Bad news for you Hotline Miami fans. I talked to Devolver Digital's Andrew Parsons yesterday at Brasil Game Show and he told me that it's unlikely Hotline Miami 2 will be released before the second semester of 2015.

Yes. 2015.

I was there too and can confirm that.

Game looks nice though, but needs more polishing to fix some bugs that makes the game crash. Happened to me twice while testing it.

And for that they need almost a year? Are we sure they meant the Fall semester? :p

Been 15 years since I played Omikron on the Dreamcast. Bowie for $2.50? Methinks so.

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky
We know David Cage's an awful game designer~

I half jest though, because I did draw some enjoyment from Fahrenheit and Beyond: Two Souls. Didn't play Omikron, gotta get it someday.

There are probably other issues that weren't visible I guess. I couldn't play past the second mission due to this crash issue. But yeah, don't expect to play this game on 2014.

edit: also, jimmy sterling needs to chill out. it's just video games. it's not like any of this really matters. it's a god damn hobby. bigger fish to fry etc etc

I get your point, but it is also his job. The general consumer is generally ill-informed. Vocal minority, etc.

I've seen customer videos talking about products I work on and...yeah. It gets hard sometimes :D

Klei announced that the multiplayer Don't Starve expansion will be free for all current owners.

awesome. Really need to jump back into Don't Starve at some point.

Nah. The better approach would have been to make it free DLC but Japanese VA makes the game much more replayable since I don't have to listen to the weird English performances.

I wish more companies would do that. But knowing SE, they would charge for the VA instead of releasing it for free if it was actually DLC and not included in the base download.

We need Chrono Trigger, other FF games can wait.

It wouldn't even be that difficult to do, especially considering that SE could just dump the DS version on Steam and people would readily buy it.

Jeremy Parish does great retro reviews (like his review of River City Ransom when it was released on 3DS VC) and handheld games (like his review of SMT IV). He really doesn't do well with modern console reviews though. I can't even remember reading a PC game review written by him; to be fair, it might exist and I might not know of it because I don't read too many reviews in the first place.

That second paragraph is really reminding me of those frame rate joke posts some of us made yesterday but reversed. Sort of troubling that people actually think like that.

See, this is why people should avoid the Steam community discussion forums.

Well I turn 24 today.

Yep.

Happy birthday! I'd find something related to King of the Hill to post, but mobile Gaf.

Speaking of Final Fantasy...

FF3 is 50% off on Gamersgate, and lots of other Square-Enix stuff too

You know what, I think I'll buy a digital copy of Invisible War at that price. It can't be as bad as I remember it being.

It can't be.

I've been meaning to pick this up to compare it to later Cage games, very tempted.

Still one of the best parody sites.

What does the PC version even include

Sounds more like gameplay tweeks than anything drastic. Though volumetric lighting and fog have apparently got a nice boost and there are now particle effects and destructible items in the environment. Consider it more of a Directors Cut than a Reworking so it's really on how much you like the original game to want to dip in again as there's not too much different apparently.

Though the physical edition comes with a physical artbook, about the same size are a DVD case (same really as the Tomb Raider packaging) and about 24 pages. Not for everyone sure but the price for me was £13 so I felt it was worth it. While it's cheaper to get on Steam I'd only see this for fans or folks who want to grab all the DLC cheap outside of a sale. That and it has a separate achievement list too.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Hmm I feel like spending today, particularly in a non-shitty RPG. Something like a less horrible Skyrim (but I already have Oblivion and Morrowind, and already have Masquerade).

What are the opinions on Divine Divinity Original Sin and Starpoint Gmini 2?

Also huh? Why did the "this game can only be activated in x country" warnings vanish?

He only has a Mac, and as such, can't play most of the PC games.
By his own admission, he's not interested in buying a gaming PC, prefers to play on consoles/handhelds.
(His loss, obviously).
