The stuff in OreTwi is just as weird as what happened in Abaranger, like the screenshot above. In some ways, it's pretty similar. The only difference is their target audience. Akibaranger (its more direct comparison) also has things like an monjayaki-loving Alpaca, who is the best monster in the show.

Seriously, Arakawa has done some wonderful work for toku.

Yuki yuna wa yusha de aru - 01

I went in not knowing what to expect .

The first half was nice , the characters were a nice bond , the show made sense and i was expecting something like , "manabi straight"

Yuki%20Yuna%20wa%20Yusha%20de%20Aru%20-%2001_02.jpg

The 4 characters had potential , you would have given me the same thing in a normal slice of life show with yuri , i would have taken it.
And then ..

AND THEN ...

Fear the power of the apps you can download for free.

the show went 180°

i wasn't ready ...

And then the show went in full "yuusha" mode and honnestly i don't mind that .. the show stayed consistent in visuals , the characters shined " brighter " if i might add and the overall result is that i'm looking forward to see where this tale will bring the heroines

Very nice transformations, nice potential for adventure , the dynamic between each character has been shaken but the last scene was very good.
I honnestly think this anime has potential.

Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie 2 - The Sealed Card + Leave it to Kero! The Movie

Thank you to CR for streaming the series, Discotek for rereleasing the first movie, and I hope they release the second one in the future. So, the epilogue movie. Nothing should be a challenge to Sakura at this point, so Nothing is a challenge. At first I wondered "So, what's the difference between this and Erase, exactly?", and I got that soon enough. Erase can only Erase things. Nothing can make merry-go-round horses come to life and much worse.

Tomoyo was on fire this movie, with her "ohohohoho" and her matching outfits, even getting in one more song. I'm really glad they brought Meiling back, too. She was one of my favorite characters, anime-original status or not. Ending everything on the moment of confession is a great capstone, and the final card,
Hope
, nicely ties in with Sakura's "It'll be alright" mantra she had throughout the series. I could see the improved animation from the TV series, too.

And the Kero segment afterward was so wacky and zany, like something out of Looney Tunes. He and Suppie really only had two moments together, but both of them were used to max comedic potential.

I said everything I wanted to about the series yesterday. It's a genuine magical girl classic whose influences are still felt in anime today. Really glad I watched it, and I hope to expand my magical girl knowledge further. There's so much more out there for me to know. So much more to know in the CLAMP universe, too. What a wonderful world.

I still remember the movie. The ending is so adorable

The adaption is coming very nicely. It's great to actually hear the music instead of imagining it just being good.

Check your bank account.

TRSI has their system only update once per day at about 4AM-ish Central time. No updates on the site and no shipping confirmations until only those times. So like, I know my order shipped this moring because I was charged, but I didn't get confirmation or a tracking number yet because of how their site updates.

But your bank info is instantaneous. If you see a charge posted to your account you find out a nice 24 hours early!

Yuki yuna wa yusha de aru - 02

So the show continues where we've left off in the first episode with more rules and exposition on what's going on. it would be cool if they explain how the alternate world damage translate to their "real"world in term of consequences because there might be something intresting to do with it.

I like the fights , they were well done . i also liked how they handled the drama.. and how they solved it.

Yuki%20Yuna%20wa%20Yusha%20de%20Aru%20-%2002_01.jpg

Sniper wolf 2.0 , without the wolves

They are trying to do a delicate balance between the 2 sides of their lives and the normal side , slice if life like is still intresting. Now it's obvious that my yuri detector is working properly

Yuki%20Yuna%20wa%20Yusha%20de%20Aru%20-%2002_02.jpg

no need for translation

Don't tell me it's friendship^, it's not friendship , if sdburton was there he would agree with me.

Very surprised to see that kind of tactics after only the 2nd episode , i guess i can look forward to see more advanced "problems" in the near future in term of ennemy patterns and tactics. This episode set was nice and good

Those transformations are LEWD , nuff said..
I'm not complaining .

I'm glad FelixOrion brought up the time period as this ep wouldn't have dissuaded my initial impression of a more urban guy hitting up rural areas some time in the not too distant past if that makes any sense. Like Felix brought up as well, this time period combined with Ginko's clothing only enhances his otherworldly presence.

