jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
The Sarkeesian Effect shitbags ask their followers not to harass her, as it would undermine their claims of her lying about being harassed.

Then one of them proceeded to retweet this:

we have manchildren like that in this very thread:
Wouldn't be surprised if she's playing it up to make herself seem like a martyr who has to sacrifice everything in order to expose the evils of sexism.
Honestly feel that way too. Maybe its the wording but... mmm, kinda reads like "See see~! now check out my links." Probably just too jaded about people using stuff like this for their own gain lately
While I have no doubt she probably really did get threatening comments that probably warranted police involvement, this just helps promote herself.

smh

Disgusting. I wonder how long it will be until some bright, young soul posts a poorly patched together png "proving" that this was a "false flag" for coverage or demand irrefutable "evidence" via twitter.

*woman gives opinion on how there are some creepy, misogynistic practices within games*
*defenders of games come to the rescue by threatening her with creepy, misogynistic threats*

Hmm.

Pretty much, I don't even fully agree with her but GOD DAMN people love to look like fucking idiots.

People need to stop giving a fuck about things that don't interest them or they don't agree with if they can't constructively argue about it.

How did she get forced from her home?

Wouldn't be surprised if she's playing it up to make herself seem like a martyr who has to sacrifice everything in order to expose the evils of sexism.

i would say that if someone calls out exactly where you live, and says they plan to rape you "to death" and then violate your corpse is pretty damn close to forcing you out of your home. it's making extremely detailed and dangerous threats then expressing that you have the means to make good on them.

Making threats on the Internet is awful. The lack of responsibility for one's actions which is allowed by anonymity on the network is a shame.

While I don't agree with most of what she says, I find it despicable that people would outright threaten her with violence over a differing opinion. Very disappointing :/

What does TRIGGER WARNING means?

Found this online:
Urban Dictionary said:
A phrase posted at the beginning of various posts, articles, or blogs. Its purpose is to warn weak minded people who are easily offended that they might find what is being posted offensive in some way due to its content, causing them to overreact or otherwise start acting like a dipshit. Popular on reddit SRS or other places.

What does TRIGGER WARNING means?

If you said "Trigger Warning: Rape", for example, it would mean it's a warning to people who have experienced rape that they might not want to read something, because it might be hard to read or a "trigger" for bad memories, etc.

This kind of aggresive behavior towards women that say anything critical about the video game industry through a feminist persective has pretty much become a trope in and of itself.

I really would not be surprised if the last video in this series is an introspective to this sort of experience and similar experiences of other women critical of the video game industry.

She'll then be criticized as an "attention whore" and blamed for provoking these sorts of enraged jerks to say things "they didn't really mean".

That said, there is no reason for said reaction on her opinions. No one should feel threatened or scared, especially over something like this. If she honestly felt it was needed to get authorities involved, good. As long as her and her family are safe, that's all that matters at the end of the day.

Do you want registration requirements for internet use?

Because THIS is how your get registration requirements for internet use

Making threats on the Internet is awful. The lack of responsibility for one's actions which is allowed by anonymity on the network is a shame.

And these people are sitting around arguing how "corruption in gaming media" and "SJW wars" are the issues we should actually be concerned about

Fuck that. None of that shit even compares to the level of evil people spew on the internet without consequence

That is the REAL issue we should ALL be truly concerned with. This invasion of privacy, doxxing, abuse and harassment and even threats to your life and well being.

Why would any sane person think this is acceptable?

Why won't you give her the benefit of the doubt?

What the fuck is this stupid bullshit.

I wouldn't be surprised if threats tend to make people scared and as a result, they protect themselves any way they can. That's way more likely.

Do people that call in these threats ever get proper police action against them?! It seems insane people still seem to feel free to send threats like this to anyone.

I'm sure she's actually safe, but that doesn't really reduce the mental toll hate like this causes.

Hmm.

It reminds me of the satirical 'Moms Against Gamin' Twitter account and the amount of hate they receive. They say gamers are awful scum (even as a joke on 'overly concerned parental groups'), but the awful scum respond exactly the way the account predicts. It's sad.

I used to have a lot of respect for Thunderfoot, but his recent ranting against Anita and feminism in general has been rather sad to watch.

What does TRIGGER WARNING means?

