago with the intent to screw around in LFR, old content, and collecting items. Today I remembered the Brawler's Guild exists, so I bought an invite on the AH. It is so legit; the most fun I've had in WoW in a loooooooooooooooong time. It's like the fun part about raids (satisfaction of beating a hard boss, laughing at noobs sitting in fire, adrenaline from close calls), but none of the downsides (slow wipe recovery, those noobs dying causing you to wipe). I really hope there is more stuff like it in WoD.

Yeah the AH spoils really make a run super successful as far as making money or just successful. Probably the fastest way to make money that isn't totally boring just limited by the lockouts

Oh yeah, Brawler's Guild was one of my favorite side tasks in MoP. It's probably kinda dead now, and wipe recovery...well when it's crowded the lines get LONG. But, brawler's guild early on when it was A) hard. B) packed as fuck? that was so amazingly fun. Exactly what it was advertised, people sitting around watching each other fight, laughing at mistakes, just enjoying the game. Literally just watched/fought with other people in there for like 12 hours the day it came out. Now it's good money, can blow an alt through it in a few hours and make several thousand gold.

yeah, for sure... i know you can make more gold per hour from resource grinding, but that's not really fun. at least with raids you get random shit, also they added the pets and stuff that i still haven't gotten/bought

Im so close to installing this game again.

I'm close to resubbing again, but doing so right before a new expansion I'm hesitant about buying ($50 price tag why god) seems pretty pointless. "Hey I leveled some characters that I won't be playing anytime soon again since I will wait for a price drop that might take a year+ to happen." Part of me wants to, another part of me thinks it would be a waste.

Got a little over halfway through H: Paragons tonight. If people step up and don't die to stupid shit early we could easily down them tomorrow with something like sub-50 wipes. Which would be pretty crazy.

Pugged 10man normal garrosh for laughs. It was the cleanest kill except one guy dying to who knows what. Solo brewmaster. I healed that shit on MW with a holy pally, and got an offspec windwalker warforged weapon (there was zero people in the raid who could use an agi staff lol), and bonus rolled an essence. Bought a WW legendary cloak for the hell of it, and started playing the spec more. Today was a fun day.

How easy is it to get gold in CM pugs these days? Really, really want to get the paladin CM armor... would be tempted to pay 80-100k for a carry.. if I had that money on alliance lol.

Also so fucking salty that my warrior is only pvp rank 7 from vanilla, I love the look of the epic plate set for both horde and alliance... would've easily grinded one more rank back in the day if I knew....

I don't know if I should make my Warlock Gnome or Human.

Who has the better casting animations on the beta?

Noams! some of my friends who play only Horde rolled noams on beta solely because of animations. Personally never liked playing as noams and probably never will. I must be the only guy who has only played 4 races all his life. Human, Undead, Worgen and Nelf.

Go human female and never look back.

I cant play small characters, I just cant.

I know the feeling.

Interesting. Never really leveled a gnome so I'll do that.

Human females are dope, but I already have one (my 62 mage).

I'd volunteer, if so. I actually found myself semi-thrilled by doing it and wouldn't mind another crack, lol.

i would probably just try to get some LFR SoO gear for a few weeks and try again, or worst case scenario, do it at 100 (i dont care about the feat of strenght)

Yep!

I have Wrath CE onwards, and most of the innards (not the box :( ) for BC. I deeply regret not getting the Vanilla one now, but I wasn't playing back in 2004 (only 2005).

Alas.

Love the Making-Ofs, the Blurays, the art books, the soundtracks, so good.

I got all C.E except Vanilla..i also regret it that i don't have it and i started playing in 2004/5. But i am getting WoD C.E it's part of my tradition with Blizzard games i have them all they give a lot of quality stuff for a nice price.

I really didn't find WoD's CE that attractive. And I'm just glad I own the best CE package of all times, which is ofc Wrath's. You have no idea how many times I made love to that magnificent art book.

For sure, the lines when it was new must have been long, but I'm on a dead server so I sometimes have to wait a bit to queue to let my CDs refresh. When I did rank 1-6 my gear was 483 so I was getting the full experience. A few close calls, and 2 victories stolen from me (killed the mob but died to cauterize/timer, so no win). My friend (pictured previously dying to Hexxos) is around 540 and he can straight up ignore some of the fight mechanics, but it's still really fun for both of us. My favorite boss to watch people die to is Ixx, lol.

I want it all because well after a while they will be there but a meaty price and i don't like that. I love all artbooks. That alone is worth the money for C.E to me.

Its interesting. Some of the basic sets are better than Mythic overall. Mage looks really good. Been awhile since Mage had an awesome looking set.

BC had the backwards design of the hardest non-sunwell bosses being Vashj and Kael, two that you had to kill prior to doing the other half of the expansion. So basically, you kill a bunch of midrange T5 bosses, two hard end bosses, and then steamroll BT and Hyjal. VERY few of those T6 bosses took even my completely midrange average guild more than a couple nights. Really only M'uru and KJ were super hard that expac (and yes, they were very hard, but still).

Even these midrange bosses were harder than T6 content. For the most part BT/MH was a joke, Karathress was harder than nearly every T6 boss :/

Though yeah, Kael was harder than anything up to M'uru. One hell of a boss.

Has anyone seen the Coliseum scenario is beta yet? Seems really cool. Didn't even know it existed till I seen The Rulkster in my garrison.
For those who don't know it's basically a 20 (?) man battleground to fight to the death in a large coliseum. Everyone spawns inside a circular arena and it'll count down from about 5 mins so everyone can get ready. Then all hell breaks loose and the last man alive is the winner. When you die you you can watch from the sides. It's kind of like the place in STV.

Edit: Just watched a 1v1 battle between a Monk and a Shaman and it must have went on for 15 minutes, just those two... The Shaman threw in the towel in the end.

I'm just getting back in to the game from a year off. Is this set the WOD pvp set?

Can we just end the vote right now and call the Orcs the most improved models, like, hands-down?

The old models are seriously offensively bad. Old model humans actually look fantastic compared to these travesties.

The humans and orcs were likely the first character models the WoW team ever did. The whole game is a mish-mash of assets dating as far back as 1999.

CAN'T DECIDE ON AN ALLY WARLOCK RAC AAAAAAAH.

It'll probably be human.
