Every single major wall (non-corner) is covered in artwork (see below image). I don't have many walls, it's all windows. The windows are meant to provide the "pop", as well as the accents (throw pillows, statues, speakers / electronics)

Where's that DVD shelf from?

Thanks! I just got it from Walmart.
It's a Danby, and the manual says the model number is DWC172BLPDB. Hope that helps!

Thank ya kindly Bobb. What are your impressions of it? Is it noisy? Does it get cold enough? It looks like you have to lay all the drinks flat.

Tbh I don't really notice the noise with my computer running. Drinks are nice and cold.
I lay them flat because I like them lying on the groves.

lol I find it makes the entire room a lot brighter this way.

I was being serious, though. Sorry if I sounded sarcastic :p Putting the lamp upside-down is great, but I would have never even imagined it could be done if you hadn't posted your picture!

Nice setup feels like mission control! how many video cards did you use to get 3 monitors?

I have a HD7990, which I think is two 7950's in one card (though I could be wrong), It has 4 Mini DP and a DVI. I just use HDMI to Mini DP adaptors.

What's a good foot rest I can put under my desk? I usually put my foot on my sub woofer but feel like I'm messing it up by moving it so much.

Tabris who makes your DVD cabinet?

Billy Bookcase from Ikea. There's a bunch of different options, went with white glass doors and black bookcase. And DVD? What is this, 2005?

Where do you guys purchase your video game/movie posters and artwork? Etsy?

Be careful when doing video game / movie posters. Ideally you want to do something either vague (like me, only a couple of my friends know where that artwork is from) or something artistic that won't come off as too immature. A key part of that is it has to be framed. A non-framed poster is associated with children or people still living in their parent's basement.

Good advice. I don't think there's an issue if you have an actual man cave where guests are less likely to venture in to, but game/movie cover posters on the wall (frame or no frame) looks incredibly juvenile - particularly in a living area.

Depends on the quality of the artwork. If you're just throwing up $3.99 Spiderman and Hunger Games posters in a living room then that's one thing, I've got a living room dedicated to watching movies though and the art I've purchased reflects my tastes and isn't so...normal. Most of the stuff I have hung up are limited art prints and people who visit for the first time think it's amazing. This is our living room though and not our family room (which is more traditionally decorated and just has a TV and sofa, family pics, artwork, etc), so we are lucky to have the best of both.

That's why I said 'cover' posters. Yours look pretty great.

Just moved in to our new place a few weeks ago, but it's coming along nicely. Nothing special or high-end, but still works for us. Xbox One and WiiU under the TV. Xbox 360 and PC in the office.

I have a fairly decent set up compared to the people I know in RL, but then I see these threads and my set up looks like dog shit. Feel like there is no point in posting mine. Some of you have some nice places, though!

what do you ride?

Actually, I don't have anything right now. Been looking for a while though. I grew up in the 80s back when freestyle/bmx was so huge but was never fortunate enough to own one of the good bikes (GT, Haro, Redline etc). I browse bmxmuseum.com every day but most of the old school bikes are insanely expensive nowadays and the new stuff doesn't appeal to me very much.

Are there any stores in the US that sell Herman Miller Embody's or is the website the only way to get one?

Tons of places carry Herman Miller; just about any standalone office furniture store or modern furniture store should. Obviously you aren't going to find em at Office Depot.

Online obviously has the tax-free perk which is nice on a high ticket item. Every June and November there is a 15% factory sale from Herman Miller that all retailers will participate in as well.

This is my setup as seen a few months ago. Recently sold off all of the portables, DJ controller and picked myself up a MacBook Pro, Backup HDD and Wii U.

New pics don't have the Mac or Wii in them but I will try and snap some more this weekend.

Updated is looking a bit lonely as of now, but I don't mind the cleaner look, moved the Printer ontop of my mini fridge and off of my desk.

Hey, same here.
Here I go anyway:

That's actually quite cleaned up by my standards, you should see the palce right now...
Posting this reminds me I have to do something with the cables (especially the subwoofer cable that is a bit too short) and my walls.
But I'll move in a few month anyway so...

Thanks, it is !!

You know your setup (which is really awesome, even though I'm not a fan of the BMX bikes on the wall personally, but I'm a fan of clean / non-cluttered looks, so that's just me) would get more attention if you took the pictures with natural sunlight. Dark shots rarely look good.

OLD setup:
2011 Setup

Projector: JVC DLA-RS40 the 3D emitter sits atop the projector:

Screen in enclosure also visible is the sole sound source a Definitive Technology SSA-50 soundbar:

115in SeymourAV CenterStage XD (acoustically transparent screen):
[There are no waves visible when an image is projected and while I'm confident
I could change the tab tensioning to get rid of what little there is...I'm lazy.]

Components and rack:

Screen with an image:

19418717287576609467210.jpg

New Setup:

Only new items would be the Xbox One and the TV replacing the projector and screen.
Same Definitive Tech Mythos SSA-50
Same APC Power Conditioner/Battery Backup
Same Onkyo (definitely the last Onkyo I purchase)
80in TV: Sharp Aquos LC80LE650U

The TV was free so we just put the 42" plasma in our bedroom (I actually don't like having a TV in the room but not my call) lol

My sons setup is 42" LCD with Xbox One with Kinect but he only has his TV speakers. We're pondering giving him the Def Tech if we get a new soundbar but not sure yet there's been nothing wrong with the DT so it may just stick around for another few years.

I know the cabling needs to be better but the TV was just placed Tuesday so I'll work on organizing the wiring this weekend.

Just finished mounting my old monitor above my ROG Swift. Pretty happy with the humble setup I've got, what do you guys think?

Edit: Aaaaaaaaand by looking at the pic I noticed just how unlevel it was. Have since fixed.
