Man, I hope this scene is in the game - it was one of my fav parts of the older trailers. Also, I much prefer Noctis' old outfit. I don't mind his current stuff, but I don't know... just something about the old one that I like. Also, I prefer the old Stella (but I don't dislike the new one either).

I am surprised they put so much effort into something most won't be able to see.

I hope this cool stuff will be noticeable as we play through the game.Even small things like that during replays are nice to notice.

Hopefully this scene is intact but who knows the game atmosphere seems more cheerful now who knows if the story got changed up ;/ one of my favorite scenes from the old trailers is Noctis in a suit meeting Stella talking over the painting and the other one where he's sleeping inside the car with the chauffeur driving him around.

This scene ,which has amazing animation btw, didn't look like a date at all back when I first saw it.

It just wasn't romantic but more like a friendly, hey long time no see, meeting.

Their body language didn't indicate attraction imo.

Well he could have said date as a joke. Could just be an informal meeting to discuss matters between the nations.

In the Versus days, this scene is the peace treaty party where Stella
Luna
and Noctis first meet. The scene in the new trailer suggests they already know each other. But one other issue is from the E3 2013 trailer, it looks like Noctis and Stella knew each other as kids.

The Japanese didn't say "date". It was just something like "oh! It's [she's?] waiting for you over there, huh?"

Also, the way she referred to him in past trailers still shows a certain level of separation between them (Noctis-sama).

Seems like this scene didn't got scrapped I'm happy on that end maybe we do get to see noctis in his pimp suit :D... But that chauffeur scene with noctis in the city seems long cause the car is practically the same instead in XV it's has no top and in the versus trailers you could see ignis driving a different car. For all we know the script changed a lot.

IIRC, that's actually the first time they meet, and it seemed more coincidental that they ran into each other. She knows who Noctis is, but he asks for her name.

I don't think that's a good reason to believe that scene is gone. Ignis was never the driver of the car in that scene, so I really don't see a relation.

I expressed myself wrong the correlation I did was with the cars but true like you said it has no relation with the chauffeur. But the car did change tho

oh I think its a completely different car

I think the scene with Noctis and his friends just "mocks" this original scene,which was still featured in E3 2013 trailer.

I hope everything will be in but overhauled.

I also hope we get to drive different vehicles(at least a couple) This formal car looks really cool too.

Thanks for bringing it up actually.I really went back to the trailer to see if its actually the same car but roofless.

I think there is still hope that all the cool scenes we liked are still in the full game.They are really iconic.

I wouldn't put Sakurai in the list.

Working on smash doesn't earn you that spot.Its just a decent fighting/party game.


Mikami,Miyazaki,Harada,Ono,Kitase ,Aonuma are people more worthy of top 5 :p

Anywho, who was that person that said "I trust she's well"? Was that Ignis or Gladious because I saw him looking at Noctis like he was talking to him during the car scene? Just trying to pick out everyone's VA.

The voice was definitly Ignis.

We obviously have vehicles, but if the game is "zoned", won't this exclude airships? If the trailer is anything to go by, the World seems massive in scale!
I don't know if you've had this discussion yet but part of the "Holy SHIT!"-experience as a kid playing FF7 was seamlessly flying around in the Highwind at full speed... I never got tired of it.

DAT THEME!

So how will this impact loading times when flying through zones? I know we've seen Noctis jump into one in a trailer, but how's it going play?
We need answers goddamn it!!

EDIT: It was the seamlessness of it all that mostly impressed me as a kid. Imagine your airship picking you up in a World of this scale and you just flying off at full speed wherever you want... With these visuals... I just need this to happen! :(
