Isnt there any way to upload videos to hard drive, neither upload multile videos directly to OneDrive or youtube, right?

I think thats a big flaw of their video uploading system. They need to add a proper way to transfer your videos outside the Xbox One since their uplaod cloud is quite limited! =/

Edit: However I just remembered that I can download the videos from XboxClips! =D
However this is a "3rd party" solution, they should add something to the system anyway.

They're doing a great job, but why is taking so long to add the screenshot feature? It shouldn't be that hard, also i'd appreciate a button shortcut for "Xbox record that" i've got the Kinect but i can't always yell to my console, especially during the night

Really strange as you can take screenshots for feedback already.

There is a shortcut for record that in the beta, double click the xbox button and press x.

I might be wrong but I remember doing a survey and one of the categories was about upload studio, I think they are giving that a big update and implementing screenshots could be a part of that or finding a way to use screenshots as Gamerpics/themes.

Actually you can Upload your video through upload studio to OneDrive after trim it, you can also upload them to youtube via the youtube app, after have sync your youtube account with your Xbox One, those things should be improved and be easier to do though.

The double tap to snap function is so awesome. Now the ui is finally as usable as the 360 one, even though it just loads way to long for just showing your party, friendlist, etc. Im using this feature everytime i play Destiny to group with my friends. Way better than doing all that stuff by voice commands or going through the fullscreen menus

I would say, they simply cannot do everything at once.

Sure screenshots are important, but so is lots of other stuff :)

For those having issues with MKV's there are a few things that may be happening. First of all there is no support for dts audio on mkv's...this is probably the problem. attached subtitles are also making issues happen. If anyone has a working xml sheet for plex for xbox one i would really appreciate it. thanks.

Just finally got to use the new double tap the home button menu and it is awesome. I can get to my friends party or other apps quickly and even record with a button push or two.

For as rough of a start as this had, it has been an amazing turnaround. I just wish more people had a chance to see how good it has gotten.

All I really want now is to be able to play my own music instead of games (tired of the Forza 5 soundtrack) and an easy screenshot feature.

Is MS ever going to fix the borked surround audio with 7.1 systems? The surround channels are still erroneously mapped to the rear surround channels in a 7.1 system with the apps and HDMI input. Audio from BD playback and games are mapped correctly. But this is an issue that has been going on since launch. It's the reason I can't seriously use my Xbox Ones with the HDMI input and apps. Because it is extremely annoying hearing audio from behind you that should be coming from the sides.

Screen shots need to be instant in the action. Double tapping and bringing up a menu to screen shot defeats the entire purpose.

Also, you can take as many screens as you want from your videos on OneDrive, later.

Yeah, I was aware of ythat Upload Studio solution, but that is too damn slow if you wanna just upload multiple videos without putting them together. =(

I hope that after the new feedback actvity system for each game (that seemt to be awesome) and the screenshot features, that they take a look on that uploading options stuff.

Whats the point of the friends tab if you still actually have to open an app to invite them/ect? It would have been nice to actually scroll the list while in the tab.

Yeah, but the quality of OneDrive videos is usually pretty poor. I want the ability to take a native resolution screenshot that is automatically uploaded to OneDrive.

It *should* be as close to instantaneous as possible, but I don't mind if it takes a second. For instance, screenshots on iOS and Android are pretty close to instantaneous but still take about 1 second for the button presses to register (so that you don't accidentally screenshot something turning your device on or off).

Saying "Xbox Take Screenshot" or without Kinect, double-tap xbox button, press Y... OR, something even easier, hold Xbox button, then tap RB or something. If it takes 2 seconds to register, that's fine for me.

Calm Killer

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
MKV playback crashes the app every 10-15 minutes for me in its current state. Others experiencing the same?

Its every 5 minutes of video play. Watched a 45 minute video. Black screen, back to dashboard. Fast forward to the 10 minutes mark. Repeat fast forward to the 15 minute mark repeat.

If you guys have Plex and are having trouble with certain video files, it would probably make the Xbox guys life 1000x easier if you could include the video meta data XML that Plex generates that has video and audio codec information.

Is there any way to get the preview program? I really need something with DLNA that's hooked up. If anyone could help out with an invite that would be awesome. GT is SwissCheez91

A blog post from a MS dev about the media player. A very good read.

http://blog-ndrouin.azurewebsites.net/mkv-support-xbox-one/

I just discovered his post on reddit in which he confirmed that DTS support is definitely on the way and the MKV crash bug has already been fixed. we should be getting the fix soon.

That reddit is a nice little read. Looks like they have a fix for the 15 minute MKV playback bug some of you guys are having.

o Xbox One Digital TV Tuner – Previously announced in August, this new accessory will be available for purchase in UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain on October 21. This USB-attached TV Tuner will enable users to watch TV on Xbox One, and pause Live TV for up to 30 minutes. There are a limited number of preview participants in this program due to hardware requirements needed for testing.

Uh . . . how about the USA?

blame your local cable monopoly.

I don't use one. I just want an ATSC over-the-air tuner. They can do that. But I guess people like be that watch stuff over-the-air are so rare that we are a market not work pursuing?

Edit: What the fuck, Microsoft? You put this ability in there and I don't get to use it? FFS.

There is a new update out, and it fixes the MKV issue and the snap bug on my end. Anybody see anymore fixes?

I hope it fixes the black screen / disconnections in Xbox Fitness (not sure it's OS related, but since it worked fine until recently...).

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
how do you get into these betas?

I want to know how to get out lol

just kidding, I know how to get out. But what I am trying to say is, I am going to get out of the beta because yes you do get to run the latest update ahead of time, but its damn buggy specially Sept and now Oct one. And once the actual update rolls out, in 2- weeks you are in another beta update. So you never get to experience a bug free OS for a long enough time if you are in a beta.

I think I am going to give up now, I get those weird looking fonts when you double tap and open snap menu. Hate to look at that shit. And achievements never pop up, they do unlock but never pop up. These are like the once I can remember right now, there are lot more issues.

presumably it is a DVB-T tuner for Europe. I'm guessing the US uses a different standard for digital terrestrial broadcasting?

This is mainly a solution for those that have TVs with built in freeview (which was a European requirement for several years now) because analogue OTA broadcasts are being/have been switched off. So if you have a built in tuner you can't pass anything through which isn't good for MS - they want you to have lovely integration with notifications etc over your TV.

I expect either OTA only penetration in the US is too low to worry about, or technically it is more difficult to do. Was PS3 Play TV ever released in the US?

My twitch doesn't work after having broadcast on PS4.

Troubleshooting advice to get it working on X1 again?

The go-to solution for most X1 issues, do a full reboot : hold power button on the console for a few seconds until it shuts down, optionally unplug it from power for a few minutes to be sure, start it again.
It's a long-ish procedure though, there are probably better ways to solve issues but that one works most of the time.
