So for folks far along in Raid, how's the RNG been treating you? I just finished the first
code red
gauntlet, and I picked up what seems like a mountain of Charge Shots and Fire Rate albums. It's nice to find rare stuff, but I haven't found anything useful (for my build) yet. <_<

Well, I did find an auto-shot, but eh that's not really my thing

You do move faster with the knife when using StM... just not running around. You're faster moving while attacking. It's easier to press in there for a slice or two and move back away.
Huh, I'd imagine this is also true of Melee Master since they seem to be the same thing

nope. savor the moment is like the campaign skill 'hair splitter' which lets you jog at full speed while still swinging (and it also speeds up your attacks)

melee mastery simply speeds up the attack itself, not your character's movement during it

the combination of melee master + savor the moment makes me think it's better than the katana for the enemies that aren't already trash mobs specifically because of the movement speed increase

Has anyone else experienced the game getting stuck on the uploading screen after a completed mission on raid mode? It's happened twice for me, and I had to force quit (PC version) out of the game to exit it.

Whoa, on the Global Rankings thing I'm one of only two people who have beat all 4 Episodes on No Escape difficulty on the PS4.

Can you quit as soon as you get to a checkpoint (i.e. see the little pulsing icon in the corner of the screen)? And then just hit continue to get right back to where you left off? This whole time I've only been quitting once I finish a chapter, but I had to leave barry chapter 4 in the middle because it was taking too long

Beat the game as well as the 2 bonus episodes. All in all a enjoyable enough experience though I expected a bit more. Than again it is a budget price so I suppose I shouldn't be too picky. Just a shame though since a lot of my dislikes are directly related to it being a budget game.

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS CAPCOM?!

So, I died at the final boss battle and right as I go back to try again, my character freezes in place after I skip the cutscene. No indication of control whatsoever. I even started moving my mouse around in the vain hope that I could change the control type, NOPE. Okay, no problem, right? Just restart and don't skip the cutscene, right? SAME THING. I am locked in place, unable to do anything after the cutscene finishes/I skip it. I have to restart Barry's whole chapter because of this >.<. *Sigh*
Might as well replay chapter 3 as well tomorrow to get the other ending since I screwed that up

Really discouraging to hear PC issues are getting worse. I'm only in episode 2 and I didn't even bother trying to
kill Pedro as Claire
because the game was hitching too much to be able to move around well. Still hoping for a patch soon.

I'm in for some DLC, especially if its much harder. Kind of disappointed it caps out at 90, makes levels 91 through 100 pointless.

Do you mean
the fight with Neil?
Never knew the light did something to him.

Get him to hit one of the tanks scattered about by dodging his attacks. Wait for him to loudly complain about the heat and then shoot his exposed uroburous heart.

I just lured him to strike close to those explosive containers. After doing that on two or three of them his weakspot would show up and I'd wreck his shit up.

To be honest I didn't even use Moira all that much. Didn't even know the light worked on him. Problem is the secondary character regenerates health, so if Moira gets hit who cares. But if I'm controlling Moira than Claire's AI causes her to take damage and I don't think her health regenerates as she's the primary character.

Anybody have a good strategy on that boss. I felt that it took awhile.

Also, while we're at it - what's a good strategy on the bad ending boss? I kind of thought it was all about throwing bricks at her since there are so many in that boss arena, but there has got to be another way since it took so long.

I think I may be one of the very few that actually rather enjoyed Little Miss. Liked the story involved in it, and the stealthing well enough.

Yeah you can. If you go up against the machinery and dodge he'll get lit on fire blowing it up. Keep him in the area and hell keep getting lit on fire. Speeds things up a bit.

On an unrelated note invisible mode is turning out to be pretty terrible. I'm at claires ep 2 boss and ive had enough as it really exposes how bad moiras Ai is with the flashlight. Better to quit now while my opinion of the game is still high.

No, I really enjoyed it, too.
Much more dark than I expected

I've S Rank'd every difficulty, including No Escape. My strats - Fire and Explosive Bottles, Machine Guns/Assault Rifles, and Magnums. You should always grab any stuff to make bottles that you see.

For Claire's boss - Chuck any bottles you have at him and kite him into the crates and run him around the ground fires keeping him burned up. Burn shotgun/pistol rounds to keep his attention when his weakpoint isn't showing. It will still do some damage to him. Using Moire is utterly pointless and a waste of time. When his weakpoint pops open after burning up enough unload your Machine Guns or Magnums into his spot full on. There's a LOT of bottles in Claire's ep 3, btw.

Don't chuck Fire Bottles at him while he's still burning, wait until the flames fade to toss more. Explosive bottles you can just unload into him.

For Barry's boss - Again, chuck bottles. Episode four gives you a TON of resources. You can easily put her into a prone, on her back state in any difficulty with just the ones available from that episode. Then just unload into her weak spot. Also, don't be afraid to just shoot at any part of her body. All that damage adds up and you don't need to only hit her weak point and I tend to dump Shotgun rounds into her in between bottle tosses. Takes maybe a minute tops to kill her with just the available episode ammo/resources and just unload on her.

Like Moira, Natalia is totally pointless to use on that boss fight.

Also just beating the game on Casual gets you the Chicago Typewriter - which is an amazing fucking weapon and the only bonus weapon that you can use without penalty. It's a 1 upgrade slot Machine Gun with a base 100 magazine, 30 rounds per second, and I think 90 damage per round. It has insane recoil, but if you have Barry's Anti-Recoil 2 mod it shoots perfectly straight. For Claire I use the Easy Hit mod thing and go easy on short bursts.

