STEAM | August II 2014 - Kept you waiting, huh?

Good to see them continuing to name their characters after the GiantBomb crew.
How was Baldur's Gate Remastered? I didn't hear great things about it (just as far as remasters go).

I played the EE version on iPad and it was a good port. The added content stayed pretty true to the original game. I got some warm nostalgia feels. I haven't played the 2nd one yet, though.

I think the main issue people had with the PC EE versions was that they weren't a good value when you could get the pair for much cheaper and mod it with any number of the massively extensive mods out there.

COME ON SON I like the DA games but COME ON SON

Everyone else lumps them in with BG because of their title.
So I figured I might as well in the oddest manner possible.
I like them as well but I know neither have anything to do with each other aside from the name.
Don't know why Atari never just called it Forgotten Realms: Dark Alliance

It continues ;-_-

Thank god I have no console warrior friends.

It's Platinum Games after all.

Never actually played anything from Platinum. I do have my eyes on Revengeance though... And everybody does rave about Platinum, and seems confident in them delivering on Korra. But then again, people rave about Call of Duty, so they could still be absolute shit. I'll just have to wait and see.

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
That was my guess.
But they were console exclusives. Back when they released I don't think there could have been that much selling power in the name.

CDP was developing a PC port of Dark Alliance for a time, but Interplay canned it for some reason.

That's the worst news I have ever heard and it's late as hell to boot.
Such a dumb idea. Though the BG name on there at least makes some sense now.

I have exquisite taste for things that are not cookie cutter shootbang or rote platforming =p

Those are my favourite things ;)

I kid i kid, you got me to buy Demonicon after all (which is wonderfully trashy from what I've played so far and I love how the main character is such a dick)

With the Icewind Dale enhanced talk, the Baldur Gate enhanced edition games were good, right?
Been meaning to pick it up at some point, but not sure if I should go with the enhanced or the original version from GoG.

okay GAF is finally loading properly for me - it only loads the thread halfway ><-

Icewind Dale EE? I know of a friend who would be super stoked by those news

Samaritan Paradox "loves" me.
Opened a booster pack.
I now have 5 copies of the same card for sale, and a second foil nobody wants =p

Got one, thanks.
Neat way of making sure people don't steal all the keys with scripts.

Also makes them more tedious to enter each time though. Keep trying them and they're dupes lol.

Edit: Haha, now it's locked me out of activating codes. Well screw that.

You never did give us the details on this movie you're a production assistant on. *poke*

I feel bad for missing this post! Sent you a PM!

I tried playing Tropico but it is just too clunky for me (the original one..) Should I just jump to Tropico 3 + Absolute Power before tackling 4 and all its expansions?

yeah, the first 2 side scrolling action platformers

so sorry about ice climbers :(

Yeah. The best part about Tropico 3>4 is that, at first, it seems like there's little difference between the two. But there are a ton of small changes that make it effectively the perfect sequel: nothing DRASTIC is implemented (until the expansion pack), but everything just plain works better.

Purchased Halo:Spartan Assault on Steam because of the sale, I'm having a problem with it though.

I'm on a 1400x1050 monitor atm and generally play widescreen games in 1280x720, but this game won't let me adjust the windowed mode resolution and I'm stuck between two 4:3 resolutions even though all the cutscenes are in widescreen.

Anyone know how I can fix this?(without suggesting buying a new monitor)

Edit: The settings is a freaking .bin file.

Edit 2: I plugged in the dead monitor and launched the game, the windowed resolution is in widescreen as I wanted it.

I think I'll finally buy State of Decay, it's been on my mind for quiet some time and with money I earned from selling steam cards it'll be almost free! Any last words before I click the button?

Nothing is free. It's credit you can use on something else, or perhaps the same game cheaper later, if you've got a big backlog.

Oh sure, do this while im gone, jerks =(

Kyu is still available so you can pick her. Or if you're interested in Kyanna we can switch.

These reactions though...lol. You people need to calm down. Just ignore these posts and move on.

I miss playing Speedrunners. :( Who wants to play with me later when i get a proper computer desk? Just gauging interest for now.

I skipped 3, jumping from 2 directly to 4, but reading around, apparently 3 and 4 are very similar, so I'd suggest OR you ditch 3 in favour of 4, or you just fast-track 3's campaign and then play 4 as campaign/sandbox.

Also Tropico 4 is currently my most played game on Steam and I've yet to complete the can't-remember-which-expansion campaign, so this should say something... :)

nice I think I'll play Tropico 3 and Absolute Power first to get a taste before I jump into 4 and its 5-6 expansions...

edit 2: is Absolute Power (and the Tropico 4 expansions for that matter) combined in with the main campaign or is it a selectable campaign? or does it just add to the existing thing

I hope 3 is more streamlined than the first one

edit: jasec's chav saoirse avatar is awful... :(

I played a little bit of Guacamelee special super turbo dash edition.

They changed some things about the referential background art and I'm wondering why. Like, the poster with El Linko is now El Hero. First I figured that maybe Nintendo got upset about it or something nuts, but Los Super Hermanos is still there.

Some other changes too, but the El Linko is probably the oddest one I think.

Absolute Power is, I think, playable from within the campaign. Tropico 4's are all separate (the expansion pack Modern Times is its own campaign).

All we know is they are planning a discount for buyers of the regular State of Decay. If he's gonna play it now (I would say to), then it might be better to buy it now on discount, then get the new one at a discount as well.

Screw it, I'm going to play, even if the AA is so broken it hurts to play.

Thanks for your responses guys! I'll do as Marco says, gotta scratch that zombie itch! If it ends up not being my cup of tea - feel free to put a blame on me :)
