Media Molecule Game will be revealed this year !

Maybe tease wasnt the correct word, but it was in the Thread about the GOW Event and the gif is also still around. Can't link to it right now, im not using the pc. Sorry ;(

I don't see it. That sounds too similar to The Tomorrow Children.

??? I must have missed this one - got a link?

Does that Seth dude who worked at Capcom previously still work for SSM? I always assumed they hired him with a long term look to making PSASBR a series.
Is this it?

For 2016 sure. Just expect another E3 with most reveals for the next year, just like they did with this year's edition.

It's a game where you can create ANYTHING you want in incredible detail! And then look at it and stuff with the worst physics engine ever. It will be the most polarizing new IP ever!

I think Media Molecule next game is related to Project Morpheus.
That's my bet as well.

Media Molecule said it must “remain at the forefront of technological advances, and must bring new and often risky innovations to market in products of the highest quality”.
To achieve this, the studio directors said Media Molecule was making significant investments in “leading edge physics and dynamics, rapid world creation from laser data, innovative routes to market via web based interfaces, 3D stereo-optics for advanced simulation, and use of ‘hi-def’ data capture and processing techniques”.

They also confirmed a long time ago that they have PM dev kits.

Dear god yes

Also why is the word "game" in quotes in that tweet

Makes me think it'll probably be much more of a platform for creation than just a game. More so than LBP even.

I would be alright with that, but I hope they still create a memorable mascot to represent the game with. Sackboy and Atoi were really great.

After LBP and Tearaway I'm in.

Hope it actually is creative orientated again and uses some of the stuff from their tech showing.

This, plus an affordable 3D printer = killer app.
There are websites where you can send them a 3D mesh and they mail you back the physical object 3D printed in a wide variety of materials. But the object must be small and lowpoly or it gets too expensive.

Would be cool if Sony partners with some of these guys.

The most overrated developer announces a game and suddenly everybody start losing their mind!

In all seriousness, their game is obviously a project Morpheus game. I don't like their games and I don't like VR. Its all hype but it never delivers. I played with Oculus Rift twice and I dont see the big deal.

Ugh..

I hope it's not a VR game, it will sell like shit so, what's the point.

I feel the same way but you can't ship a product without support from first party studios. Media Molecule and Sony London are both probably working on major games for it.

LOL probably. But still looking very forward to it. :)

It's 100% UGC game. It has already been confirmed.

Their game is most likely supporting a VR, but it is not a VR only game. I don't see the big deal here even if you don't liek the VR.

I really don't see Sony greenlighting a Move game considering how hard it flopped.

They talked in an article that they are willing to take the risk with Move. But are looking at other options not being Move only limited with reagards to sculpting, whereas playing the game will be naturally controled by DS (and probably Move if you wish to create such an experience, just like in LBP).

My guess :

- the 'game' itself don't need Move ( they said that you can create worlds with a click of a button )
- basic creation won't need Move either (blocks, pre-set templates, etc)
- advanced creation needs Move for the clay sculpting/molding

As for Morpheus, I don't think it's a VR game. This 'game' was in development since 2011. Sure, Sony's prototyped VR/Morpheus since then, but I highly doubt MM was developing a 3+ year game project based on a hardware no one's really sure will even come out by 2015/2016/2017.

If it's something related to: "Move", "Morpheus", "Create your own game", "share"... I'm out

I hope it will be more like Tearaway and less like LBP (or that hideous tech demo)

It's already confirmed that their unrevealed project is based off that tech demo teaser they showed at Playstation 4 Reveal, so...

Also, part of the keyword they used when talking about their next project was... "create/make dreams, bringing dreams come to life, sharing their dreams."

It's definitely UGC-based.

Reveal not release? Disappointed already.

With the one exception of PSAll Stars, there's been no large-scale/major new IP from Sony that was announced/revealed within the same calendar year.

When it skipped any announcements in 2014, it effectively reduced the chance of it being a 2015 release to being very unlikely.

One of the most creative studios in the world. I loved LBP and Tearaway. Cant wait for their next project. One of the few studios that can actually put a smile on my face.

I don't understand the negativity from some people here. MM were always the type of company that innovates and pushes the boundaries, and now when they are trying something completely new with the Move all they do is complain. With such an attitude there would be no innovation in the world. You surely can’t expect MM to create perfected experiences based on some kind of genre standard gameplay. :/ I mean there are lots of other companies to do that exactly.

I believe.

That tech demo is the main reason I bought my PS4 with the camera at launch.

I am so hyped - Just one more year and I'll be able to recreate my dreams? I'm pre-ordering the pre-order.

I thought Tearaway was done by a tiny team and is not the big project they've been working on.

Kinda late with the reply, but it only started that way. The dev team grew with time. Not the whole studio but still a decent number of people worked on it.

You will play with DS, and only create with Move. :p

Yes, that's what I think too. People will create assets for games and then you will be able to use those assets yourself when building levels. I also think one of the reasons we haven't seen more of this game is because MM are trying to find a way of using the Dualshock for creating those assets in case you don't like the MOVE.

I'm interested in what they have next. I didn't like LBP but loved playing through Tearaway.

When it skipped any announcements in 2014, it effectively reduced the chance of it being a 2015 release to being very unlikely.

Tearaway Unfolded is also releasing this year. Two MM games in one year would be pretty crazy stuff.

Nah, IMO we haven't seen it because Sony likely doesn't want to have too many games which was "announced and release 2 years later"

It's obvious that Mark really really wants yo talk about it, but can't.

LBP has never interested me in the least and Tearaway blew me away. However, that sculpture/record dreams demo has me excited. I really hope it ends up being like 3D LBP but with features LBP could only dream of (and then possibly recreate in this 'game'). Didn't care for that musical bit at the end, though.