Already been answered, but rape victims might not want to read rape or life threats as it may trigger some reaction from their personal experience. That is why this kind of content should always come with a warning.

I do hope they find the guy who tweeted that and that he gets some time behind bars because of it.

I was about 50/50 on her vids but damn... This is insane.

You don't agree with her vids sooooooo you make violent threats against her and her family?

The fuck happened to just, iono'... Agreeing to disagree?

While I have no doubt she probably really did get threatening comments that probably warranted police involvement, this just helps promote herself.

Because any attention is good attention right?

My dude... I don't think any sane human being would be okay with that kind of "promotion". Having to vacate your home and fear for your life isn't all that great of a trade-off.

Wow. Seriously?

Seriously. Ok. Let's for a second imagine that she is a giggling mess excited to inform everyone of what's going on in her life for nothing more than attention. So fucking what? It still doesn't change the fact that the very problem she has spent her time pointing out, exists to a frightening degree where most deniers would say she has no leg to stand on. It is still emblematic of a problem within the industry.

What does TRIGGER WARNING means?

It was a term to help warn people, who suffer PTSD, about content that might potentially trigger them. However, now it's used by Tumblr people, 99% of whom don't have PTSD, who think they actually get "triggered" by offensive content. It's laughable when anyone uses it seriously when a simple "content warning" serves the exact same purpose without devaluing the meaning behind the word "trigger."

It was all fine until this line:

I'm not giving up. But this harassment of women in tech must stop!"

She was telling her friends and supporters that she was safe. Then that happened.

How did she get forced from her home?

I had a cop ask me the same question once.

You see, two people were banging on my door and telling me they were going to fuck me up pretty bad. I called the police, and the police rolled their eyes because the dudes cooled their jets at the sight of the boys in blue, and played it up like they were friendly guys.

They lectured me on calling the police for stupid reasons. I said, "I couldn't leave the room. I was forced to stay in."

They looked at me smugly and asked, "Were you really FORCED to stay in?"

Given the circumstance, I'd say yes. Yes she was.

And in place of a physical banging on the door, some creepo who knows my address suddenly saying he's going to rape and kill me would qualify as forcing me out.

Wouldn't be surprised if she's playing it up to make herself seem like a martyr who has to sacrifice everything in order to expose the evils of sexism.
I can play this game too.

Based on my own experience, I wouldn't be surprised if you're an asshole cop playing it up to make yourself seem all-important like everyone who calls you is just wasting your time. You've got dinosaurs to kill!

...See how dumb it is when we just make shit up about other people?

Point is, this is ridiculous and no one should have to deal with this crap.

If you really -- honestly -- think she's "playing it up" rather than these comments and threats existing, then you haven't been reading what people in all forms of social media are saying about basically anyone of any nationality, race, or political opinion. It's pretty outrageous.

The man-childs in this very thread, who have never experienced the kind of harassment women can and do get quite often, talking like they know that she's lying about being harassed.

Obviously, such man-children have never really spoken to women in depth beyond catcalls. Because every woman I've talked to has experienced this. Every. Single. Woman. Now, that might be my limited pool of friends and acquaintances, but it has put things into perspective for me, a large male who hasn't really suffered that treatment since puberty.

Ms. Sark may, or may not, be full of it with her one sided videos, but I'd easily and gladly err on the side of caution and respect.

It was worthy in this case. Reading those tweets yesterday made me physically ill for several hours. It had a similar effect on one of my friends.

Remember the guy that was thrown in jail for a few weeks for being a dick on the internet
(Something about shooting up a school and eat toddler hearts)

That should happen more often.

Just pick them up, smack them in a cell for 7 nights and let them out with a clean record afterwards so it won't haunt them for the rest of their lives.

Did you read this (sexual violence trigger warning)? https://twitter.com/femfreq/status/504718160902492160

Do you honestly think she is lying about it or made that Twitter account herself?

What does TRIGGER WARNING means?
My limited understanding is that some people who have experienced say, sexual violence, may have panic attacks/severe reactions if they read someone making graphic sexual threats as in the link above.

I don't understand people who think "There's no problem with racism/sexism/etc. in video games, and to prove it we'll act like ass sucking shit fiends and lash out at anybody with a differing opinion".
