Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare |OT| House of CODs

This stereotype seems to have come from the early Halo 3 days more than 7 years ago. 90 percent of time game lobbies are completely silent these days.

Yup. I think most people have switched to party chat. I know that's what my friends and I did for the majority of last gen. The only exception for me would be playing in Open Lobbies for Street Fighter. Met a lot of cool people playing that game.

Maybe I'm really lucky but I've rarely ever encountered the whole "racist 12 year old" stereotype in CoD. I'm sure it exists but I can't help but feel like its frequency is really exaggerated. Usually when I hear younger kids they're mostly just yelling out whatever is happening in their game (not that it's not annoying). Mostly though people are pretty cool and are just casually conversing with each other.

No, you're right. I've also rarely encountered those stereotypes. Most people I converse with are older and more level-headed. The stuff that pisses me off are people just playing music way too fucking loud. But none of that matters because you can mute players.

If by communicating you mean getting called racial slurs all day by 12 year olds then cool. I'd rather not talk to randoms to be honest.

"Randoms" are people who enjoy the same game you do and sometimes communication is key to winning. Unless of course you just want to be a lone wolf just maximizing your K/D spread. I want to win.

Hey, for those suffering from the CE34878-0 error.

Delete your blocked players! Was posted on fb and someone told me

That is fucking weird as hell. 2.0 really messing things up huh?

Sounds like zombies might be a full mode in DLC, and just a teaser in the game for right now.. Not sure.

I refuse to be teased with one round and asked to buy the full fledged version as DLC, that's some real bullshit right there.

Oh, I get it, I'm just saying that it seems like more people party up on the ps4 and roll like that instead of random chat. Every 5 minutes I get a notification that so and so friend has joined a party lol; that shit was almost nonexistent on the ps3. I'm an older dude, so random chatting with people on COD is not typically an enjoyable experience for me lol.

So am I but I enjoy talking with different people. I don't like talking with the same people for hours on end. But like I said above, I don't ever seem to run into assholes very much and if I do I just mute them and make fun of them with everybody else.

I've never understood why people love to say this. I rarely encounter that type of stuff on either console.

I had 360 last gen and every call of duty game i ever played on it was a bunch of young children talking about people mothers or calling people fags. It wasn't during every game obviously, but it was quite frequent. Very rarely was is it normal conversations or people trying to communicate as a team. Talking during Cod means nothing to me because of immature kids. I end up just muting the whole lobby. Never bothered me per se, it just is what it is.

I've just been playing with bots but man, I really like these changes with movement. It certainly doesn't make this game feel like a COD game. Though for balancing, they could maybe up the cooldown for dashing because that's what you're going to be doing. A lot of it.

Ima black gamer an trust me I get called the N-word often. Only in cod tho.

Sucks for you. My experience has been the complete opposite.

So I'm a bit confused with this game and Day Zero. If I have the physical version preordered, can I pick it up at 9 PST, or do I need to wait until 11 PST? I feel like I'm reading a lot of conflicting stuff. I wouldn't mind getting to play a few hours earlier so I need to know if I should cancel my store order and switch to a digital one.

Wait there might be zombies...? Why would they not advertise that at all? Seems strange, but I'm hoping its true.

If not, at least we know it'll most likely be there next year with Treyarch.

Confirmed that zombies are a bonus round in survival. I don't think they have a full mode for zombies though.

Why would you want that to be true? You must really want to spend that extra $50.

I dont want to wait another year to play zombies.

If paying extra is the only way then im afraid im gonna pay it.

Or maybe they could release a yearly standalone, instead of having to wait 3 years for Treyarchs attempt,

Last time I played TLOU remaster multiplayer I got a message with "stupid n$$% f#$$ n##$b", granted I had a terrible game but that behavoir is not an xbox exclusive, I have meet some nasty people on steam as well.

Uh... just because you're paying for the season pass now doesn't mean it'll be there right away. In fact, DLC usually always releases a few months after the game, at least. It's always been like that.

The big factor is people actually communicate and socialize on Xbox. I was PS exclusive last gen and saw a dramatic shift in my experience when I went multi console this gen.
Stop generalizing. If you don't see people communicating its probably because they don't need to. COD is all about the 1-man-army anyway. Or maybe they're in a party chart and don't want to talk to strangers.

I understand that, I wouldnt be buying the season pass until a week before the first batch of dlc is released.

This thread is moving fast. Quick question. Is it worth buying for single player? And is it worth getting early access if I will mostly play SP?

Campaign lasts 5 hours, but does sport a new engine. MP graphics are downgraded from SP, but thus far impressions have been positive.

Worth buying for single player? Usually no. I went like 3 COD's without even trying the single player. If that's all you want it for, rent it.

"Campaign isn't totally rubbish."

Sad that this has to be a bullet point at this point. Interesting to see such high praise of the maps though. The have been crap for a while now.

Yup some people were complaining about the number of maps. I will always take Quality over Quantity.
