Sunset Overdrive Coming To PC?

Literally no chance of it coming to PC anytime soon. That is bad business for Microsoft, they want to maximize sales on X1.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it releasing on PC this time next year though. Microsoft only gains from a strong PC gaming market.

He's not wrong. Spencer has said they want to own more of the IP they fund/publish. That doesn't mean they won't offer the publish only deal to other developers, but there does seem to have been shift in how they approach the funding of third party IP.

Phil said they wanted to own more IPs they publish but that there are exceptions (one being Sunset Overdrive).

It'll be interesting to see what the next wave of games published by MS but not internally developed are like for ownership

Well, they didn't flat out say they wouldn't doing that anymore. However, it seems like they're moving towards owning the IP for almost all of the games they publish now. D4 was probably the last game they announced that they didn't own.

Insomniac owns the ip. It's completely theirs. That just means MS has the first right to publish any sequels. If MS doesn't want the game then Insomniac can shop for a new publisher.

Can Access afford the development and publishing of it on PC? What about all the Kinect features? Would they be gutted?

QB is more likely, but probably won't happen.

I want to clarify and say that my issues with R&C Redux are actually a separate thing from the way it's being used by those who see a different perspective from mine here. It was wrong for me to get into it and detract from the answer I was trying to make. I sometimes get into a sort of stream of consciousness and the point sometimes gets away from me.

Once someone mentioned it, though, I was kind of trying to respond to that. The "but you're getting R&C" argument shouldn't be something I engage in because it's so silly, and it was that point that I was trying to address. I did so poorly and I apologize.

You can play D4 without Kinect at all, so that's not really an issue at all.

Bad sales of XB1 version might hurt it's chances, but Kinect 2.0 is out on PC I believe, so there wouldn't be any need to strip Kinect features.

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying.

So they could potentially put it out day 1 on PC (but hurt relations with MS) using a different publisher, unless their contract for funding the game says there is a secret timed exclusivity...

Did Sony send Insomniac in as spies?

U wouldn't want the whole xbone library on pc with better performance? Xbox ui? The whole party system and all the snap and app features?

If this actually happens how I hope it does then U will have the option to buy and play battlefield 5 or any pc game on windows 10 (except valve games)... Im sure its in microsofts interest to make this happen by offering more revenue streams to these game developers

I remember them saying Dead Rising 2 wouldn't come out on any other system and that it was Xbox One exclusive forever. Something along those lines.
I guess it's not as specific as saying it won't come out on PC though.

They can't legally. If MS says no to a sequel Insomniac can then go to any pub to look for funding. AFAIK if MS says no to a PC port they can't do one at all.

I could see D4, i mean they brought over Deadly Premonition and i mean Kinect is really good on D4 but not esentiall.
QB I dont see it happening at all but slight chance if Remedy begs like last time.

Why are people saying the gameplay sucks? Has the game had bad reviews? I thought it looked fun. I thought it looked very similar to Infamous and everyone seemed to be all over that game. Not sure why though.

What because telling people to buy the console for a single game they are interested in is the right thing to do? If they wanted the game so much then they will go buy the console anyway without anyone telling them to do so.

Sometimes there are also circumstances that would prevent people from being able to afford more than one console so they might not deem it as worth to buy an xbox one as well as whichever other console they might already own or plan to purchase.

I find any posts which state someone should "just buy the console" as pretty gross and crass.

This is obviously going to get released for PC, MS will soon releasing a new version of Windows and pushing DX12.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Forza 5 showed up on PC, even if no one expects it, it was being used to demo DX12 so they have it running on PC they might as well make some more money out of it.

Can't wait for the day that MS embraces PC gaming with universal releases. I would love to buy just once and play anywhere.

For now though I'm excited to finally play this game in a couple of days. :)

Because, I believe, they probably haven't seen enough. I was a bit iffy about the gameplay until I saw the gamerdye footage.
