Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor |OT| One Title to rule them all

The only thing AC about it is the parkour IMO, and everything else is very Batman like.
it controls like batman for sure. But it also has air and ledge assassinations...I had straight flashbacks to ACII jumping off a bridge and stabbing a dude from above. And that's a good thing. There are aspects the AC series has gotten right
He was probably a Tracker. They said on stream that that is one of the potential traits and they will follow you and ambush you. Pretty awesome.
sounds about right, he wasn't letting up. He also convinced a bunch of his friends to track me too. Made him impossible to ignore.

The only way for EU seems to use a VPN and connect the PS4 trough a crossover cable (which I don't have to test this).
DNS Servers and Proxies do not work.

Anyone have the pre-order skin on PS4? I did the Restore Licenses bit (which I had to do for both D3 and Destiny) but it didn't work for this. Is it not available yet?

ERMYGERD!
So I have one Orc (skull on the map) who relentless follows me around. He has a train of like 20 other jerks following him too so I can't get him in a one on one fight. How do I get him to fuck off?

Send Boromir at him.

OT: has anyone played this with In Home Streaming yet? How well does it perform?

True, and in desolation of legolas, he's killing them like they are ants.

Still look at Aragorn in the first movie, he's out of breath and almost passed out after fighting a squad of orcs.

To be fair though, Aragorn was like 80 years old during the events of The Lord of the Rings.

Hmmmmmm, 1 hour in and i'm a little let down. The graphics aren't great, the open world feels completely uninteresting, controls aren't very responsive, ambient sound is pretty bad. But my biggest issue so far is that the combat doesn't have the fantastic "weight" of the arkham games, battering away at an orc isn't very satisfying... this will undoubtedly improve as i unlock more abilities though.

For those who played the game: how is it? I got it at midnight launch but I haven't unwrapped it yet. I'm scared I won't like it.
It's assassin's Creed stealth with uncharted climbing and batman fighting. I haven't been able to get too deep in the nemesis system but that looks promising.

I am not sure what other's impressions are but I have the Xbox One version and damn...what the hell was i worried about.

The game looks beautiful and plays great, i notice no issues in any way, shape, or form. I recommend getting it if XBO was the system you wanted. I think i have learned my lesson not to freak out over this stuff. I don't know what res/frames it is but if you told me it was 720p 30fps and it's this good i'm happy.

Ok, people were interested in direct feed screenshots from Xbox One. Here you go:\

It's locked to 30FPS it seems. Also seems sub-1080p, but I can't tell for sure.

Oh, great. Thanks for the tip. I took my weekly personal day today so I could kick the tires of this thing, and would have been miffed if it had been for nothing.

Feels more of Rocksteady's Batman than Ass Creed.

The only thing AC about it is the parkour IMO, and everything else is very Batman like.

Few quick impressions:

• Game looks great and so much better than these Ultimate Edition titles like Last of Us or Tomb Raider. Built for PS4 shows, and anyone who says TLoU looks better is simply lying and likes the game better.

• Combat feels way more dangerous than Assassin's Creed or Batman. Fighting a mob feels more like Dark Souls at the beginning. I barely escaped dying thinking I'd easily take down a mob. Being able to be hit while doing finishing moves is a great addition and makes combat much more of a thinking game (compared to say Ryse).

• Mordor is ugly, and that's good. It just feels like death, like the Wasteland from Fallout at its worst. There is no sanctuary, no towns (at least so far), and no real allies; only an endless sea of orc's all desperate to kill you (with different levels of commitment to that goal). This feels great.

Have to go to bed. Now some ugly potato-faced orc named something the Mad wants to kill me on top of all my other problems.

Game definitely has that Batman feeling

There are aspects the AC series has gotten rightsounds about right, he wasn't letting up. He also convinced a bunch of his friends to track me too. Made him impossible to ignore.

This game is literally Batman x Assassin's Creed, it's pretty great.

Well fuck. Looks like I am going to go out and get this game.

I don't really understand what a few of you are writing.

I'm in EU and have an EU PSN account, can I buy the game on an US Account and still play it on EU with trophy support etc.?

Or do I have to buy it on EU account and just switch to US and back to EU to play it?

Would really like some clarification, thanks in advance.

You can buy it on US and play it on EU the problem being, that EU gets the unlock in 1d 13h instead of being able to play today.

No worries, if you only buy it now on US PSN you can just download and play on your EU account with trophy support and stuff like that

But that is due to the preloading glitched thing, if you actually download it now you can play on your EU psn account fine
