I gave up using the browser as I kept getting 'out of memory' errors.

Wonder if some of that stability fixed it...

Correct. It's always these high bitrate videos that choke on VLC. Made the switch to MPC as suggested by Danlord and it plays fine now.

Game looks great.

Try closing any neogaf windows you might have open, or any other windows for that matter. I had the same problem, closed all other windows and applications and it worked fine for me.

At the least, it's a looker. Really hope this works out for them and they return to Motorstorm, a more open world racer. Can't have Evolution studios close down if this bombs.... (which I hope it doesn't).

God damn, this game looks leaps and bounds better than when i played it back at SDCC in 2013. can not wait for the plus version before i upgrade.

The sense of speed is portrayed incredibly well. So far the best I've seen in a racer. One of the most important aspects often overlooked or underplayed by lots of other racers out there. Incredibly well done, especially the bumper cam.

Hot shit I'm stoked!

The lighting looks absolutely spectacular but the IQ looks a little bit blurry compared to older stuff we've seen.

Shit quality video/captures or weird AA?

Graphics are insane, good job Evolution!! Now you can make a new MS.

Does anyone get a NFS (original) vibe from DC, P2P races, alpine courses, sea side courses, loving this game the more I see. Was not even remotely interested first, but the hype is real, most beautiful corridors ever!!

Don't get me wrong, but i must say that i was fooled by the downsampled vids. So it's a pitty that the jaggies are much more visible than i hoped. On cars they're always extra distracting imo.
Having said that, the game still looks unmatched in this state. Just don't use that downsampled bullshit anymore devs. It's allready the best looking racer on consoles. So telling lies will only do more harm than good. NOT NEEDED.

Anyway, i have no single regret that i preoreded. The game looks insane. I will crash a lot just because i will be watching stuff.
Now it's up to me to become great at these tracks.

Graphics is definitely a 10/10. That is undisputed. I admit, I enjoy watching those videos more than I am interested in playing the game.

Weird thing is I don't believe that the super-sampled footage was ever released by sony. I think it was just posted by some random site, perhaps from some press b-roll.

I'm excited to see this running on my TV, looks fantastic.

It was press b-roll. It wasn't supposed be leaked or interpreted as gameplay. There was some miscommunication there because they were caught unaware when it got leaked.

I'm not an insider, but 'm not speculating

Problem is that regardless of what happened, it puts Evolution in a tight spot, because they really can't come out and say that the game looks worse than that. Anyway, I'm sure once the game is out, people will forget about that in no time.

Is this game supposed to be locked 30? Because I'm seeing some stutter. Maybe its just because this isn't gameplay of the final version.

Someone was streaming Dclub on Live from Playstation...but I got there late and they were just sitting on a menu and then apparently got the ban hammer.

Downloaded a few videos with Torrent, it looks really impressive, it definetly has that next gen look that should be expected by a racer conceived for the PS4.
Also the driving model seems really balanced between sim and arcade.
So I guess that it all comes down to the simple fun factor, if the social aspects and races are actually fun to play versus our friends and/or the AI.
Right now I get really positive signs, can't wait to try the PS+ edition.

That fucking speed on bonnet cam!!

Lighting makes a huge difference, Scotland looks a bit cartoony at the beginning then once the sun goes down behind the mountains it looks fantastic.

Well Evolution will be gathering feedback on Driveclub and desirable features to be patched into the game through future updates. I'm sure if it gets requested enough, like photo mode and weather, replays will be put in.

Very true. The downsampled vids fooled me too. Anyway...game still looking the part and I can't wait to drive this.

These videos do not do a great job showing this game off. Game has a great feel. Sense of speed. I don't think people should judge the visuals from these videos.

That older vid is also a higher bitrate:
50670 bitrate

Compared to new ones:
33465 bitrate

Also that older one is 29.97 fps, rather than the new captures at 60fps (though this shouldn't and BlimBlim mentioned earlier, matter as much)
