it's not, you can't share UPlay games

Was under the impression you can FC4 and Unity. Using ES for example, the box that says the sharing is restricted doesn't appear for Unity and FC4's game pages while it does for Black Flag and FC3.

It's probably a bug on Ubi's part, because you can share them but the person who has access to the shared library can't play (the games ask for the cd key)

Did you intentionally no-sell my joke?

I won't sell it like rock getting a stunner, but I had a sensible chuckle.

AFAIK, any game that requires a third party application (GFWL, Uplay) doesn't work with Family Sharing. I could be wrong, but i believe that's how it works.

So how does family sharing work with Far Cry 4 and Unity?

Serious talk! Valve prepared for Ubi's (and EA's) oversight. I'll edit in a visual example shortly. It's 5:30am and I'm struggling to use the internet. Australia.

So my mind is officially blown after watching the 30 minute interview with Hello Games' Sean Murray on No Man's Sky. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/featu...te-behind-the-scenes-tour-of-no-mans-sky.aspx

The entire video Sean was saying that any input to the generation function would always yield the same output, but the literal explanation of that didn't dawn on me until he used a Sine Function to explain himself. That is why they do not have to store any information about their procedurally generated universe, when two different people observe the same planet, it will always be the same thing, but it also hasn't been generated until they actually visit.

This formula that generates planets also generates creatures, enemies, ships, and other NPCs around the galaxy. They design and animate a base model, then generate an infinite amount of creatures from that model.

This game is the real deal.

Yeah it was pretty good. Important to point out that it is still going to be one Universe that everyone shares, which I assume means basically everyone is on the same servers with same formulas and stuff - so randomisation of those still allows for ridiculous variation but the possibility to find what others have found

Well the video shows that they have at the most basic level. The more interesting question, is whether those formualas/algorithms etc that stipulate the games preocedural generation allow for strong enough variability of all variables and as such how dynamic those worlds galaxies and overall universe can be

Following an unsuccessful game of Remote Desktop Basketball, I'll just say that Family Sharing supports third-party games by default and that the onus is on the library owner to make sure their affairs are in order (i.e. keys are used).
