Anyway, yea the game looks completely gorgeous.

The game does have film grain in certain areas. Very obvious in night time.I'm happy that they didn't need resort to cheap effects like CA and film grain.
Yea. I just threw these up just for people to get a general view of how this game looks.
How high do you have your 980s OC'd? I have pretty much the same rig as you (slightly higher CPU OC and faster RAM tho) and I have everything maxed out including textures. I just lock the framerate to 30 and there's no stuttering at all for me. Do you have it on an SSD?
Anyway, yea the game looks completely gorgeous.
Is there a timeframe on the tesselation patch?
Can't really blame them for that, Microsoft and Sony aimed for budget hardware this time around.
You can, just hold down R3 to make HUD disappear.I wish there was a button that let you turn the hud off/on instantly because I want to run around without the hud but you need it during the assassinations. Or maybe just an option to slim the hud, make it more thinner so you could see the basic stuff like health, ammo, without it taking up the screen.
Because visuals on stills aren't everything... the game deserves what it got from reviews.Holy mother of god! Look at all those details. And dat lighting!
The Ubi team must have spend so much time to design that.
I'm sad they get that much critic, sure bad performance is awful but there are more important things than that. Everyone just bashes Ubi and the game because of the performance but nobody acknlowledges this incredible amount of details.
What is GI ?
Is there a big difference between the highest graphical settings on PC and PS4/XONE?
I have the feeling ACU was actually downgraded from what we've seen on E3, is this correct? Still a very good looking game though.
What is GI ?
Yea it has rain but it's almost always during night time.Does the game have any weather? Rain, storms, etc.? I would love to see pictures of that if possible OP. I'm always a sucker for rain/storms.

On PC, yea. Not everyone (or hardly anyone) has a PC that can make it look like this.Well many people can't understand what is so special about graphic in this game because they don't know what are the techniques Ubisoft used to achieve this.
They dont know what is Global Illumination, HBAO+, Caustics etc. They don't know how demanding those things are and yet ACU is game that is using them all in real time.
From graphical standpoint ACU is truly amazing achievement.
I'm happy that they didn't need resort to cheap effects like CA and film grain.

What we know absolutely for sure is that console versions don't have several high-end effects only present on PC :Is there a big difference between the highest graphical settings on PC and PS4/XONE?
Yes there's a big difference.
The game can't really be maxed out yet though. There's tesselation coming in a future patch that was left out. Not sure why it was left out.

PCSS
HBAO+
Tessellation
On top of that it remains to be seen what setting they use for environment and textures.
They both run at 900p/20-30fps with awful AA.
Woah, that's extremely disappointing. I was secretly hoping these ''next-gen'' machines were capable of more. :\Yes there's a big difference.

It's funny.
We all complain all the time (deservedly) about Ubi downgrading their games.
And the one time they do not downgrade anything, it runs like utter shit.

Hair simulation and facial animation is turned down during gameplay. And yes, Elise's hair looks phenomenal.Yes, during the gameplay. It looks..fake. Don't know if it is the color, the lighting or the strands of hair, but it looks weird. The redhead girl hair looks nice, that's why I said "on most people", though.
360/PS3 had high end hardware back in the day, the situation right now is very different but as with everything those graphics come at a cost on PC.Woah, that's extremely disappointing. I was secretly hoping these ''next-gen'' machines were capable of more. :\
Videos can though.

The game looks bad on consoles.
The Order isn't out yet. And I haven't seen any footage yet to make me agree with what you are saying. And yes, a game being linear and non-open world is a big factor in what you can get away with.
Hair simulation and facial animation is turned down during gameplay. And yes, Elise's hair looks phenomenal.
Can't think of any other game with hair that looks that good.
This is how game looks like on my PC that is not high end anymore (i7 2600K + GTX760 2GB)
So you don't need monster PC to see beauty of this game.
Is this supposed to be the damage control to reports of the game running badly? Admittedly, I wish the game ran better so I could buy it because some of the screens look great.
it's always a matter of opinions, of course, for me unity it's a disaster from technical stand point, and not because it's doesn't look good, but because want to do too much, sacrificing detail, perfomance, and too many things are done in a ugly way.
For me the order is untouched and miles away from unity, it's a really next gen game graphically speaking, sure it's not yet, but 20 february it's close...

Yeah, I meant to ask this question. The GI is baked, what's the merit on that? Games been doing that since a long time ago.
