How did she get forced from her home?
I had a cop ask me the same question once.
You see, two people were banging on my door and telling me they were going to fuck me up pretty bad. I called the police, and the police rolled their eyes because the dudes cooled their jets at the sight of the boys in blue, and played it up like they were friendly guys.
They lectured me on calling the police for stupid reasons. I said, "I couldn't leave the room. I was forced to stay in."
They looked at me smugly and asked, "Were you really FORCED to stay in?"
Given the circumstance, I'd say yes. Yes she was.
And in place of a physical banging on the door, some creepo who knows my address suddenly saying he's going to rape and kill me would qualify as forcing me out.
Wouldn't be surprised if she's playing it up to make herself seem like a martyr who has to sacrifice everything in order to expose the evils of sexism.
I can play this game too.
Based on my own experience, I wouldn't be surprised if you're an asshole cop playing it up to make yourself seem all-important like everyone who calls you is just wasting your time. You've got dinosaurs to kill!
...See how dumb it is when we just make shit up about other people?
Point is, this is ridiculous and no one should have to deal with this crap.
If you really -- honestly -- think she's "playing it up" rather than these comments and threats existing, then you haven't been reading what people in all forms of social media are saying about basically anyone of any nationality, race, or political opinion. It's pretty outrageous.
