You must have seen all of that on youtube right?
The fact that he thinks TLoU has bad gameplay says it all.

If your opinion is that the The Last of Us was "rather bad," then I think I can, for me personally, disregard your opinion.
Thanks for the impressions though, how long did it take you to finish?
What is The Order 1886 most similar to, Uncharted, TLOU, etc?
I've been following other Order threads, but I still haven't seen a definitive answer.
I don't think he's played it himself lol. He said from what he has seen, presumably watching videos online.
I mean... is this post is anything to go on... yeah... he hasn't played it and won't, like De_Legend pointed out.
Yes, a ban for fighting with people about how watching The Order on Youtube would be the same as playing it.Didn't he just get back from a ban?

Damn. He's pretty stubborn. Not sure why he would ever touch an Order thread again after that.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't played Gears of War 1, but sounds like a good mix. Still undecided whether or not I should get it on Friday.

Because the punishment he got was a mere two day ban, so it's worth the risk apparently.
That sure did get all the fanboys upset, worth it.
Haha, oh man. Gameplay impressions from watching Youtube videos are my favourite.
I also see we've once again reached the point where TLoU had "bad gameplay."
By his own words the ban was worth it
I'm actually getting this form both Youtube playthroughs and what my friend said abotu the game. Which isn't much. Just about the shadows and the scriptited and very limited destruciton. He thought the weapons were going to be abel to demolish stuff, based on the previews.

I guess by now everyone knows if interactive movie game "x" is somehting they want to pay $60 for or not.
Well, maybe not everyone. My friend got it early too.... and let's see... yep, he's right now playing Darkest Dungeon on Steam. Figures.
just wow :\

Didn't he just get back from a ban?
You really do like to play with fire dont you.
Uhm no. All I said was that given what reviewerts had been saying and early videos, that I'd skip the game and probably watch it on youtube.
I was banned because I ticked off the people in the thread for saying that,a nd some moderator too I guess.
What am I doing wrong now?

So obviously some of the stuff a lot of people were thinking with this game are graphics and destruction: the early demos showed off some building explosions with the thermite.
So far, from what I've seen, the graphics are pretty damn good. The materials based shaders look pretty amazing. Shadows are so so. Most are baked, but the dynamic ones are solid, rather than softer the farther away from the oclusion, like from a last gen game, some are aliased, and some kind of appear and disappear feet away from the camera. The mesh quality - the hair for once! All really nice. The character faces look outstanding as well.
Destruciton is super scripted. With half a building coming down in one scripted spot, and then firing the same weapon at a nearby windows does nothing.
Even the incredibly basic puzzle elements aren't really puzzle elements at all. They just want you to move up to some "thing" and hold down a button. Then "puzzle" solves itself. Like someone thought of a way to engage the player, and then someone else completely gutted it, 'cause fuck no, we don't want the player engaged.
Really, the "Gameplay" in this game is laughable. And I thought the Last of Us was rather bad, well it's a friggin Bioware RPG + a telltale game in comparison to this. The only actual gameplay are the short shooting sequences, but they are like something out of a COD campaign 5 years ago. Shooting galleries, with scripted events. You cna almost see how things trigger the moment the character steps over some invisible line.
I think the length is fine. How much more insta fail QTE's could a person take?

Wow, talk about stalkerish. Do you save all my posts?

Kinthalis you clearly have no desire to play this game whatsoever, so why do you continue to try and stir the pot.
Move the fuck on.

Maybe there should be a bit more of a clarification. This thread isn't just for people who have played the game. But it is not a thread for people who haven't played the game to talk about assumptions which might confuse the matter. If people are interested in certain aspects of the game, they are free to engage those who have played it. If people want to draw conclusions based on the impressions, they're fine to do so, be it positive or negative. But like anywhere else, we discourage trolling, low effort replies, metacommentary, and dishonest engagement.
This thread is for impressions from people who have actually played the game, not watched it on YouTube.

I honestly don't understand how one could hate an unreleased video game of all things, that they've never even played, that much, that straight after a ban they'd come back to criticising it in the same context they literally just got banned for. It's baffling.
Eesh thats nuts. How long did it take you to beat?
It's beyond childish

Look at all these posts you saved of people saying they're buying The Witcher 3 for the PS4 just because they have the nerve to say they're buying The Witcher 3 for the PS4.
It's 41 pages long. A lot of early copies, I guess?
I think it's more like gears 1... only worse.
Beyond childish for me to critize the game base don gameplay and the comments of an owner, or for people who haven't even touched the game to defend it to death?
