I think it's a testament to the Souls series that the worst game of the bunch is still a masterpiece.

Never played Dark Souls II, so this is great news. However, won't going from Bloodborne (March) to this (April) be a weird transition?

Great news for those picking it up for the XB1 though!

Obviously this is #3 of the 5 Kadokawa games and the one they said was by From.

Surprised they went with a port and teased it as something... more, I would've thought of something new like maybe Armored Core 6 or something.

So what's the list so far?

Rodea Wii U and 3DS
Think it was an Otome (sp?) game for Vita
Dark Souls 2 PS4/XBO

Edit: Wait, does this count? It says it's with Bandai Namco. But From is now owned by Kadokawa.

Dark Souls 2's new game content, augmented item descriptions and gameplay improvements, which From Software is calling version 1.1.0 of the title, are also coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and the DirectX 9 version of the Windows PC game. Players of those versions will get the 1.1.0 update free of charge. The Scholar of the First Sin re-release will also be available for PS3 and Xbox 360

Found this info to be important. Those who have the first version will get the new update free of charge (sans the DLC, of course).

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING HOOOOOOOO!!!
Loved the shit out of DS2 on my ps3, plat'd it within a week and a bit.

Will happily double dip and do it alllll over again!

Still, DeS, DSI and DSII in a single package would have been insane. Hopefully we'll get a DeS remaster somewhere down the line.

Hmmm... will probably double dip if the price is fair. Haven't had time to play through the DLC content yet (except for a part of Sunken King) but I know it's great.

Also, "Scholar of the First Sin" is a totally kickass name.

I really enjoyed DS1, but haven't bought or played 2 yet, so maybe this will be my reason to pick it up. Though, 2015 is already frighteningly packed, so I probably won't... Maybe, we'll see.

I never got the DLC for this because of the bullshit no season pass deal on 360. Since I'll be getting a PS4 anyway for Bloodborne, I'll definitely just go ahead and double dip and get this version on PS4 as well so I can play the DLC as well as the new content.

I'm cool with this. Wonder if they'll keep the same lighting engine or not.

The main game was pretty good but the DLC was some of the best Souls content straight up. Fantastic to get it all as one pack.

Already got 1000 points on the 360 version. Hope the improvements are actually pretty big otherwise not sure if I'll sink time into this again.

Not sure if I want to play through it again after getting the platinum on PS3, although I haven't played any of the DLC. Hmmm. I would be all over this if it was a DS1 port though.

Anyone think the combat will get an overhaul? Eg, make dodging viable vs blocking. Or is everyone pretty much settled with the differences and considers it balanced, just in a different way.

I have the PS3 version, but I think having updated graphics in the PS4 version as well as the additional DLC that I haven't bought yet will make it worth the purchase. I'll gladly play through the game again with a different build. I own the first DLC but I haven't been able to really play it yet.

Hold up this is coming to the PS360 as well?

What's the point of that exactly?

Didn't the old lighting system causes issues to the point that it was scrapped on those two systems?

PS4 and XBO i can understand since there is no DSII on them at all and the original visual look can be achieved there but for the PS360 that already have the game with the DLC as well seems pointless.

based on the DLC, if they tweak the main game around with the mindset from those it's gonna go from 'pretty cool experiment' to 'tight as fuck'

'cuz dude, the DLC was amazing

the trailer shows 2 spots i don't recognize/that look real suspcious.

guardian dragon in what looks like heide's tower of flame and some weird giant/tree on fire

Maybe a long shot, any chance of getting 60fps on consoles. I bought on os3 and decided to wait and see if we will get a PS4 version.

Will we get the graphics from the old version?

that's what I'm waiting to see. It's why I ended up not getting DSII, because they waited to the last minute to show what they were really delivering to gamers

hopefully this time we get Dark Souls II the way it was always intended :D

Very exciting announcement potentially for someone like me who thinks DS/DemonSouls is two of the greatest games of all time but had to skip DSII for some reason

What worries me is the wording of DX11/9 builds. It specifically says the DX9 build will get the gameplay additions free of charge, makes it sound like getting the new hot DX11 one is a separate purchase.

Could also just mean they'll have two executables, if the new version demands too much of your PC.

It also sounds to me that a lot of item descriptions have been retranslated, which is nice. Maybe it'll finally get an ending that makes sense :lol. Super excited for this
