Tokyo Ghoul Series Impressions

Well.. that ending. I couldn't believe Kaneki and Hide's fate, as well as Amon's. Damn depressing. I guess their story was just a short part of the entire Tokyo Ghoul world.

Two things I'm not clear on:

- Manager's daughter is possibly the leader of Aogiri / "The One-Eyed King"? But it hasn't really been confirmed, just speculation on the character's part.
- The Black Rabbit plotline was never really tied off. I'm assuming it was Touka's younger brother?

Overall was a good read. I much preferred sections focusing on the Ghouls or Amon's group, not a big fan of the rest of the CCG. The enormous amount of characters introduced in the CCG was hard to keep track of, and I didn't really care for any of them outside Amon, Suzuya and Mado. Didn't help the translation I was reading was kind of... iffy. I think I preferred the first half of the story to the second, although the latter had some great designs and fights. The art style is great (love the painted covers especially) but made it hard to discern what was happening at some points in chaotic scenes.

Hoping for a sequel like most people. Not sure who it would focus on though.

TLR Darkness 47

I'm very late with this one. Lala's expressions were pretty great in this. Also some good Yami scenes (and I don't mean those scenes).

Uncle Yuuichi has done a lot of things. A lot of cowardly, insensitive, irresponsible and harmful things.

But god damn if that man doesn't just shine when he has a heart-to-heart talk with his nephew.

52.5 Akame Ga Kill

RIP

He was my least favorite member of NR for the longest time, but he finally was growing on me... Which meant it was time to die

I'm actually wondering if the author will kill off Tatsumi, perhaps replace him with Wave, not as the MC (that role would go to Akame), but have Wave become the happy optimist who fights against the empires corruption.

RIP Lubbock. Broest of Bros you will be missed.

So why are we hating on Tatsumi again? Is it because he refusing the advances of our esdeath sama?

Now we're left 5 out of the 8 original members of night raid. That.....isn't quite alot as compared to the rest of the imperial forces death count.

Seriously though Night Raid needs more members unless the author is intentionally going for a bad end. Also if/when we get new members, at least one needs to be introduced with a long term plan and not designed to be offed in a year

One punch man 43 or whatever it's crazy numbering equivalent is
Anime when Japan? It can be a 13 episode show that ends at some point in the manga, but please I need the anime of this.

The books' sales aren't that outstanding and considering the possible costs for an adaptation of satisfying quality animation-wise, it's unlikely we'll get an anime any time soon unless you find a way to clone Murata one hundred times, but I hear Pierrot and Deen are willing to do it for a bargain provided you'll accept some... cut corners.

Eden: It's an Endless World!

I like all Hiroki Endo's works. Personally, I will rank it this way. Tanpenshuu > Eden > All Rounder Meguru. But since I'm going to read a 100+ chapters work, I figure something similar in length would be more compatible.

Late to this, but sure, I'll take you up on that. I've heard of it before but never read it.

Akiba Report

1. I don't know what I was expecting, but the maid cafe was pretty underwhelming. It was essentially $30 for a sundae, a soda, a photo, and 10 minutes of conversation over an hour while I messed around on my phone. At least it was a nice break from walking around in the heat.

2. According to figure density, the hot properties right now are SAO, Love Live, im@s, Tales of (seriously?), and FSN (mainly Saber). Older mainstays that are still popular are Nanoha, Madoka, and Evangelion to a lesser degree. I bought a $30 set of im@s gashopons because I wanted to buy at least one embarrassing thing, but the few figures of characters I would've wanted were too expensive and/or lewd (pretty much every Kashiwazaki Sena figure). There was a nice Kuroneko figma of her as Shironeko at one store, but it was $70+ for some reason, like twice the price of all of the figmas around that one. There was nothing of older characters like Horo or Shurelia, or maybe I didn't find the right place for those.

3. The mecha figures/models are always on one of the higher floors, quarantined from the regular shoppers. Although there are always some lewd figures of the pink-haired girl from Macross F mixed in there. Get new material.

4. If you're into the Super Sonico chick, there is literally a lifetime of jerkoff material out there for you if you can afford it. If I didn't know she was supposed to be a headphones mascot, I would've figured she was Japan's national eroge character.

5. The video game sections of stores were bad temptations for me. I had to stop myself from walking out with 5 different games I wouldn't have been able to play, particularly Atelier Shallie. There was also a gigantic LE box of Amagami PSP that I probably wouldn't have been able to pack safely in my luggage anyway. I also was tempted to buy Dragon's Crown just so I could have the JPN VA narrators.

6. There was one store where the second floor was just entirely PG-13/R wallscrolls. I should've taken a pic, since there wasn't an employee up there at the time.

Pretty sure uncensored bluray sales will more than make up for it :V

I would actually love an adaptation of One punch man based on One's version.

Basing it on murata's art will only lead to disappointment and seeing One's artstyle animated is potentially amazing.

Akame ga kill

Lubbock noooooooo. Rip.
I laughed a lot at how fast the minster got over his son´s death.

Kingdom

WHAT?????????? More rivals for the throne.

Fairy tail

Suzuka 15/30
in today reading
-amusement park ticket? Can't be that easy.
-pfft, well there it goes. Oh wait, of course she got it as well.
-Ooo, confession time. Will it fail?
-no, i looks like....
-lol no
-Hurrah, mc got a backbone now. I hope it does not break now.
-Wow, he is in the field and track now. I am sure somewhere down the line, he is going to fail to do something hardcore.
poor sakurai, she is still being ignored by mc.
Oh and i spoiler-ed the summary just in case. Do tell if i don't need to do this

Sounds like you had fun finding all that LIFE. Surprising to hear that the Super Sonico girl is that popular, and I'd have thought Vocaloid and Kancolle would be more popular than stuff like SAO or FSN. Hope you'll share some photos later~

Kancolle and Miku both had presence, but not compared with SAO or FSN. Maybe Kancolle hasn't been trendy long enough to achieve full figure saturation yet.

It's been out for more than a year though? I guess it'll truly get popular when the anime airs? What are the more popular manga-centric properties? Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun?

Dat meat~

I have no clue. I didn't even see one Akame ga Kill figure, and the anime is already airing for that one. I would've figured that that would've been one of the popular manga franchises.