Sound design was clever in this one as well.

As amazing as this sounds, but it feels like the writing and animation have gone down in Psycho-Pass S2.

yea

In the first season, the inspectors seemed capable every now and then. Here, everyone just looks like a dumbass.

Did you expect anything else?

Psycho Pass 2 gave us one of the best OPs of the year, which is more than the first Psycho Pass can say.

Your Lie in April 2

Damn that was good. Watari is a surprisingly good friend to Arima. I thought he would be more obnoxious and douchey.

Seems like the girl knows of Arima and his accomplishments, as she seemed to really look forward to his opinion on her performance.

A little tame improv in a classical music setting and the judges already get their panties in a bunch, jeez. Kaori should consider Jazz, it fits her more.

I like the bulk of the show, with its abrasive cinematography and over-the-top shoujoish dialogue. It matches the character dynamics and just fits better with the subject of music, unlike the shitty SD humour. It's inserted at the most awkward timings, too, and it's not even good. I'm more than willing to welcome angst and relationship drama if it means the aesthetic will get more cohesive and unified, because it's the only thing that stops this from being wholly enjoyable.

Like Kousei said, her playing would be more acceptable in a recital situation, but competitions value accuracy, for better or worse.

The humor inserts die down as the manga goes along, so expect that to happen in the anime as well.

Your Lie in October-2

The lie being that this is an animation. All I saw was a bunch of still images taking up 18 minutes of that run time. Huge step down from the first episode.

Also oh god I can taste those tears. I can fucking taste them and god damn do they taste salty.

Envelope

sealed with a kiss
Kimi ni uso has such gloriously over blown dialogue I can't quite take it seriously but it's still pretty enjoyable, also the art is pretty~

Music "competitions" should just go. The people loved it! Who cares about those damn snob judges!

I'm not a fan of music competitions either (one reason I got out of the solo piano business), but unfortunately that's the system that's evolved for identifying and supporting young talent. You can't really make a career as a solo classical musician without entering and placing in competitions.

The Arcane looks so sick and Bellri's interrogation was amazing, it was like a reverse interrogation just to namedrop a bunch of shit we need to know about later on. based Tomino

Space Brothers 97:
And suddenly some real drama. You kind of figured that things wouldn't go completely rosey for Hibito even after all that, but it was still surprising just how that all went down. I was happy to see Mutta's parents return; they're always good for some comic relief. Butler is being a great boss, and trying to do the right thing, and Mutta's training scenes were fun and informative, like Space Brothers always is at its best.

Ojamajo Doremi - 25

Pop becomes a witch apprentice, and one of the first major things she does is summon demons to scare a bully at night, but things get way out of hand.

One thing I like about Pop is how she's not restricted to being the "bratty little sister" type. While she often see her being annoying to Doremi, we also see her genuine kind side just as much, such as in this episode when she was cheering up her homesick friend.

Next episode looks like it's gonna tackle some real serious stuff.
A story about child PTSD after a burglary and the mother being in the hospital?
Yikes, I'm really curious to see how they'll handle that.

This is like everything anime should (shouldn't?) be distilled into one show. It's so incredibly stupid it wraps around back to awesome.

I love how the hero becomes an international celebrity overnight because of the internet cause that's totally what would actually happen in this situation.

Reconguista in G 04

I wonder if she is referring to the pre-U.C. period, or the 00 setting. If the "A.D." of this world had space elevators and Mobile Suits like in 00, then that's a bit of a connection. Interesting.

Looks like Bellri will be switching sides. AND CHAR CLONE SHOWS UP NEXT EP AWWW YEAH

HYPER OATS 2 02

I dunno what it is but something about the exposition and writing in this is rubbing me the wrong way now. I was mostly fine with it in s1 but now most conversations are like -

You mean the x?
Yes, the x. I'm sure you're aware that the x is blah blah blah infodumping

Also why is lethal elimination mode so messy? Is it necessary to make people fucking explode?
And Akane sucks at her job Jesus Christ

Shirobako 02

This shit is real as fuck.
Show has readily blown past my expectations. Good watch, better then the first episode.
