I've tried mine hooked up on a 42 and 60 inch plasma. The UI looks pretty jaggy on both. I had bad remote play lag on wireless from one room away from my router/ps4. I plugged it up the the ethernet right beside the PS4 and it was still kind of laggy. Non-remote play games look okay but I'm not sure if this will be a worthwhile purchase for me. It's super limited and the drawbacks, such as the more limited library, don't necessarily exceed the positives.
I'm leaning toward returning mine right now.
Thanks for the idea, I am so going to try it when I visit home just to see...remote play is a plus since i'll use it to play fibbage at other people's houses since i dont think lag wont affect that game one bit.
Cool, I really hope there are some games that work despite not being listed. According to some, Suikoden works so I do not doubt there are a few that work despite not being listed.I'm now downloading my hundreds of games to confirm any more title that isn't on the official list.
Did you try disabling direct connect in your ps4?

Edit: I really did not to buy a Fire TV for just Fibbage.

Trying remote play on a Vita, and yeah. The image quality will dip in order to have relatively good response time. The Playstation TV is the opposite.
Also in case you're wondering, the apps in the app section are these:
Crunchyroll

Playstation NOW Open Beta
Qello HD Concerts

I'm updating mine now. I'll try some remote play in a bit (wired connection) and post a quick impression.
Same here.since i really only wanted a vita on TV thing and i have my vita to play those exclusive touch games... which to be honest had some bad touch interface with them(not sure about uncharted or gravity rush
Some of these omissions are really weird too. Like Hot Shots Golf. Why can't you play Hot Shots Golf? You can use that whole game with the controller.
Wow, really?Wow - there are DEFINITELY going to be updates today to allow more games to play on it. Know how I can tell? The Lego Movie game doesn't work! ....the one that comes with the Playstation TV bundle...
Indeed, I have the Capcom PSP games and apparently they work on PS TV. The PSP TV connection was hot garbage, so I am hoping PS TV is better. When I think about it, being able to play PSP games on the big screen is more intriguing than the Vita games because I have the console versions of a lot of my Vita games.
Bundling Lego is kind of terrible. It's obvious SCEA is marketing this toward family and kids than gamers, which I think is stupid.

But there are seemingly barely any quality exclusive Vita titles that work. Persona 4, The Dangnabbitronpaul Series, and eehhhuuh..Same here.
I never really saw PS TV as a replacement for the Vita. I just saw it as a way to play some of the games on a big TV in HD. The streaming and apps are just a bonus to me.

And there are barely any video apps, or music apps, or anything that makes it even mediocre when compared to other $100 media boxes. It's laughable.
I don't know where Sony is going to go from here. If it sells as poorly here as it did in Japan, I'm guessing it'll be buried.
LoL how the bundled game doesn't even work!
Even if it can be patched, it says a lot on how much commitment SCEA is going with this!

It's great for those who don't have a Vita yet want to play games like Persona 4 G and Ys MoC.I'm internally debating whether or not to get this just as a Persona 4: Golden machine. Maybe look into some other Vita/PSP games I overlooked. I owned a PSP several years ago, but missed out on a lot of good games.

Any verdict on PSnow? Is the beta open?

I know I don't need it, BUT I'll probably still get it. Impulse buyer.

No Netflix. It's on Vita, but it's an incompatible app.No Netlfix? Isn't Netflix already on Vita?
Really? I thought I read it did but didn't look great in one of the articles.Ys doesn't work on it.

Yes, this is doable. I remote play across the Internet all the time. This works the same way.Really curious if you could use the remote play "remotely" and not just on the same Wifi as the PS4 (like the Vita). If I could grab this and take it on vacation to have access to my ps4 its a definite purchase.
The Japanese version of Ys: Memories of Celceta works, but the US version hasn't been patched yet (but then, today's PSN drops haven't happened yet, maybe we'll get lucky). The PSP Ys games of course work just fine, though PSP games sure look pixelated on a 40" TVReally? I thought I read it did but didn't look great in one of the articles.
Not sure that they've announced official pricing, but seems like it's going to be around the £80 mark.So how much in the Queens currency?
Throwing this out there.
My router is in a different room from my PS4.
I have a pair of these and they seem to work surprisingly well, though just note distance does seem to affect speed (and maybe age of house, who knows).

But for $40 USD, I'd give them a shot.
