Composers: 目黒将司, 小塚良太, 土屋憲一, 喜多條敦志

Track list:

Thankfully they finally release a full trailer. I need to some actual gameplay otherwise it's hard to get excited about this. Although Meguro does consistently good stuff with the Persona series if the gameplay is rubbish I might just as well just listen to the OST.

I've been really looking forward to this. I just hope it turns out well, as I started to worry after Dingo got dropped from the project.

I find the overall presentation and the actual music (incl. the opening theme) really conflicting. The game is presented as a throwback to '70s disco music (e.g. the disco ball) but then the opening theme is just a plain J-pop song, and how the tracklist seems to have been arranged has nothing to do with disco music.

Regarding the theme: It's not pure disco persay, but the theme incorporates elements of disco music. The bass line with the syncopation and quick octave alternations, the hi-hat open/close pattern is of the disco style, Latin and African percussion instruments and patterns (such as the agogo bells heard), rhythmic guitar is playing of the appropriate timbre and syncopated patterns, and the repeated vocals over specific phrasing patterns are all of the traditional disco style as far as a musicologist would classify it.

However, it's mixed with the tempo of pop music, not to mention the lack of live instruments, and more traditional song-structure with regards to lyrics and sectionality.

It's basically like a compromised version of both elements of jpop and disco into one song.

No P3 or P2 in the track list. Was hoping for a few memorable tracks from other Persona games but I guess that's DLC.

ducky, my thread was about the LE console
why you lock it if you don't even have a photo of it in the op

given the reported quality of dingoo's last few games, segatlus taking on development is most likely a positive

NO DEEP BREATH DEEP BREATH?! THAT BETTER BE DLC.....in fact, make a Persona 3 DLC pack.

Speaking of DLC, do we know what the DLC is contained with the Crazy Value Pack? Just costumes? More songs?

I will buy both this and P5 at a high price. Sega pls sort out the EU distribution so I don't have to import.

That console design is pretty snazzy looking... even if the front of it is basically just untouched and not even the same colour as the rear, what?

Hmm... giving something like that with a game releasing at the end of June makes me think P5 is still quite a ways from release :(

Am I perhaps being too alarmist in thinking we're not likely to see P5 (In the west at the very least) until next year?

How is there no True Story out of the box, man?

It's like... no, we don't want idol music in our idol music game.

...It's probably DLC...

...I'll probably end up paying for it...

Akira Yamaoka covering Persona music is one of those things I never knew I wanted until now.
Holy crap, I didn't even notice he was doing a remix of Time to Make History. Sure hope that turns out well, considering he's had a rather decent track record with making songs for Konami's music games.

Not a rhythm/music game fan at all, but I get everything Persona, so I'm in. At least it'll give me a chance to listen to a bunch of my favorites again.

I know its P4, but hoping they might eventually get some P3 tracks in as well.

I was hyped, then I saw Akira Yamaoka. HOLY SHIT. I need this.

Kinda want that special Vita, too.

Ha ha, I like the announcer guy's voice. It's too bad they didn't really show how the rhythm gameplay works so I could tell if this will actually be any good or not. I guess it's likely it'll use the touchpad though.

For a game coming out in 4 months, it is rather curious that they're going out of their way to avoid showing any actual gameplay...

Pre ordering once it comes available stateside, hopefully the LE doesn't cost an arm or a leg. Then if the LE Vita comes over I'm finally trading in my OG Vita.

No way the Vita will come out here, but you could just import.

Aw crap. I just realized. If we get a LE or first-print edition here in the US, Atlus will make the OST like 7 tracks or something.

Also, I rather liked his solo album, whic was J-Pop as well.

From what I noticed, it seems that there's 6 different notes to hit (Up, Left, Down, Triangle, Circle, & X) and it seems notes appear from the middle of the screen & move to the side, where you then gotta hit them when they hover over the circles indicating which button/direction to press.
