Halo 5 Guardians: #huntthetruth

The "campaign" might tie into the multiplayer or a multiplayer mode significantly enough to where he nor the rest of the team distinguishes them as separate entities.

Oh God, I hope not.

The whole Titanfall approach thing? Halo is epic campaigns. Epic campaigns are Halo.

MC saved the universe multiple times now and all of a sudden people(in the story) find it believable he's a traitor?

Gotta push the story somehow post Halo 3. He saves the human race from extinction, saves all sentient life in the galaxy from extinction, is missing for five years, locates the Infinity, holds off the Prometheans and then gets shit from Palmer and then later Del Rio, lol.

Personally, after Destiny disappointing on so many levels and Marty leaving, there's never been a better time for somebody other than Bungie to be on Halo.

On Topic: I'm really interested to see where 343 takes the story. The ODST-style flashbacks would be an effective way to handle the Locke/Chief relation. I mainly want to see more of the Forerunners and maybe just a little bit of insight on the Precursors.

Edit:
Campaigns should be bigger, if anything, IMO.
#thisalreadysoundsbetterthanhalo4anddestiny

Edit 2: Also please as little Palmer as possible. Preferably none.

Heh, what? For me personally, I felt that the MP was one of the best since 2. And I have been a fan of Halo since CE, the changes they made since the Beta all sound fantastic. I honestly cannot wait for the game to finally come out (and see the BTB mode).

The mp died fast because of how much it ripped off CoD. Sprinting is garbage, grenades are weaker than ever (AND HAVE GRENADE MARKERS WHEN THROWN FFS 343), stupid killstreak rewards, etc. They took all the things Halo had managed to avoid doing and just shoved that shit right in there. I mean to be fair Reach had sprint but at least it could be disabled because it was an an armor ability, and I hated it in Reach to begin with.

open world...perhapssss?

Please oh god no? What a great way to guarantee the level design and ai wont be good at all because none of that would benefit from open world at all.

Open world game where you are either the Chief or the hunter, the chief has to finish his objectives without being captured/killed by the hunter, but there is no communication between them. Think Journey but with Halo and a twist.

It's a real time timer. If he gets to you its game over and you have to restart but it's always randomized but with same objectives.

Ok, hopefully Frank can shed some light...

The traitor thing is this...

Chief is being SEEN as a traitor after the events of Halo 4. Locke is sent to hunt him down. He finds him, but realises he's not a traitor and helps him. So now they're both seen as traitors.

Did someone already say this?

So this is gonna launch the Halo 5 live action bit they're doing?

Yeah, back in page 1.

That would be such a boring and obvious story, though. There has to be something else to it!

That's pretty much what going to happen. I think because of Nightfall, Locke will be reminded of Randall and remember what kind of people Spartan-II's are. The Guardians thing, I'm guessing they'll team up, start their own justice league or something while this UNSC/ONI/Rebels/Halsey storyline is going on. Wonder how Didact, possible return or Flood, and Arbiter will tie in as well if the story is going to be around ONI becoming more evil and ruthless and Halsey defecting to the storm Covenant.

Stinkles palming off the trolls left and right, respect.

I personally enjoyed Halo 4's campaign but the MP wasn't for me. Excited to see what 5 has to offer. I've not purchased an X1 yet but this could be what sways me. That and the MCC functioning.

Gimme a Halo bundle with both please!

The story description
Peace is shattered when colony worlds are unexpectedly attacked. But when humanity's greatest hero goes missing, a new Spartan is tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy.

I hope it ends like Halo 2 so i can see the glorious meltdown
That wouldn't cause any meltdown, maybe a few snarky jokes here and there, but Halo 2's ending would be an immense improvement over the way their last game ended. And if that didn't become a legendary punchline, there probably isn't anything they could do to make people care about these unepic conclusions.
