Quick question: when it comes to my own personal light, how to i either extend it or replenish it? I find myself going into some deep digs and running out of light can be a bit annoying.

There's a chance that an enemy drops fuel after dying. Going back to the surface replenishes your fuel immediately. There will also later be upgrades that allow you to extent the fuel tank.

I posted about it in the indie thread, but I may also post it here as well since some of you may get interested:

I have learned to never trust a kickstarter backed game ever again, even though the games I have backed have not gone bankrupt... yet...

I discovered a hidden strip club in FFIV...can't remember if there was one on SNES version.

Yet another sign that you need to get a waifu :)

Any words on the quality of the Mordor PC port? Seem to remember that pubs only sent out console review copies which doesn't sound good to me.

As always with PC releases it's impossible to tell until it's released and in the hands of customers. No reputable benchmark site has tested it, a fair few professional reviewers lack the technical knowledge to assess and identify problems and there would only be a small subset of hardware combinations tested. It will probaly be about 2 weeks after release for a comprehensive list of issues to surface and next to never are these picked up by reviewers even if some of them experience issues.

Monolith have a history of delivering solid PC only titles but who knows the internal state of the company and their focus at the present moment in time. PC options shown look nice and scalable but personally I'm waiting for customer impressions before making a decision.

Just discovered that Shadow of Mordor will be 1080p + 60 FPS on PS4, so Iæll jsut get the PS4 version and then the PC-version on a dirt cheap sale down the road. Warner bros are usually pretty good at sales.

Wargame of the Year Edition huh? As if GOTY wasn't a meaningless title in its own right. I'm going to host my own awards at the beginning of next year, let's see if there's a Dogg of the Year Edition for my top pick.

Stop being reasonable, and buy it because it got good reviews or something.

While I appreciate some folks just want validation to buy into something and a glowing review is enough and there will be others who are willing to take a chance on the games quality (I do it myself in full knowledge it's on me if it isn't up to snuff) but if you have to ask before anyone with the requisite knowledge of how a game will run is it ok you probably are better of waiting for user impressions. Some are completely unreasonable mind like declaring a serviceable port bad because it wont run on their aging hardware or that an easy to run game is a marvelous port despite doing nothing challenging but on the bug front it's the only way to know widespread issues.

did they just make up the term "WOTY"?

Apparently it's USENET's Wargame of the year.

It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it.

I just found out I actually have Rome 2. I don't know when that happened.

is the PS4 region free as well?

Wow, really? Where do I get it so cheap?

Do we know if the PC version is good btw?

Check the BST thread, there's someone with legit good feedback selling it for that price.

I would probably get on it, too, as it seems like WB is starting to get into the habit of region locking games and I wouldn't doubt that this seller is selling keys from another region.

Incidentally, someone just messaged me about my X360 stuff, but Command will have to wait as that money will go towards pre-orders.

What are you trying to flog? I listed every PS360 game that I had a duplicate copy on Steam as well as legacy sports titles that had long since past there usefulness. Next to no one even looked at them let alone watched or made a bid. In the end I had to make up bundles of 3, 4 or 5 games at a time to shift most of them but I'm still left with lots of copies of PES and FIFA and easy achievement junk. At least our glorious digital future saves on household clutter.

20GB console + 2 controllers (I recently realised that you can use the DS3 with the PC via USB; for some reason I didn't think this worked) and 20 mostly-old games. $180, which I'll then throw into my bank account and give to my trader. ;)

Physical for life. At least on consoles. No way I'm spending $65 on a digital game on psn.

Sigh, why are large HDDs so expensive?
My Steam one seems to be dying (I have a file on it which literally cannot be copied/read past a certain point, also I've been getting terrible read speeds), but I see no sense in 'upgrading' from 1.5 TB to 2 TB.
3 TB ones are, like, $130. That's more than +250 Steam score if you land some good bundles...

Yeah I avoid digital purchases on closed platforms as much as possible, only occasionally jump on dirt cheap deals. On PC there'll always be a way to play the games I've purchased.

Completely on board
on release
.

It looks great. If they can transpose that art style, or, just get whoever did Banner Saga's art, it should be a success. Permadeath for you crew seems like it may fix the minor complaint I had with Banner Saga, which is that the death of your crew or caravan didn't appear to have much weight, in terms of the ending.

My PS3 hasn't even been used as a Bluray player for a couple of months, let alone game on it despite the backlog. I'm probably just going to sell off everything I know I'll never play again or even start. I'm only keeping my 360 around to get tucked into AC Rouge before getting spoiled with all but confirmed PC release. If it doesn't ever make it across I'll eat somebodies hat.

Always cracks me up when I see a thread with 'who's going all digital on x platform?' as the premise. If convience of not getting up off your arse is worth an extra £10-20 a pop as well as no resell valvue then you're a more bonkers person than me. I do wonder how many peeps who want to go the digital route also were against the DRM policy Microsoft were going to use?

eh. I was trying to be a dick about cheap RU prices, but it's too early to be witty.

I misread your initial post as 'free copies' and thought it was a dig at 'asking' for review codes :p

Yeah same here. I have only purchased a few digital games on console, but that was with free psn cards I was gifted. I try to always get a physical copy of my games, and the same goes for music too.

It's never too early to be witty.

I'm pretty sure the people selling Shadows of Mordor for $25 are buying the game from other regions and then selling it with a few dollars on top. It doesn't sound like SoM has any region protection so it SHOULD be fine, but honestly after hearing that Valve can and will remove games from people's libraries if they find out the game is from the wrong region, I'd rather not take the risk.

Vanishing is 3 hours long? On the "deep discount" pile it goes, sorry.
I'm also waiting until people have actually played Mordor for more than a week, since I don't trust any review that high =p

I was all set to come in and rave about how much I'm loving Long Live the Queen after only 45 minutes (and my first death), but now all the sudden really great reviews for Shadow of Mordor have completely taken over my mind.

People on this page and the page before were talking about how a couple people (who have good rep) in the GAF Buy/Sell/Trade thread are selling SoM for $25.

The sellers themselves look 100% legit and by all accounts seem to be trustworthy, but they're selling games from regions other than the US which is why they can set the price that low. Honestly I'd rather wait for a holiday sale or a GMG sale than to take a gamble on a game that isn't from my region.
