This is my most anticipated game of next year, and I'm on the May train. People might be tired of Troy Baker, but Ocelot Baker is one of the think I'm most excited to see! Let's hope he has a pretty sizable role.

This will be the first Metal Gear game I'll have played since the Playstation 1 version. I am ready to jump back in. Love me the open world and the sheer amount of craziness this game will have! :D

if kojima says next week, that it will be available digitally the same evening, how many of you would be strong enough to wait for the physical release?

I get paid next week. I'd pay for it immediately.

Then I'd buy whatevet limited edition physical edition is available as well as a standard version.

...why would anyone want to do that? This isn't abstinence or something.

finally, an mgsv release date thread with some proper basis behind it.

hoping for day and date launch on all platforms, including PC.

Game is finished, but Kojima will hire an American company to do a a real life nebulous and nonsensical intro effectively pushing the game to an early 2016 release.

If it gets announced at GDC will it be enough time for marketing to do it's job ?

We have known about this game for such an incredibly long time, I don't think we need much if any marketing.

Just announce the release date and the necessary people will know when to get it. It will sell by word of mouth to everyone else simply by the game existing.

A special edition MGS PS4 system would be nice since I haven't bought one yet. I was envious of the Gunmetal grey special PS3.

Going by their latest lazy editions, it would end up being the standard white or black with a themed HDD cover.

Nothing like some of the awesome PS3 special editions.

I second this. They seem have been going for the viral marketing angle since day one. I don't think they need to spend a dime on advertising at this point. If they were to announce that the game will be released tomorrow, I think they would have the same amount of sales as if they had dropped several million on advertising. Furthermore, I haven't seem a tv ad for any Metal Gear games since the 90s for MGS1.
