Exactly.
But this is NeoGAF after all, Land of the hyperboles and home of the salty

It is just like NeoGAF to fake videos and doctor hundreds of photos. What was really insidious is how NeoGAF infiltrated all of the major review sites to spread their lies among the populace.

Oh, that rascally NeoGAF.

That's a pretty disastrous thing to see. I wouldn't want to have such moments even if they would have included cheat codes to play in such posture, in their game options.
I don't remember the first Assassin's Creed game to have such large amount of tehnical issues, mostly is like I'm looking through this gameplay with no-clip cheat activated, although it feels like I'm the actual beta-tester for Ubisoft products.

I wonder how much pressure was put on the sholders of Ubi employees, to skip or cancel over couple of buildings while they were working on, unfinished, to proceed to the their next buildings, just to keep up with the schedule of their release date. That's harsh for those employees. I wouldn't want to be in them right now, to see how their work was made in vain.

Eh, I think the glitch stuff is very real especially on PC. As far as console, I agree we don't have all the face melting and eye popping. But IMO the frame rate performance is a much bigger issue.

Plus, while I don't think the game is falling apart visually on console, there is a lot of issues. As I said numerous times, the NPCs look hideous, and often don't know what they are doing (so having all those NPCs doesn't really add to the world, and I actually think it makes it worse). There is something bizarre about having wooden/ugly crowds of people. I think in the overall context of what this game is, GAF's criticisms have been spot on. This game is not polished at all, and is a pretty sub-par experience. Certainly not worth $60.

This game was rushed out the door half-baked. I hope that they can at least own up to their mistakes and make a good faith effort to patch it.

I cannot believe I took so long to look at this thread. I am crying from laughing so hard and I am at work, people are going to think I am crazy.

It will be hilarious if the solution is to reduce the NPCs on screen by a significant (10% or more) number.

Yes. I expect them to reduce the NPC count and then release a condescending press statement about it. Something about players not appreciating their vision for the game, choosing some meaningless, arbitrary numbers over the living, breathing world they had created.

In the end it doesn't matter, because I want a game that I can play 10 years down the line without having to worry if the patches are still available to fix the base game...Unless they want to ship the fixed version in the future, which I don't see happening...

No one will be playing this game in 2024.

When a game is developed by multiple studios, it naturally enhances content creation at the cost of performance.

This is because each studio gains prestige by producing content. Improving framerate does not improve the standing of the individual studios.

Teams have the same problem when individuals compete. To solve this problem you need strong leadership that can lead the individual studios to perform as a team. Easier said than done!

I might take a page from MS and do a 180 here. Is it weird that I'm getting more interested in the game because of the glitches? Cause I would really love to witness that kind of shit while playing, some of them are really something else. Especially the go kart race, and the deformed faces. I would never pay 50euros for that but 10-15? Just for shits and giggles, buy it and not apply any patches to it to witness it in all its untarnished glory.

I'm not even trying to be sarcastic, this has been some of the funniest shit I've ever seen in a game. The fact that this wasn't meant to happen (unlike games like goat simulator) makes it even funnier

Thank christ they are working on a fix. I've just got to Paris and I'm finding it unbearable to play. It's rarely ever 30 and it's actually giving me a headache.

The chances of Ubisoft being able to "fix" the framerate seem doubtful, to say the least. That sort of patch is almost never provided, at least on console games.

I've been playing it for about six hours and the worst I've seen is a guy in the background stuck to a doorway. Hopefully it gets WAY glitchier later.
