Resident Evil has more unresolved sexual tension than any series in HISTORY *NSFW*

Oh c'mon:
- in both CODE: Veronica and Darkside Chronicles there's a scene where Steve is staring at Claire's butt
- he is constantly trying to impress her, to be her "knight in the shiny armor"
- in CV, when they are flying to Antarctica and Claire's asleep, he's trying to steal a kiss
- and when he catches her after she jumps down from the plane, it's like the best thing to happen to him: http://youtu.be/hcE9P3o89Vo?t=45s

That's not sexual tension, that's just some dude creepin' on a girl.

Couldn't disagree more with this.

Chris to me is the main reason I play Resident Evil, I love that he was an actually skilled and trained person and I love his overall personality.

Granted I do think and hope he is gay, I'd be REALLY disappointed if they have him and Jill actually get together.

Though I might even be happier with an Asexual Chris, but Gay Chris is almost as good if only for the fact he would be the first AAA character of his status and following to be gay.
I thought that was established in his bio for the RE6 demo?

Uh, what?

Yeah I don't remember this.
Seems to me they have kept it pretty middle line. Since him and Jill haven't been in any position other than friends, compared to say Ada and Leon. Closest I remember is revelations where Parker says something about him being already taken or something. Think that scene implies Jill but not necessarily.

Chris and Jill are strictly PARTNERS.

Chris and Piers however....

I think there was a (fake) demo preview that said Chris and Jill got married between the events of 5 and 6.

that was probably what I saw then, >.>

I just remember a pic with Chris' bio around the time the RE6 demo came out saying pretty much that.

The most fucked up thing imho is Wesker having a kid. An actually legacy while all these heroes are just getting older and easing steak in some made up country.

I don't get the "Leon + Ashley" thing with RE fans

Isn't he like 20 years older than her? Didn't he have like a father/protector role throughout RE4? Isn't that a bit creepy then?

The internet continues to surprise me: http://residentevilpairings.deviantart.com/

7 years. And he only turns her down because he's hung up on Ada (Who is actually five years older than Leon).

Great thread, totally true and It's completely intentional by Capcom behind the scenes to keep it platonic between Chris and Jill. While shooting the RE5 cinematics, no hint of romance was allowed. Their bond stems from camaraderie and partnership.

And in RE6 poor Leon was intentionally portrayed as the slick hyper-cool aloof guy that becomes a puppy-dog with a crush whenever Ada shows up... Forever fated to being led around on a leash.

What does this mean exactly?

Fandom's talking about pairings and sexual tension in a Franchise isn't remotely limited to RE.
If you say so. I guess I've never been involved enough to stumble upon lengthy discussions involving awkwardly forced sexual pairings in video games. I always thought that creepy fan fiction was more satirical than serious.

I wasn't actually serious in saying that there's something wrong with anyone. It's just that I don't quite understand it.

You don't need to backdown. People spending hours of their lives talking about rather fictional characters bang or not is pretty fucked.

Resident Evil, the one game next to a flesh eating outbreak experience may result in you literally banging the face off a person.

With or without a gun.

Depending on the fanfic.

"Stay away, girls give cooties"

I like they make Chris generally uninterested in girls whereas Leon is girl-magnet extraordinaire...until Ada shows up. Then he turns into an absolutely whipped puppy.

Chris seems fine with Jill.
Chris was also more worried about leaving Jill in 5 than saving the world from Wesker.

I don't think would be interested in Jessica either.

Chris and Jill are hyper BFFs. Like if Chris was closeted, Jill would be the only person who'd know.

What would Chris think of Jill's RE3 outfit?

You've clearly put a lot of thought into this, which is a little weird. It never crossed my mind, but if you think about it, this is probably the case for tons of games. I mean, in my mind Mario wants to bang Peach, but hasn't.
