It's an unfinished game, so yes, it's unreasonable to be complaining.
the analysis and judgment of the merits and faults of a literary or artistic work.
Compare it to Kameo where the rocks were not only not low quality, but had some absolutely kickass parallax mapping. And that was done on weaker hardware than the Wii-U.
horse strafing is the new boar drifting?Id like to point out that at 3:11 the horse does a sidestep

Nobody seems to notice it! And it happens in the end of the video too! And nintendo will release the game without fix it and we will be trapped in a sidestepping horse hell forever!
apparently until the very day the game is out, it's inappropriate to criticize any aspect of it.
Of course it's reasonable. If the developers didn't want people criticizing the videos, they would not release it. They hope the video gets people to buy the game, which is just another type of premature evaluation. Positive criticism is perfectly reasonable right along negative criticism, in the true sense of the term:
Ignore people who are saying it's not reasonable, and air your complaints to your hearts content. Everyone knows the game is not finished yet and still has a while to go in development, and all intelligent individuals know implicit in any complaints is the acknowledgement that it might all be fixed before release.
But its fine when we are talking about offscreen low quality footage? the same thing with Uncharted, some people are judging based only on Youtube videos.
"Complain"? Yeah, that's probably unreasonable.
Point it out and hope Nintendo improves the texture work? Sure, I think that's fine.

Theydont look that bad to me.
Also 1GB of RAM isnt much for everything, Wii U is not a magical machine that will fix everything with ultra HD textures.
No, i think they're talking about the latest trailer.People think this looks bad?
If it looks as is when released, no it is not unreasonable to complain.
As of today? Yes it is totally unreasonable, the game is a year away from release. People have been screaming for early footage, get it, then complain it looks unfinished. The mind boggles.
Why? Rockstar is very good at small details that make the world more immersive.dunno If i should laugh or cry about the last 2 days zelda discussion here. Hell, it even led to gta 4 comparison. Pointless
Well I honestly didn't like some of the textures myself. If the textures don't get improved by it's release I'll be disappointed, but I'm quite certain it will get a good bump in graphics the next time we see it. It's still got a year left in development.
One thing to remember though is yes the Wii U's got double the RAM of the ps360 but 1GB in such a large world isn't much. As I've said before I wish Nintendo would unlock another 512MB of the Wii U's 2GB of RAM for games like this and Xenoblade X. I think it would make quite the difference for Wii U game detail across the board.
Nope, not zelda fans! more like grumpy catsZ E L D A F A N S

You keep saying trailer. It wasn't a trailer. Why? Rockstar is very good at small details that make the world more immersive.
So is Nintendo by the way. But i think some people are missing some of that in the new trailer.
Yeah okay... It's late here and i'm tired ;p.You keep saying trailer. It wasn't a trailer.
it was like a behind closed doors demo.
This is not what we're complaining about. I can't find a screenshot of it right now, but there is one where there's a rock-slide to the left of where Link is riding that has the most stretched out texture I've seen purposefully placed there since Twilight Princess, but this is 2014, not 2006. And there were multiple places in that demo where the texture work was just way way behind even in places that seem to be the landmarks of the new Hyrule.
I just got done complaining about the crappy wall texture in this Witcher 3 scene. All games need work.
Yes it is very unreasonable to complain about an unfinished game still in development looking like an unfinished game still in development.
It may be 2014, but the hardware you're referring to is from 2008 soooooo...
You've obviously never seen a closed doors demo. You keep saying trailer. It wasn't a trailer.

It wasn't a trailer. It was more like a tiny first look from a game one year far from release. I dunno why nintendo decided to show it like that. But it was cool and a nice move from nintendo. Cause "zelda fans" screamed for footage. Now they have some, but complaining about textures, empty world etc. Reactions like this are killing all the funWhy? Rockstar is very good at small details that make the world more immersive.

it doesnt need that, it would go beyond the Wii U very well defined limitations.
i also thought it would had been cool if Wii U unlocked more memory, but whats the point if the difference is not that noticeable?
hmm, could be...That would be 10 months at max if it's coming out before 2016. The last 2 or 3 months of most games are spent in certification where the graphics are set in stone. Skyward Sword's graphics were locked in as soon as it was showed at E3 2011. I had a hacked demo that leaked on my hacked Wii of the E3 demo 2 or 3 months before the release and the only thing that had changed from that to the final release was the motion-controls calibrating properly. Graphics were identical.
That means in a sense Nintendo has approx. 5 or 6 months to turn these graphics into something that is impressive.
Other Nintendo games don't have bad textures. As ugly as Skyrim looked on PS3 it didn't have textures that were this badly done. (I still wish I could find that screenshot so I can compare)
