Just went to my Gamestop to pay off my pre order today.
I asked him how much credit someone would get if they brought the game back
this Monday.
He looked it up and told me it was $30.
Apparently, they usually give $40 credit on $60 games traded in that quickly.
Is GameStop expecting more trade-ins than usual for The Order?
Any GameStop Gaf-ers know?
those things are not related ffs
in what cases?
Griss needs to be banned. That is just a dickhead move.
how long till the embargo lifts? My local store might have broken street date, but I'm still not sure if I should buy the game
Not sure where you are but here (Canada) $30 seems to be the standard even for new games, unless there's a special promotion, then sometimes they give $40 back.

You won't get in trouble for a local store breaking street date. Go ahead and buy it if you want.
I'm in San Francisco CA. They seemed to be saying that it's $10 less than their usual
trade in amount.
lol that's not what I meant I meant review embargo, so I can decide if I should buy the game based on the reviews

Am I reading his post wrong? Griss doesn't seem to be the one spoiling the game from what I read, that was someone else, and even then it wasn't that specific. Also backseat modding isn't looked upon that favorably either
Money and time gets allocated somewhere.
Development time isn't infinite. It's entirely possible that they prioritize certain aspects of the game to be better.
Nice, you asked for the wrong guy to get banned.
While waiting for our review and videos in a few hours, we just got a HQ video straight from Sony, showing a bridge battle. It seems like we are the first to post it (I could be wrong).Enjoy

I like everything about the game except the actual gameplay, it just looks so incredibly generic :'(

I agree in some cases.
I think they could have been way more creative with the way you approach gunplay, though. I don't have any ideas of how. I guess that's the problem.
The visuals and overall atmosphere calls for something less generic, imo.

That bridge fight is quite tame, I've had a lot more intense firefights.
Sitting behind a cover while hordes of human characters walk towards you with seemingly no AI to speak of is intense?

Nice! What difficulty was that one? You were taking a few hits and got red screen pretty fastThat bridge fight is quite tame, I've had a lot more intense firefights.
+1That bridge fight Gamersyde clip is exactly what I was hoping for. Linear the way I like linear- yes you gotta get through this bridge but there are a number of different paths to take (left, right, center, or a mixture) to do it.

]Looks boring as all hell. Goddamn.[/B]
The enemy hit reactions look especially bad and jarring considering how good the graphics are.
Wooo, let's do this!
Wooo, let's do this!
Sick and tired of these Victorian era steampunk shooters with graphics that look like CGI and excellent sound effects and electric guns.
But really dude "boring as hell" is pretty harsh.