It *destroys* bosses and everything else.

has anyone spent the 50,000 bp to unlock the katana for the single player yet? I am curious if it is worth it. Also I am curious about the bubble gun.

someone needs to make a thread or something cuz this is a consistent problem in the PC version of the game on kb/m

i replayed barry's episode just to confirm it's a 100% thing too. it's kind of a huge major bug that the game is effectively broken at the very last moments!

Yeah, I have all the Bonus Weapons.

Katana is fucking *awesome* and wrecks stuff even on No Escape. Sadly, like all of the Bonus Weapons (except for the Chicago Typewriter), you can't get anything but a C Rank when using it.

Oh, and the Bubble Gun. It's hilarious. It puts a big translucent bubble around enemies and stunlocks them for a while. It doesn't hurt them, but renders them totally harmless and a big ass target for Barry to shoot.

Finished Little Miss. Not super great in the gameplay department but at least it had a few story beats. The theme was a little creepy and it's a shame they didn't push the concept further.

Now onto the struggle casual, since I got my ass handed to me for over an hour and something on survivor this morning.

Guess I'll wait before beating it. Apparently there is a glitch where you can't control your character during the final boss fight on PC and the new patch managed to make the rendering worse. Good grief this is really amateur hour.

How long are the bonus episodes supposed to be?

30-60 minutes. I haven't beaten Struggle yet (determined to do it on Survival as opposed to casual, but it is REALLY hard), but did beat Little Miss. Three stages, each around 10-20 minutes, based entirely around stealth and a little side story that compliments the main story pretty well, in my opinion.

I had the final boss frozen Barry glitch too, I got through it though with no ammo and no herbs by using the dodge command to move out of the cave as fast as I could.

But they do need to fix that, and the performance issue. That's the first big glitch I ran into in the game.

How does this even get past QA? It literally locked me out of beating it, I just tried again with controller again, same result >.<

Sad part was I was really enjoying it a lot, but this is souring my opinions on it

Oh my god yes, I finished it. I tihnk I got the good ending too. But I have a question, I unlocked a bunch of outfits it seems but I can't wear any of them outside raid mode.

Is there really no classic claire for campaign? Also it said I unlocked the sniper outfit for claire but i haven't finished gauntlet 8 on hard so I don't have it in raid mode and I can't select it for campaign either.

Also it said I unlocked a bunch of unique screen filters but again I can't select anything past normal. Am I missing something extremely obvious?

Need to buy the outfits and unlocked things with BP once unlocked from the Extras > Rewards menu, costumes cost 10,000 BP each once unlocked. You can use Classic Claire costume in the campaign.

Yes, you're missing something extremely obvious.

When you select Campaign and then under the Main Campaign/Countdown/Invisible Enemy selections there's an option at the bottom of the screen called Special Settings under Skill Settings. In that setting is Costumes and Screen Effects.

After I've been singing praises for this game, there had to something in it that pisses me off.... The struggle... seriously, who's fucking idea was it to have this limited respawn ability? I thought I was finally in the clear when I finished the first session of huge waves, and then it sends me on a stealthy area to find more food, and I couldn't find jack shit...so the next encounter I had I didn't have any more respawns available, and barely any ammo, because an ammo literally spotted me through a wall when I was hunting, so I had to haul my ass out of there before I could find anything.

Fuck this shit

Also, don't be afraid to just shoot at any part of her body. All that damage adds up and you don't need to only hit her weak point and I tend to dump Shotgun rounds into her in between bottle tosses.

Okay, this is key right here. Any boss that has 'weak-points' I keep thinking there is some kind of trick or puzzle to the fight. And I concern myself with not wasting ammunition worried that it won't do damage. So I spend most of the fight running around trying to discover some 'trick'.

So it's not to know that all damage adds up.

Initially I though Natalia's bricks is what caused her to go into an attack - state with the weak spot revealed. So I spend the the first 5 minutes of the collecting and throwing bricks. Cus why would they be all over the place then?

Just beat the game, OMG the fan service. I am in RE fan heaven right now, the entire final section is just RE porn!!!! I was cheering, I was giddy, Barry I love you!

What an amazing game, what this dev team did with limited resources is ridiculous. They need to be handling RE from here on out.

Just finished the struggle..I wish I could have watched all the story elements without actually playing it...story was good but the actual game play was boring...

My advice is to watch a youtube video of the story and skip actually playing it. This game is a solid 9.5 out of 10 for me, and easily the best game I have played since The Last of Us remastered....so it feels so out of place having this weak bonus episode in here...

Yeah. I straight up ran out on every gun and got fucked up.

I had the same thing happen to me a few times (running out of ammo, not getting wrecked by enemies as I only ended up dying once), luckily I was able to melee my way out. Funnily (now that I look back at it) I didn't realize until the end of the last "mission" (after I had run out of ammo and had
to kill 4 revenants and 2 of those things that were introduced at the end of Barry's 3rd episode
) that I could switch to Evgeny (for some reason I thought that since this episode (The Struggle) "played" a bit differently than the main campaign that meant I couldn't switch between characters like I could in the main campaign) and used the sniper rifle, which by this point had collected 70 pieces of rifle ammo.

P.S. I was playing it on casual difficulty (I usually play on normal difficulty, but for some reason that option wasn't available for "The Struggle") and may eventually try to run through it on survival difficulty

I actually did the EXACT same thing, lol. I kept picking up rifle ammo and thinking I missed something and forgot that mechanic entirely.
