Majora's Mask 3DS announced!

If they make it so I can save anywhere, then best Zelda of all time.
I think a single save state that is not reloadable is fine. So you can exit the game anywhere. Under no circumstances should this save state be reloadable though! It is unacceptable.
At first glance the upgrade seems less noticeable, but hey, it may be my nostalgia googles ?
Plenty of reworked environment textures going off the trailer. Big difference in lighting too. I think they may have hit the right feel though (except for Links design, hope they ditch the animations from OOT3D, didn't like the way link moved in that game at all).

They could have ended the Direct after this announcement and I'd have been happy. Dat CE...it will be mine.

Never played this on the N64, so I'm damn hyped to be able to play it on the 3DS. Can't wait. Hopefully they don't do something evil and make it New 3DS only like Xenogears.

I don't think so, I remember someone who worked on ALBW saying that they wanted to do touch screen drags in OoT but couldn't because of 30fps. The touch screen might have been running at a different res though.

OoT was locked at 30fps with or without 3D. I'm not even in doubt. My eyes have built-in framerate detection.

no trace of new content sadly.
sorry nintendo, but i don't spend money for something i have already played and completed...three times

What? No. That would completely ruin the design of the game.

Really happy this is coming to 3DS but I'm not really sure how well a higher IQ will work for it. One of those games that was made to be blurry.

You can already save at the owl statues so saving anywhere is uneeded.

Plus this is now on a handheld with sleep mode.

Never could finish it when I was a kid because the Happy Mask Salesman scared the crap out of me.
Hope I can finally play it next year.

Was considering emulating this for a replay - first time I played it since I was a kid. But I will just wait for this now I think. OoT 3D was amazing and I'm hoping MM3D follows suit.

Nintendo's worst kept secret finally confirmed.

I'm glad I didn't even make it to the first dungeon in my playthrough on the VC version. I'll play this instead.

I'm very excited about this -- didn't ever play it on N64 since I'd moved onto Dreamcast and didn't buy the RAM expansion pack. I did get the Gamecube version for pre-ordering whatever game it came with (Wind Waker maybe?) but never actually played it. I'll definitely give it a go.

This is the hardest Zelda game to get into for me. I haven't even beaten the first dungeon yet and I started my save file the night the game launched in North America.

I'll still bite though. Zelda games are fantastic on the go.

I played Majora's Mask for the first time earlier this year on a buggy NGC Zelda CE disc (well completing it for the first time at least, never got further than the second dungeon in 2001), I'd probably should have waited for this inevitable remake, haha. Despite that, great sequel to my all-time favourite game.

Any how, most likely day 1, if not just for the Special Edition!

Man, 3DS really is the definitive Nintendo handheld. Smash Bros, Ocarina, Star Fox 64, Majora's Mask, Kid Icarus Uprising, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Mario 3D Land all in one machine. Jesus, I don't think Nintendo will ever top 3DS first party output.

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
Wasn't OOT 60 with 3D off?
I think I remember reading that. Did it drop with the 3D on? I thought it was stable either way.

Surprised they didn't make it a new 3DS exclusive.
Hopefully it has enhancements. I'd rather use the new shoulder buttons for secondary items instead of the touch screen.

I can FINALLY play through this game to completion (all sidequests and etc -- never beat the game when I was a kid). I've been holding off for this and I'm so glad my waiting/patience paid off (as in resisting to play the original in recent years).

Day 1!

It's not pretty, but hey, it runs on a 3DS and probably in a high enough frame rate. I'm happy if that is the case.

I've been holding off on a replay due to the possibility of this coming out.

About fucking time they announced it.
I didn't think OoT lived up to its reputation so I'm looking forward to trying this out, since I hear it's a bit divisive.
