I know QA and cert cost money, I do Localization QA myself. But only doing localization for one of two platform, the one with the weakest momentum of the two into 2015, would be stupid. I have a few friends that didn't get P4 when I told them it released on PS3, because it "was a PS2 game released on PS3. I want PS4 games now". It would be a dumb investment to localize the PS3 version and not the PS4 version.

Turn based JRPG with a lot of style, the latest titles (and this one) are set in high school. It also has waifu simulator (aka dating sim) aspects to it. If you've played Bioware titles, think of these as the japanese equivalent. Not in quality, but in the whole "rpg with a lot of interactions with your crew, and romantic possibilities"

It's a JRPG franchise with turn based combat (à la Pokémon), dungeons, social links (building relationships with teammates and various other characters) set in high school (the last two have had 11th graders and while some are thinking this might be a university student, I'm thinking it's high school still).

It has amazing characters, atmosphere, music, UI design, etc.

If you have a Vita, you have to play P4G. I got it because of GAF word of mouth and the fact P4G is among the best reviewed of all time on Metacritic helped (and it has a much better user score than most games above it).

From what we've seen of Persona 5's art style (tonight's trailer), it appears as though the visuals will be on par with Catherine's. (Same artist!) Quality will be excellent, assuming you are into that sort of art style! There is a much greater variety of character types in Persona (as opposed to Catherine), so I think if you like what you saw in Catherine, you'd love Persona's visuals and designs.

I've actually never played Catherine, but I saw a lot of gameplay videos. Sounds interesting. I may try out P4 to see how I like it.

It's weird. I've always been on the fence about anime, but if I know the source material (Street Fighter, for example), I'm totally into it. I liked what I saw of Catherine, I just never got around to playing it. Might try this serious out in the future.

Very likely an intentional thing. Soejima avoided giving the P4 protagonist distinct identifying characteristics because he wanted the character to feel very blank slate-y.

Switch his unnatural grey color with black or blue, and he is your McDude #44. The charateristic of his hair that supposed to make him not look generic is the curly feature. There aren't that many characters with curly hair, but I guess we thought him as generic because he have plain expression and this guy:

Diggin the MC's look. It just makes sense, like I saw him and thought - yep, that's the nature evolution of a the p3 to p4 to p5 look. Glad to see the Shibuya crossing, agree with the TWEWY vibes and the Devil Summoner vibes. Maybe this will herald a slight cross over of DS and P universes.

The best bet is that the PS4 version will run at 1080p, while the PS3 one runs at 720p.

Dude! Play Catherine, if you get a chance. One of my all-time favorite games. I won't hype it up too much, because like with anything else, it simply may not be for you - but I love the game and wholeheartedly recommend it!
