This is the problem with internet discussions. I did not play AW yet, saw those screens and thought - Oh, cool AW shots.

Only because of your comments I know it is a spoiler from the end of the game.

Same here btw. Out of context all they mean to me is just "random CoD scenes."

So, you're blaming us instead of the one who posted the image? If so, that's kinda backwards. Problems don't disappear by themselves, when you don't talk about them. I haven't played AW, but the pic with Spacey was spoilery even without any context;
you know he ends up in a situation like that before playing the game yourself.
That's exacly why I wish people would stop posting cutscene shots, and endgame locations like that of Alien. Imagine, if someone had posted a pic of Bioshock Infinite's
Rapture
for all to see without any proper warnings.

Can anyone recommend a UK GAF member a ps4 capture device? My son wants one, but has suggested an "El Gato" I think it's called for £180.

But I thought I'd ask for recommendations first before paying out so much for something I knownnothing about.

Can I use it for pc too or just ps4, how will they attached to the ps4, how big are the files?

Go Avermedia to be safe. Don't go with the old El Gato, go with the new one HD60.

Man I hated that level, definitely on Legendary, lol.

Halo 2 looks ace, wow.

I'm really impressed with the COD:AW shots in this thread, i find it tough to get great shots because of the motion blur the games uses. Nearly all the great set pieces i've tried to capture all come out a bit blurry.

Assassin's Creed Unity PS4 arrived in the mail on Sunday. Canada Post is stepping up their service for the holiday season.
It appears that minus is having troubles with showing pictures. Sometimes their image links go offline for a while.

This... looks almost like ps3 game. Even the texture resolution, what is going on with that game? They should probably ditch the Anvil engine for something else, this feels like stretching an old engine as far as it gets just for the sake of reusing old code from previous games. It feels dated.

The thing that bugs me endlessly is that the PC version doesn't even look much better, yet everyone just seems to say its the consoles that have held it back.

Don't get me wrong, The pc version does have better stuff like tessellation, but what I'm saying is that the actual game doesn't hold up to what I've been seeing up till now, just like watch dogs. Even after they hacked the game to be the 'E3 version', there was still a massive difference in polygon count and prop density.

Bullshots annoy me. Its probably why I love this thread so much. No lies.

This does not feel like a possible current gen shot. Maybe towards the end of this gen, but this is miles ahead of anything we have seen yet. Not just the IQ of course, but the textures/meshes/lighting are so tight, this doesn't seem real for the near years.

Exactly! I'm so tired of these promo bullshots. If the game is good I'll love it, theres no need to show off a shot like that and make me feel like an idiot in the process.

Erm... i don't, because it's been years since Ubisoft have been showing off shameless bullshots.
I remember looking at some AC revelation shots with super IQ and even motion blur, knowing full well that wasn't gonna be how the game looked on my screen.

It is a shitty practice, no doubt about that, but i'm past surprise at this point.

Barring Ubisoft going on a murderous spree...

Not that I imagine the game will suddenly look brilliant, but those shots have pretty noticeable compression there. You can just look at the UI and see that most likely isn't how the game actually looks.

Damn, the IQ in this game is unreal for a console game.

What's the framerate like?
Ranges from mostly stable with the occasional judder to frequent judder and occasional tearing depending what's going on.

And there's plenty of specular and sub-pixel aliasing over longer distances. I think there's some temporal AA stuff causing artefacting in motion too.

30fps?
