Apparently the last dark souls 2 dlc is out now on steam?

Yup. It's fantastic so far. Check out that snow effect on the cloak and boots.

Didn't that game bomb pretty hard?
I just remember the demo didn't do very much to convince me it was a solid game, let alone one I wanted to play -- does it actually become a competent title somewhere further into the game?

I played demo only too, but I was sure that it is form over the substance the game, mostly people like it because of artstyle, which is interesting, there is no denying that, but it's not that anyone was complimenting gameplay, as far as I can remember.

that's the first time I see anything Nintendo being released on PC, but it doesn't seem to be release, I'm not sure what it is.

Debug Win32 build someone forgot to delete from the game disc. :)

so yesterday i got typing of the dead overkill and im liking it , my only problem is that sometimes there are some graphical glitches where some parts of the zombies are invisible , any way to fix it?

Happy Monday!

The environments and art style were cool, but I found the combat excruciating and really repetitive.

I have this on the PS3. The game is absolutely gorgeous but the gameplay is really repetitive. I would love some kind of sequel that had the same visuals but more in depth gameplay mechanics.

See, the art style never clicked with me either, which is probably why I left the demo with 0 good impressions about it and thought it was right to bomb... I just thought I might have missed something due to a bad demo.

Sorta unrelated to Steam, but sorta related:

This video makes me wish that UMvC3 (and MvC2, and MvC:Origins) had all made it to Steam before Capcom lost the Marvel license again.

Furthermore, it reminds me of how badass Hiryu is supposed to be... and brings out my salt regarding Strider 2014.

It's a very simple but visually beautiful game. Combat primarily consists of utilizing your weapons to dispatch enemies and dodge their attacks. There's also a score attack mode after beating the game.

El Shaddai is one of my favorite gaming experiences, combat is certainly slow and somewhat weird but the game is short enough to where its flaws didn't bother me. Game is just unbelievably beautiful and the way they frame the story and the mechanics towards the end of the game is incredible. It's a really original game.

<3 awwwhhhhh yeahhhhhh <3

Don't you dare call tales a garbage bin series. That's completely untrue. If anything Final Fantasy is reliving old glory because every since XII. They been pumping out less than stellar games, delay after delay. Refuses to port games over or HD remake.

TALES GAMES FOR LIFE!
They aren't really reliving old glory, hate the games or not but XIII and particularly Lighting Returns are nothing like other games in the series. There was Theatrhythm, but that's more of a celebration of the series's unparalleled musical history than cashing in on nostalgia. Not sure what the last bit is supposed to mean, they've started porting over tons of games in the series and obviously building towards XV coming out on the PC.

Tales games just aren't my thing. Horrible anime stories(friendship is magic blah blah blah, I'm so tsundre), barren overworlds, low-budget to the point of being gross to look at, and so on. Combat in the games I've played has been fun, but nothing Star Ocean didn't do better. I actually enjoyed Vesperia to some degree but outside of that......eh. In terms of low budget series the Atelier games are much more interesting and manage to hide the budget better.

I'm tempted to do the same, but as I'm not sure about legitimacy of it, I didn't post a link, just moogle Opium Pulses bundle

Yeah, the site design does not seem to be of the caliber site that could snare 3 different, major companies together for a bundle.

Any site selling battlenet keys isn't legit, right?

Is the Steam Card Idlemaster still working for anyone else? I updated a few weeks ago and now it still detects games with drops remaining but that's it. No drops.

So Indiegala increased the minimum price of the bundle once again.

edit - looks like the Opium guys are pulling out all the stops in promoting their bundle

With an overall average Metascore of 73 you can feel safe in knowing you’re getting a decent lineup of games that will keep you entertained for hours and hours.

I just noticed the "Unredeemed Keys" section of Humble Bundle. I'd like to do a big giveaway but some of them, especially the older ones, might be used. Is that generally considered okay?

Yeah uh, that site is blacklisted by some security companies, so...
don't do it.

(The 10 was wrong, it was a check of 10 sites *cough*)

It you'll survive first 20-30 hours, it'll get better after that, getting to better parts that is the true test of perseverance. On the plus side, it's pretty and soundtrack is nice, even first 20 hours.
That's really not true.
For the first 20 hours the game is structured exactly like FFX was, then you get a big area full of optional monster hunts, making the game more like FFXII, than it goes back to linear (FFX) progression for the final dungeon.
If you were okay with FFX's hallways, you should be okay with FFXIII's hallways. Really.
Whatever guys, I'd be fine with it as long as it is considerably different from the other FFs I've tried. Which, if I'm not mistaken, are IV (or II, according to the Wii Virtual Console), VIII (not sure, but it was one of the PS1 titles), III (or one of the remakes on Android, I think it was that one) and a Game Boy entry.

real LOTR talk: That moment when the talking gigantic bird in War in the North karate chops that annoying troll?

Both hilarious and awesome at the same time. Also, leave it to War in the North to be the only thing so far in the cinematic LOTR's universe to actually explain why it is that the giant birds can't take Frodo straight to Mount Doom to toss the ring into the volcano. It's like even the devs were annoyed that the films never tackled this subject so they did it themselves.

I never actually finished El Shaddai. Combat got too repetitive in the end. There was a cool tron like level, and then it just put me back doing the generic combat again in the next stage. That's when I gave up. Shame really, the art style was amazing.

Is there an easy way to find Hamingway the last time?
I tried to exit and enter a Chocobo Forest several times with no luck :S

You need to meet Namingway in every order and time he changes his name. Look up his entry in the FF wikia and see which encounter you missed.

But really: are there any sites that sell legit battlenet keys digitally? Did Blizzard start allowing that or is it still a good indicator of a website being legit?

wait... what? so is it legit or not?
No.
It's still blacklisted by some companies, and some sites mark it as compromised to boot.

They must have had some security problems in the past because i took a look at their steam group and this is the first point about their new website:
1. Brand New Website!

The website has been custom coded from the ground up to bring new features and better security! http://opiumpulses.com
